It's a slow process for my back. Anyway, I keep on keepin' on. I hope your ankle is better. I've broken my foot a few times but I know a broken ankle is a different story.

So I make sure to plant plots for them to eat and keep them around. Its very cheap and easy to do that. We also have lots of small game and easy access to fish. So we do pretty good in that regard. My focus is now shifting to preparing the house for nuclear fallout. Its not necessarily easy, but its easier than I had imagined. We approach it just like all of our previous prepping...just a little bit at a time. Thank you Heidi! If you have lived all over the lower 48 states then moved to Alaska, as I have, you might understand that the setbacks here, in my opinion, are FAR, FAR less unbearable than living down there. I like not seeing the air I breathe. Not needing alarms, bars and locks on my motorcycles, trucks, or home. Being a woman with a vulnerable autistic son and knowing we are both safe walking outside at night in our cities. We are at higher risk with animals than people. But it can't be understood unless you've experienced living in the most scenic space in our great country. I needed to be reminded of that, so thank you for the suggestion to move. Your comment also helped me. To quit fretting, settle down, focus on the light at the end of the tunnel with the determination and tenacity we Alaskans do, but most importantly, to be grateful and trust that there is a plan out of my hands and it will be okay, THANK YOU LADIES!!!
Bless your heart, I just had to say hi. You have a lot on your shoulders. I, too, get anxious over things, and the most helpful thing I've done was to take a break from prepper videos, particularly those who preach doom-and-gloom. It helps tremendously to get away from the bombardment. Also, summer's coming up. Maybe you could get help putting in a garden. Even just a few container plants, like herbs or potatoes can help boost your spirits. Are you able to do any canning or dehydrating? Maybe you could get with a group or another like-minded individual, buy in bulk and buy on sale, and share the work, maybe even share equipment. Just a few ideas for you. Hope there's something here that you can use.
I read a book in 2008 called, The Patriot. The message was clear but for some reason I had never considered the possibility. The premise of the book was a financial collapse. I thought the idea was likely or else an EMP. But with this current government, anything is possible especially with the Chinese, North Koreans and Iran being allowed to do whatever they want. I started preparing immediately. It cost me my marriage because my then wife thought I was crazy. "I trust in the United States of America" she would say...what the heck does that mean?? Oh well! My current wife allows me to prep but I really don't think she takes it seriously as I have tried to get her involved but to no avail. At least she doesn't make fun of me! I too have seen the writing on the wall these last few weeks....we're getting close to something major happening. Maybe even to 'delay' the elections until everything calms down. Your channel is amazing and I always learn something. Keep up the good work and God Bless!
I totally agree. I just have a gut feeling it will happen before the elections. The only person who doesn't think I'm nuts is a 90 year old woman who isn't your "typical prepper ". Thankfully she has a great family who will be there for if and when the time comes.
Hey Jara! I just went out and restocked on some items I use daily, plus a few extras for my pantry stock. I'm trying to stay on top of it. I've had that gut feeling a while now, that things are going to take a drastic turn. Thanks for the great video!
The cliche, of course, is "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it." I have my own addition to the other adage, "Two is one, and one is none." I say, "Yes, but SIX is still five." I retired from a job that I loved back in October. I still think of the folks I worked with, and miss most of them sometimes. But I worked long and hard, and when the day came, I had a plan. We moved away from the big city, and got ourselves a smaller house after living in a condo for over twenty years. Now we have a yard. And a generator. And a shed. And our spare bedroom is the storage room and my den. We're getting more things on the shelves, with more shelves to put them on. We're friendly with our neighbors. We're doing more with our preps, to keep our skills fresh. I most sincerely hope that nothing happens. But "Hope is not a plan." All the best to you all, may we never need our preps.
You just never know, right? I couldn't agree more, and I'm so happy to hear that you have a good plan in place! Stay safe, and thank you for being here!
Yes something big is coming and it's going to make or break us. 1st and foremost, keep your eyes towards Jesus, our saviour! Make sure you are right with your maker and repent and pray without cessation for our country. And prep as if your life depends on it because it could!
If it is truly the “big one”, then no amount of prepping will be enough. After you have a good supply of food and water, then it’s best to concentrate on developing skills and renewable resources.
Definitely try the Lume Deodorant. Takes a couple days to detox your pits from the aluminum in regular deodorants. Stick with it. I’ve used Lume for years. They have a new one that also stops sweat. So good! A little goes a long way. Won’t use anything else. ❤
@@suehop1579 Ah, now this is where we struggle. My husband is very slender and it can be a challenge to keep calories up and carbs and fat down. There is only so much chicken salad you can eat!
😎 ☀️ Jara I’m just beginning to learn about medicinal plants too. I hope as you begin making sauves, tinctures etc. you produce step by step videos so we can make them with you ( just like your Meals in a Jar series). I so appreciate that.
It’s my opinion that food prep is out of control. If we are experiencing a doomsday scenario, the last thing I will be concerned about is, “Do I have the necessary food stores to make chocolate chip cookies” 🤔… We’re talking survival, not the ability to maintain a gourmet diet. Store and rotate pemmican, hard tack, honey, peanut butter, canned and/or dried meats and vegetables, spirulina, and properly stored dry goods like rice, wheat flour and corn meal and the ability to prepare clean drinking water… many of you will disagree but I’m prepping for survival. If I was a millionaire with a bunker, then I would probably spend a little extra for the fancy dehydrated stuff.
Many of us have seen by the signs that something was coming. But, now more than ever !! Although not everyone is able to prep long term, most the people I know can, they just don't. I don't get it. I used to can, but, about a year and a half I bought a HarvestRight freeze dryer and have been freeze drying like a mad woman. I appreciate your channel and all that you do to help others prepare for what is coming...Sherri-Idaho

