I'm with you - I LOVE the old version and was so happy I found something that finally doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - so BUMMED out Purito did this. Thanks for the great review!
After they had the issue with their original suncreen, not having the protection they claimed, they just restructured and rebranded. Sadly, changes were expected. Sorry it got discontinued; for me, the centella makes it really appealing. Still will check Stylevanna and order it to try. Thanks for letting us know.
That was yearssssss ago, in 2020. After that happened they reformulated and relaunched their products but maintained the same brand identity. I never tried their products before the scandal so I had nothing to compare it to but I was very happy with the Go-To Daily Sunscreen that they launched after the scandal. The new rebranding happened this year and they've completely changed everything. :(
Try the One Thing Centella Moisturizing Sunscreen, the Some By Mi Truecica Mineral Calming Tone-Up Sunscreen or the Numbuzin Pure Glass Clean Tone Up. These three are korean hybrid sunscreens.
You don't really need to reapply... Testing showed that 50SPF keeps its potency after 6 hours. If you play sports and sweat, it'll go down to SPF30 in 6 hours, which is still plenty of protection.
Reapplying is not because protection wears off. It’s because after some time, the film created by the sunscreen to protect your skin is not fully protecting you anymore because it becomes patchy. Reapplying gets ride of the patches.
@@werq180 I'm trying to point you to a PubMed article, but my comments are being deleted... There are plenty of in vivo studies that show this. No need to be psychotic about reapplying, like UA-camrs are obsessed about. It's more important to be consistent.
@@lukastemberger that’s not feasible because 1. you already rubbed the sunscreen into your skin 2 hours prior, so there’s nothing left for you to use to “smooth out the patches” 2. You don’t know where the patches are if you’ve rubbed your sunscreen in and it was clear on your face 3. If you did try to do that all you would be doing is creating a patch in another area, so you would still have patches anyway. Please reapply your sunscreen.

@@oreoluwafale2118 That sounds weird. In that case, you can just smudge what you have on your face already and smooth out the patches lol.
