    Very good tutorial! The problem with using Z to zoom is that it stays in the zoom tool. If you use Ctrl+Space to zoom it goes back to the tool you were using.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому

      It seems Ctrl Space doesn't work on the old version of zoom, which is what I prefer.

    • @jorge242
      @jorge242 Рік тому

      @@GDHT I'm not sure what old version you are referring to. Do you mean opposed to "scrubby zoom" or what they now call "animated zoom"? I don't use that. I can't stand it! Ctrl+Space just temporarily changes your tool to the zoom tool to drag your zoom area like you did here.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому

      Ok, gotcha. Unfortunately on a Mac, CTRL Space gives me the Hand tool, and CMD Space wants to open Spotlight search. I could probably disable Spotlight search to use the zoom, but I really don't want to do that because I use it all the time. So it's Z for me! :)

    Very very helpful but can you slow down a bit? 👍🏾😎

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  3 роки тому

      Oooh sorry! This one is a more intermediate level tutorial, so I tried to match speed accordingly. Timing is one of the hardest things for me! I’m sorry it’s a bit too fast, but don’t forget you can always pause and back up if you need to. :)

    • @clarkkent502
      @clarkkent502 3 роки тому +1

      @@GDHT oh i paused and restarted several times thank you 🙏🏾....but other than that I will say your video really made things alot more clear than other instructional videos...

      @GDHT  3 роки тому

      @@clarkkent502 🙏 thank you! I’ll try to work on the timing more for future videos!

    When I use the Color Halftone I get a CMYK halftone, even though I am in RGB. How did you get it to be just black and white?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому

      While in CMYK, expand the artwork (it changes the halftone to raster). Then you can change your document to RGB.

    • @jorge242
      @jorge242 Рік тому

      @@GDHT It is actually made with individual CMYK dots, instead of black dots like you got.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому

      I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If your document is RGB, everything in it will be RGB. Maybe your color panel is just set to view CMYK right now (click the flyout and choose RGB).

    To be honest, this is kind of strange tutorial. I didnt suppose, that this last effext(dots) will be pixelized. So the the resolution is rediculous. :(

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  2 роки тому

      You can take it a step further and image trace the pixelized dots to make them vector.

    • @jorge242
      @jorge242 Рік тому

      Go into your Document Raster Effects Settings and change the resolution to at least 300.