I planted 4 Dwarf Mulberry and several Brown Turkey & Celeste fig trees yesterday in Louisiana. I have 5 more fig trees and two Pineapple Guava shrubs to plant. The Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry grows fast and so do figs (here) and both can be kept in large pots and are easily multiplied into more and more trees with cuttings. They`re easy to root. I transplanted 2 bunches of green onions from the store and planted a bag of small red potatoes. Next year I`ll use a lot of these as seed potatoes. The green onions will eventually bloom and give me a ton of free onion seeds. I also planted spring onion and leek seeds, stevia, and stinging nettle and I`m starting an asparagus bed from seeds. I just planted carrots and bush green beans and I have radish almost ready to harvest and more I just started mixed with beets and spinach. I`m growing Southern Cow Pea varieties like asparagus pole beans, purple hull, crowder, and black eyed peas in the heat of summer and cucumbers and squash. The birds are getting a sunflower patch and the bees are getting bee flowers and the hummingbirds are getting scarlett runner pole beans.

That is awesome to hear, that makes me so happy! And I'm glad to hear you're a happy Thrive Life customer .. it's an incredible company, they really do things the right way 💚 I love it!
Good video. I had a couple thoughts. On the nuts, I bought raw peanuts in 2019 have them stored in a gallon mason jar with oxygen absorbers, and they're as fresh today as the day I got them, so you might try that for more long-term storage. I do the same thing with pecans. Also, brazil nuts make fantastic pesto--just saying. Vital wheat gluten can be used to make "faux" sausage, might want to look into that if you're interested. I'd want to experiment with the food jar, I believe it's insulated? If so, you might be able to start soups/stews, bring to a boil, pour in the jar and wrap in a blanket for a few hours to continue cooking the meal. Finally, I'll be watching for your opinion of the Lume product. TFS.

The threat to USA is the govt of USA .
I totally agree. I just have a gut feeling it will happen before the elections. The only person who doesn't think I'm nuts is a 90 year old woman who isn't your "typical prepper ". Thankfully she has a great family who will be there for if and when the time comes.
God help us if Trump gets back in
Hey Jara! I just went out and restocked on some items I use daily, plus a few extras for my pantry stock. I'm trying to stay on top of it. I've had that gut feeling a while now, that things are going to take a drastic turn. Thanks for the great video!
I'm very happy to see a young family that will be prepared for what may be coming. 👍👍👍💥😎
I watched that over and over I think it really reached down into me thank you Jara for all of your wonderful work
I just subscribed! I enjoyed your video. I have become a little weary of prepping lately, but you are so right. I need to get with it.
I love the word "hope" because I believe you should never lose it. But oh so true...Hope is not a plan. Love that!!
Thanks for sharing that saying.
Yes something big is coming and it's going to make or break us. 1st and foremost, keep your eyes towards Jesus, our saviour! Make sure you are right with your maker and repent and pray without cessation for our country.
And prep as if your life depends on it because it could!
What's coming precisely
@@deboramckamey-zl8tp open your Bible and read it. Especially Revelations. It tells you exactly what's coming.
If it is truly the “big one”, then no amount of prepping will be enough. After you have a good supply of food and water, then it’s best to concentrate on developing skills and renewable resources.
Agreed 💯

