My favorite band of all time. My mom brought us boys on this music. I brought my boy on this music and now my boy is bringing his kiddos up on this band. They are amazing. One of a kind. Never happen again. Special.
In 1981, I was in the Navy and overseas on a ship. I had a Sony Walkman and an Earth Wind & Fire Greatest Hits tape......can't tell you how many nights I sat out on the deck and listened to it....awesomeness!

It truly is amazing how music can take you back. I remember hearing this a lot from my oldest sister along with a lot of Disco stuff like the Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, ABBA, or anything you could dance to. I heard most everything though as I have 6 brothers and sisters and of course, parents and each of us had different tastes in music. There was always a wide variety of music going in the house.
I don't know 1 person who can listen to this without grooving and getting down. Absolute perfection!

Earth, Wind and Fire is one of those groups which brings back great childhood memories for me. Their music often emanates from hatches on my boat, or speakers on deck, to this day. Feels good. BTW, BJ has that chair dancing down and Asia your smile brightens the day.

Love Phil's voice! We disco danced to EW&F and loved it when their songs came on. Dresses and 6 inch heels being guided around the dance floor. Such fun, do the Hustle. lol 💖
Can't go wrong with some great earth wind and fire music a EWF live would be really dope. fantasy, can't hide love, devotion, reasons, sing a song, shining star, you want my love and thats the way of world are just a few great earth wind and fire songs.
I saw them at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam. That is the world's largest indoor music festival (I think). There were 13 stages and others like Stevie Wonder, Nas & Damian Marley played. By a LONG SHOT, Earth Wind and Fire we're the most energetic and best act to see there. The Bass player never stopped moving for their whole set. To this day, my favorite group to see live.
Watching Verdine White lay down that base line reminds me of California Jam 1 and watching the unbelievable energy of dancing and expert playing, you can’t sit still during the songs unless it was one of EW&F’s slow ballads. These guys killed their set at California Jam along with all the other acts that played. What a perfect inclusion EW&F were that afternoon!
This has always been one of the feel good songs for me. Whenever I get into a funk, it lifts me up and changes my mood immediately. Love me some EWF, anytime, anywhere.

I had a pretty good album collection back in the mid-70s. EW&F's All 'N All was one of them. I recall September coming out. It wasn't a R&R song, which was my music roots once I entered the teen years, but I have always loved music - genre be darned. [ I had albums ranging from rock icons like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to pop artists like Michael Jackson and Joe Jackson. ] But September took us all by storm. You would see hip dudes with their long hair blasting this song from their car stereos. I remember shooting baskets when this song came on the radio [ which I always had with me ]. Participating in my 2 favorite activities - basketball and music. " The Best Of Earth, Wind & Fire Vol. 1 " is a must own album.

This song always played at Discos, one of the best! Raw talent, you had to be almost perfect to be successful back then, but look at the results! Awesome!

I sometimes get teary-eyed seeing this, because I wanted to see them live, and I kept putting off, then Maurice died. Same with Rush, and Neil. Our fav bands are not immortal - see them ASAP.

I was lucky enough to see the horn section when they toured with Phil Collins Face Value album. Let me tell you, they came out in fluorescent pink zoot suits, including matching hats, with fluorescent green ties. Those guys stole the freaking show! They are incredible!

The universal LOVE they radiate on stage has no race. There were every race dancing in the aisles and having the time of their lives. The greatest band ever.
