You can bring 2 bottles of wine on board per stateroom. Our classic drink package on a 7 day cruise will run $826 for the two of us. It only covers drinks up to $10, and we only have 2 days at sea, 4 are spent at port. Between us, we'd need to drink 82 drinks to make it worth it, we'd also be responsible for anything on top of $10..... This would be in addition to the 2 bottles of wine we're bringing on board. I don't know too many couples that can drink that much.
Getting the Classic drink package with our current Celebrity booking. The booking also included $200 ship credit. Which I will use if I do buy the more premium drinks. The classic covers $10 / drink and if your drink goes over that, you would just pay the difference. I think $200 will allow a lot of premium drink options! If a premium cocktail, for instance, is $11 (which many are) I could get 200 of them before I’d actually have to pay out of pocket. I’m never drinking that much! And if I did, I likely wouldn’t remember the cruise at all!
We aren't big drinkers and only planning on using the zero proof package for our 12 day cruise next year. Most days we will be in port for a majority of the day walking through sights ect. We might buy a bottle of wine on at sea days but that is hardly enough to justify $80 a day/pp.
This has been very helpful. Thank you! We got the All Inclusive package for our upcoming cruise and aren’t big alcoholic drinkers but we do enjoy our specialty coffees and teas as well as a beer or wine with our meals. Nice to know that we’ll be covered and the taxes will be covered as well.
Thank you for sharing this! We’re taking our first cruise on the Summit in May. We opted to not take the drink package as it was going to run us $1968 for a 10 day sailing. And that’s the pre-cruise price quoted to us at $81.99 pp/pd. I don’t think we will drink that much, but we’ll see how it goes.
I did the same…there was a flash sale to upgrade to premium…well worth it for the specialty drinks outside of the alcohol based options…but I do prefer top shelf as well so there’s that! 😂
The only question I have it’s if the non-alcoholic beer is included, I suppose yes, because celebrity says all non-alcoholic beverages are included, but I read some people on Facebook who said it wasn’t.
Found your vlog really useful. Am I right to say that if you upgraded from the all inclusive classic drink package to a premium drink package. I am right to say that if the drink allowance is in the package you don’t pay the gratuity for each drink as your getting the gratuity on the package drink. It’s only if you go above the package amount and the gratuity is on the difference from the package
If you book the all inclusive option you get wifi, gratuities and the classic package. Upgrade to the premium package is $20 pp per day, but they often have promotion. We recent saw one for $6.99 per day.
We booked the all inclusive option that includes the classic beverage package but we don’t really drink a ton of alcohol. We assumed that mocktails would be included in the classic package but now we are thinking that’s not included in the classic package. So we are confused as to why a virgin pina colada would not be covered but a regular one would be. Seems like we’d be saving celebrity money by omitting the alcohol. Why would they not include mocktails???
This is a great video! My husband and I are celebrating my birthday on the Apex in December. It's our first Celebrity cruise. We booked a Magic Carpet Suite and have the premium package. How do staff know you have a drink package? Is there something on your key/card or a bracelet? (I'm allergic to latex, so I'm curious - and cautious.)
Glad you found the video helpful. Your key card will indicate you have a drink package and it will show on your account when the staff swipe your card. Have a great cruise. Apex is a beautiful ship!
I think I will get the Premium, I am not much of a drinker; cocktails, fine wine for meals, I like the idea of premium water and squeezed juices and smoothies
Don't expect too many fresh juices. There is no freshly squeezed orange juice at the breakfast. You have to get it from the Spa Bar at the inside pool on the Solstice Class for example. If you are not big drinkers take the Classic and pay the difference for the more expensive alcoholic drinks. The premium is highly overpriced especially when you have a cruise with many ports and you do not pour alcohol in you the whole day.
Meanwhile the prices for the packages went stupid. 130$ per day and person for the Premium Package or 90$ for the Classic incl. Gratuity is ridiculous.
How are they going to know if you order a drink for another guest? Just go and get the drink and walk away from the bar and hand it to your partner or other guests
I have a Celebrity Cruise booked for next year. I opted not to get the drink package as I know I will never be able to consume the amount that I would be charged. I recently started looking at Virgin Cruises and found out that they have what they call a Bar Tab that is a set price and can be used for whatever and for whomever you choose. I think the other cruise lines should think about following this example.
The Bar Tab is a nice feature of VV, but many cruisers like having a traditional drink package too. Unfortunately, you can't please everybody. Happy cruising. 😀
I recently sailed on Equinox and I had the premium drink package. I asked for a bottle of Evian water, which I have always gotten on the Celebrity ships, and is on the list for the premium drink package, but was told that it is only available for suite guests. I kept asking in different venues on the ship and I kept getting the same answer. I was told that I could request it as my water in the main dining room but I still could not obtain any bottles of it. What’s up with that? They offered me Aqua Panna water, and one of the servers told me it was better and I told him no it wasn’t.😇 That still did not get me my Evian.🤷♀️
Hi, We have got a cruise booked for next year with the Inclusive Classic package. I drink a lot of Disarrano which according to the lists I've seen is not included in the package. Is this is because its over $10 per drink or for other reasons? I'm just wondering if I would have pay the full price or just the excess over $10.,as I might need to consider the upgrade to the premium package.
You get a $10 credit and then the difference for any drink over the allotment of the package. We drink a lot of martinis, so we upgrade to the premium. Happy sailing.
Thank you for the reply@@Eatsleepcruise1 . I was leaning towards the upgrade just needed a bit of reassurance. I do like the idea of not having to think about a bill at the end of the week even if i dont quite drink enough to cover the package.
It irks me that i have to pay the all inclusive raye for my toddler who is technically sharing a room with me. Doesn't make sense to apply that rate to undersage kids.
you’d have to be a real lush head to be purchasing liquor packages that end up costing you more than the cruise itself! It’s best to find a duty free liquor shop and go that route!
So can you get a martini from the martini bar using local brands instead, really can't see the fuss with only having premium brands , after having 2 drinks no one cares and water is water.
The standard Wi-Fi on the cruise line stinks, I had problems even get on a tablet with a standard Wi-Fi I could not use WhatsApp understand the Wi-Fi. I land up going off the ship report a cool to use their Wi-Fi I found it so much better kept in touch back home
this is not useful at all and it is confusing related to the Classic Package! At 5:41 once you say that Classic includes a lot of premium branded cocktails! Then at the end of the video at 10:05 , you show prices and none of the cocktails or even mixed drinks are under 10USD! So which one is it then? would have worth more if you showed us a photo or snapshot of the actual drink list from a bar so we can see what is under 10USD and what is not.
I’m doing a 6 night cruise and decided to get the all inclusive just for the over experience. Plus between water, speciality coffee and cocktails I know I’ll drink enough. Like you mention in the video I don’t want to be surprised at the end of the cruise. I’ll keep track of all my drinks