Definitely try the Lume Deodorant. Takes a couple days to detox your pits from the aluminum in regular deodorants. Stick with it. I’ve used Lume for years. They have a new one that also stops sweat. So good! A little goes a long way. Won’t use anything else. ❤
Litehouse has awesome herbs 💚 if I don't grow it, I buy from them.
Love this video. You have great ideas and purchase great items.💚💯
Looking forward to the low carb pantry meals/preps. Husband is diabetic so it’s really hard to know what to store.
Exactly, so many are diabetic/overweight
@@suehop1579 Ah, now this is where we struggle. My husband is very slender and it can be a challenge to keep calories up and carbs and fat down. There is only so much chicken salad you can eat!
I'm a candle burner/ lover and currently stocking up on candles is this a good thing to stock pile ?
Yes! Heat, light, safety....2 is 1
Don't forget matches, Bic lighters, and lighter fluids, to fill up lighters that can be refilled.
Always candles, I keep matches and candles taped together for emergencies.
😎 ☀️ Jara I’m just beginning to learn about medicinal plants too. I hope as you begin making sauves, tinctures etc. you produce step by step videos so we can make them with you ( just like your Meals in a Jar series). I so appreciate that.
Cloudy with some sunshine warm now cooling off ❤❤
Yes , I got a bit lazy, I stocked up a few pairs of shoes and ( lost weight) needed some new clothes , I have planted some seeds
Always look forward to seeing your videos. Many great ideas. ❄️ ❄️❄️❄️❄️ in Michigan
Thank you so much for being here, I appreciate you! 💗
Thank Jara. Always a wealth of info☁
🌞 Great reminders to keep our pantry stocked
Many of us have seen by the signs that something was coming. But, now more than ever !! Although not everyone is able to prep long term, most the people I know can, they just don't. I don't get it. I used to can, but, about a year and a half I bought a HarvestRight freeze dryer and have been freeze drying like a mad woman. I appreciate your channel and all that you do to help others prepare for what is coming...Sherri-Idaho
Weather was wonderful today down in Central Texas, cool mornings & nice rest of the day. I spent all day outside gardening, cleaning up our chicken coop and racking up leaves 🌻🌺🌞🐓 😊
That sounds amazing! We've got a little while before we'll be doing much raking here in Maine! 🤦♀️ I'm not sure how far away you are from Austin, but we'll be there Saturday the 16th for Thrive's regional event. You're welcome to come if you'd like! I can send the details if you email me at info@wickedprepared.com or text me at 207-762-7138
🌞 today 🌃 right now
Great haul. Later I am going to go through my PPE and see what gaps need to be filled (hand sanitizer for sure).
Cranberry trees are good, they can self seed but not badly so
Thank you for sharing and you got a lot of good stuff there and it will last you a long time.
Suave &VO5 last for more than 20 years in my experience. The product is the same as when new.

As always, great info! Thanks much for the time and effort. Totally look forward to your videos each Sunday morning!
It’s great to see some Asian cuisine ingredients and I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with for recipes. Love the pinch bowls. Thanks for continuing to expand my pantry!
☀️Sunny and mild in Nebraska today! Thanks for the video!
☁️ ☁️ 🌧️ ☁️ ☁️ thanks for being so thorough! We have limited space and 2 little kids, and everyone has different food allergies 😬 I think protein is our biggest struggle… hopefully canned chicken and tuna will suffice
Love watching your videos! Appreciate it! Although I consider myself prepared, I always pick up something new. Thanks again.
I look forward to some keto/low carb meal in a jar options.. thanks so much jara
🌨Snow rain mix here today. I always get good ideas from you haul videos. So many things I would not think of or didn't even know are out there. LOL I have started ordering from Thrive Life and have been making the meals in a jar in mylar bags since I do not have the pantry space for the jars. All the meals so far are so good and I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of food from Thrive life. They also have excellent customer service.
That is awesome to hear, that makes me so happy! And I'm glad to hear you're a happy Thrive Life customer .. it's an incredible company, they really do things the right way 💚 I love it!
You really just need yolk for stir fry. That powdered egg yolk would be scrumptious in that awesome haul ❤
TFS.
I wonder if the numerous so-called recalls are valid ... or it's just a way for officials to 'spirit away' more food to undisclosed locations ...
I agree 👏🏻
Great job finding the products needed for prepps
Everyday is the final call !
I would love to see a video on the thrive freeze dried foods. We cannot get them easily in NZ. Not many people show how they rehydrate them for recipes. Cheers Diana
Hi Diana, thanks for watching! This playlist has all of my videos that show using Thrive Life freeze dried food: ua-cam.com/play/PL-sp4L-Y4c5C5pDU6ef1Qf0GSDxkIwxcn.html
Thrive is also in the process right now of expanding internationally. They are getting everything finalized right now. If you'd like to email me at info@wickedprepared.com .. I can put you on my list and as soon as Thrive Life is available in your country, I will notify you 😊

Shredded coconut (unsweetened is best) works to stop diarrhea in both dogs and people! I’ve been using it for years. It’s in the baking aisle but I get it in bulk and organic..off of Amazon (I store it in jars, it comes in a big bag). ❤

Do you know, is that shelf stable? It's a rather large amount to keep in your fridge.

