Frank, I Don't Know You , But I Played Linebacker and Center for Putnam War Eagles 78 and 79 under Al Reaves. Only 5'8 160lbs but hard and fast and had a blast. Loved to Hit those Running Backs. Got to meet Brent 4 yrs ago. WOW such a Humble Man. I been told that Every Young Man on that Blue Devil Team was Special not just Brent.. TSSalter
@@scottsalter7021 I remember you. Max Salter your dad? Yea great group of guys. We were class C and Brent was arguably the best running back in the state. Had a Eatonton Putnam hall of fame a few weeks ago. His 2 daughters said they didn’t know he played sports in high school until they were in high school. In 1968 when he went to Tech he ran a 4.4 forty. Good grades. Think he was Star Student. His health is failing him. Dementia I think. Breaks my heart.

My Daddy always bragged on Brent, I wanted to be like Brent so Bad. Went to his Home 4 yrs ago to meet him, We talked for about 2 hrs, Such a down to Earth Human. If You live in Eatonton get in touch with his Sister Holly, Tell her you want a Copy of a CD I had made from a 8mm Reel that was Made by Bill Snow Yall Senior Year. It Turned Out Really Good. As A Surprise I gave a copy to Brent and his Daughters. I think he liked It !!
In my opinion, AL Ciraldo was just as exciting as Munson, AND WAS A BETTER PLAY BY PKAY GUY. AL would give you ball location, down, distance, etc. Munson would only say for example, "And they give it to the tail who gets 3 and a half before he is knocked on his whatchamacallit."
Definitely Al Ciraldo and Kim King were the absolute best. No one else has ever been close. I used to listen to every game and it was just as good as being there!