(3) allow the improved script to be read by someone with a pleasant, much-slower-moving voice with ultra-clear pronunciation. You have a TREMENDOUS amount of info, which you have packaged well, but your voice is almost unbearable. You speak most words at an almost unbelievably fast rate (causing many of them to be UNintelligible to me. This was true, even after I had gone into UA-cam's settings and changed the speed to 75%. I thank you for your efforts, but please do believe me when I tell of of the great need for improvement. 25% of the value of the drink package is not having to sign for everything, and having a drawer full of receipts…so with that said, you would be crazy to NOT have a drinks package.
I mostly drink water in my daily life and buy 1-3 alcoholic beverages for the length of the cruise. So for me I would be saving $200-950 for a week long cruise. I will gladly sign that receipt. Thank you very much.
You can bring 2 bottles of wine on board per stateroom.

We prepaid for all inclusive for $75 a day each for the classic drink package, basic WIFI and prepaid tips. Well worth it.
I've done that on my last two cruises. Then upgraded to the premium package. It wasn't that much more and well worth it.
I did the same…there was a flash sale to upgrade to premium…well worth it for the specialty drinks outside of the alcohol based options…but I do prefer top shelf as well so there’s that! 😂

Thanks for the info on the Zero Proof package, that seems best for my partner and I. You are allowed to bring 2 bottles of champagne per person.
If you book the all inclusive option you get wifi, gratuities and the classic package. Upgrade to the premium package is $20 pp per day, but they often have promotion. We recent saw one for $6.99 per day.

If I’m on vacation, I don’t need to get drunk. I need to get drunk if I have to go to work tomorrow.
If most beers are $6.50-7.00 (less than $10) why aren't all beers included in the classic package?

When you say soda's are included in the Classic Package vs Coca-Cola in the premium package. What is the difference there?
I think I will get the Premium, I am not much of a drinker; cocktails, fine wine for meals, I like the idea of premium water and squeezed juices and smoothies

Just sailed the Apex in March and it was well worth it for us. Only thing I had to pay for was $2 for the smoky drink in a box at Eden.

Cutting costs at every corner !
Hello, With the classic drinks package, is it possible to drink cocktails such as caipirinha, mojitos and/or others?
yep
So I purchased the classic non alcoholic pkg before they renamed it. Will they still honor that pkg for the price I paid??
Yes, if you have already purchased the package they should honor it. We suggest contacting the cruise line to confirm.
How did I pay £140 for premium on Millennium for 12 day cruise ... (japan) ... included full wifi ... ? ...
can you order a double at no additional cost