Thank you for all this valuable information.
Maine here also. The produce in stores right now is horrible❤
Check out thermal cooking for with that big thermos. You can put in your dried foods with boiling water and put on the lid and wait. Saves fuel. Also you can cook foods in a thermos with the residual heat. I love thermal cooking :)
good video and Info from Skowhegan
I was born and raised in skowhegan... been in NC most of my life now but miss what I have always considered home!
Did canning, freeze drying and dehydrating this weekend.
Great prepper items Jara!! Enjoyed the video and I'll be ordering some of the items you showed! Thank you so much😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much, and thank you for being here! We appreciate you!!
☔🌬️ that's our weather today in Maine. Rainy and windy.
The weather here is rainy but temps have warmed up since last week. I’m wearing a raincoat this week!
The Survival System Medicinal Herbs packet is great, I’m in Kentucky and I already have started some of these herbs. I am just now dipping my toes into medicinal herbs.
I am good it shit hits the fan i live on a farm. We got beef and pork (live) and deer and ribbits and a big garden. Heat with wood, have solar pannels, and make my gasoline and have a 4x4 that runs on wood gas, so let it happen
I hear the most ppls say they got enough for this many days or months or weeks or years n it's time when we prep u gotta think it won't go BK to normal n the ones who have bunkers can u live in it ur whole life bc time is precious
I got a air fryer for Christmas the ninja one and I plant and grow a big garden so can't wait until I can dehydrate all kinds of things n vacuum seal too n more n I grow for my family n animals as well too
Can’t wait for your videos highlighting keto. I’m keto/carnivore for over 5 years. Knowing how to prep for keto long term is an area lacking in my knowledge.
There's a storm coming , and it's going to be a very ugly one..
Portable folding solar panel (60 watts minimum is best) with USB charging ports, power bank, USB fan...prevents heat stroke after hurricanes.
I was just looking up vacuum packing nuts in Ball Jars, it looks like you can get a 3-year shelf life, although they may degrade a little after 2 years. Has anyone tried this?
Glad you’re working on keto recipes. So many people with diabetes
Nice prepper pantry haul. It is much more sensible than some youtuber hosts show. 🙂

⛅⛅ I enjoy your channel and I especially appreciate the recipes for using freeze dried foods, hopefully more people will wake-up to what's going on and get prepared. we've lived in a rural mountain community for many years but our wonderful community is being taken over and is changing rapidly. People fleeing cities to rural areas bring their faulty way of thinking with them, instead of fitting in they try to turn our community into what they're running from and they're bringing crime with them. I would like to be more welcoming to them but they think their problems were about location instead of behavior. Unfortunately many people suddenly showing up in rural areas are not like minded people. I recommend your channel whenever I have the opportunity, hopefully it will make them think. Thank you.
Thank you so very VERY much!! You're too kind! 😊❤️ I'm so glad I'm able to help! Stay safe, my friend 🧡

@beckywilliams832 Where did you get that information? It's not true.
@@JudeNoneyaI’m so tired of their misinformation
@@doricetimko5403absolutely not “misinformation” whatever or whoever gets to determine that…when your country is invaded with 6+ million people in 3 years do you think that won’t have an affect on supply chains, housing, food, clothing, doctors, hospitals, schools, legal aid…i can go on but people like you are too dense to understand
Just found your channel, I'm wondering what do i do if i live in Subsidized housing and if the grid goes down we have no power. I have been prepping for can goods and rice and spaghetti, oatmeal, but what do i do to be able to cook, get a small one burner camping stove. Also was wondering what i could do about water filtration. Do they have tablets? windy and cold here in N.H.🌬️🌨️
I have a one burner butane stove that is great for cooking indoors without power. You can get one at walmart for $20-$30. They come in a storage case with a handle. Pick up a few cans of butane fuel for it as well, if all you are doing is heating canned foods a can will last you quite a while. For water, there are water purification tablets you can get. You could also check out the Sawyer line of water filters, they are small and inexpensive but filter a lot of water well. You should be able to find all these items at a Walmart.
@@wickedprepared Thank you so much I knew about the butane stoves, but I will check out the filtration. I have a six cup filtration from Brita but I would like something bigger. I'm also diabetic so I am going to watch your videos to see if you have gone over ways for food that diabetics can eat. I have been prepping the wash cloths and bandages and some other stuff but my main worry was the water and some dried food which I saw in your video. Thank you again.
