I must say that I’m not familiar with the Bonzo brand, but your restoration was great! Loved the colors! Very cool little toy brought back life. Thank you very much for sharing!
Nice job, luckily this car had all the important like pieces, grill, bumpers and hubcaps, and it’s rust was surface and had not rusted off the tabs or put holes in the metal
Great video and great job on that ranchero. I think a pastel color instead of the blue would have made it look period correct though. No criticizing though.it does look really good. I would be proud to have that sitting on my shelf

To think that with today's standards of child safety back when I was a kid . This would have been outlawed before it hit the market . God how I miss the old days .
Now I'm learning how these toys were put together in the factory some are a little more complicated than others but they were quality toys and can be restored tonka toys are plastic now they found ways to create them at less expense but charge more them
This may be a dumb question, but how do you get the powdered paint to stick to whatever it is you're painting, and what does cooking the thing do besides making it look all nice and shiny?
@Freddles279 thats awesome and if they weren't csr guys they wouldn't be here looking at an old toy restoration which is kinda what my hobby is but I do a smaller scale.
I was very impressed until no effort was made to prime and wet sand to produce a smooth surface... and then using a metal screwdriver against freshly painted metal to bend the tabs in place... made my teeth hurt. Excellent job creating new windshield and rear window, though. Finally, the audio of whatever that noise was other than the work on the toy was very annoying and distracting.
Hello friend, the Bonzo brand toys were made with scraps from the manufacture of lard cans. For this reason they are extremely thin, which makes it difficult when sanding or straightening. I'm sorry for that. My camera's microphone had a problem. In the last videos it has already been corrected.
@@restorediy: Thank you for the thorough explanation of the limitations of the metal you were working with and the polite response to my critique. I will keep watching! Cheers, John

Who was the "Bonzo" who set those front wheels way too far back into the fender wells? Looks like they designed the thing wrong - wheelbase was too lang.
I would have made the interior a different color, but nice job. As others have noted ... the sound effects are horrible - I suggest music or narration.
@@restorediy Thank you! I really like your videos. I watch them at bedtime. Make me calm, not to mention that your work is amazing. Congratulations! 😊👏🏻👏🏻

THAT'S A RANCHERO!
Always wanted one.
What better way to spend your time indoors than watching people turn these old toys into works of art
WOW! Talk about rust. Glad you're there restoring history. Great job!
LOVE your videos! My favorite parts were the media blasting and powder coating. Keep up the great work!
You've done a great job, beautifully restored. Beautiful color too. A special model, never seen before.
Очень хорошо. Лайк! Если бы ещё восстановить узор на сиденьях и показать как реставрировался инерционный механизм, - было бы просто идеально.
& it's good that I've seen this restoration video before, at least it doesn't corrupt my mind.
Even though this educational video doesn't mention, how to run a hobby stores.

Nice restoration , would've been good as a rat rod pick up truck aswell in its original condition 👍lol 😆
É impressão minha ou esse restaurador é brasileiro 🤔
That looks like a Ranchero
My thought exactly.
I agree
Vaguely; doesn’t seem to be any particular make. A bit like an Imperial front with canted headlights and sort of 59 Oldsmobile rear treatment. Unique.
That's what I thought too.
Gostei desse tom de azul! Esta miniatura ficou show de bola!
Sounds like the autofocus needs turned off because it's too noisy.
Seu trabalho é perfeito...só não entendo porque azul...sempre azul...deixa a cor original.
Gorgeous!

Hello Friend. Bonzo was a toy manufacturer that reused scraps of lard cans to make his toy cars.
Make a rusted one
Vc deveria pintar nas cores originais
Is that suppose to be a Ranchero ?
Diecast model cars that you find did you know that Coca-Cola can be used to get rid of the rust on the vehicles
You left a lot of rust on the sheet, it will rust again underneath the paint.
What do you use to get off the old paint?
sandblasting machine
@@restorediy thanks
You know that looks more like a 1963 Ford ranchero it's not a truck
you can see traces of old paint before he starts to spray blue powder. didn't like the quality of the windshield replacement. for is regular job
Where do you find these that I've been trying to find these kind of toy cars for years I have never seen them around anywhere

You didn't rust proof anything after all that rust would have thought that was the first thing to do and you didn't sand anything for a better finish.
