Cooperation between Basel and Seoul: Civil society & peacebuilding

Basel und Seoul pflegen vielfältige Beziehungen in den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Innovation, Bildung und Forschung, nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung sowie Kultur und zivile Friedensförderung. Mit der geplanten Formalisierung der Kooperation in Form einer Städtepartnerschaft im Herbst 2022 unterstützt der Kanton Basel-Stadt die Anliegen und Aktivitäten der involvierten Akteure und die Positionierung des Standortes Basel.

Basel and Seoul maintain diverse relations in the fields of business, innovation, education and research, sustainable urban development as well as culture and civil peacebuilding. With the planned formalization of the cooperation in form of a city partnership in the fall of 2022, the Canton of Basel-Stadt supports the activities of the stakeholders involved and strengthens the position of Basel-Stadt.
