Hey Vaani, I can't be more grateful than today I mean rn for discovering chalchitra talks and kitabicabins. I was right in the middle of an emotional Strome and without even reading the thumbnail or title I tapped on the video and I'm glad I did that, felt like this was the exact recommendation I needed so badly more than ever. I'll take the liberty to say that I feel like this video was just made for me. Thank you so much for these channels, recommendations, and interviews I mean for everything. I am glad, grateful and thank you for existing. Love ❤️
Personally, as person suffering from depression myself, I think the book 'I've Never Been (Un)Happier' by Shaheen Bhatt is the most honest and raw depiction of depression, what it means to be in depression and various other aspects. I highly recommend you pick up this book.
I recently started reading after ages! A big thank you to Chalchita talks and Vaani for all the recommendations. Its impossible not to pick up a book after listening you explain characters and plots! Keep the recommendations coming! ❤️
Hey kitabi fam and vaani I'm so happy to finally see this recco. I always wondered why Mental Health related books didn't have their separate recco but finally it has and I must say what an amazing one. As an ardent book lover and a doctor too, I am especially happy to see you talk about The body keeps the score because I believe that this is a a scientifically honest and beautifully written book on the human mind, the emotions, the traumas, the defences, the body and their intricate relationship. I feel this book along with ( The School Of Life - Allain de Botton) is a must read for everyone which helps us understand ourselves and others and make us more empathetic, a quality which is needed in this world today more than ever. Also few other books in this cateogary that I would like to recommend for people who would like to explore more of this world and which are less hardcore and lighter reads than these two but not at all light in its content and reflection are : 1. Maybe you should talk to someone - Lori Gotleib 2. Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine - Gail Honeyman 3. Illicit happiness of other people - Manu Joseph 4. Em and the big Hoom - Jerry pinto ( Amazing review last month) Looking forward to reading Light from many Lamps. Also I would like to say that I'm very happy and thankful to you guys for creating chalchitra talks and kitaabi cabins , especially for people like us who relate to books, movies and music more than anything else and want to know and talk more about them. ❤
I would recommend Hippie by Paulo Coelho which talks about the man who wanted to travel the world and ends up falling in love with Karla saranen and their love is different holding it to be spiritual 🤔
