The sound is actually one of the only things I don’t like about the lfa
I think it's funny how Lexus makes some of their favorite and least favorite cars.
Favorite: LFA (obviously), GS F (Clarkson praised its driving experience despite its poor lap time at the Eboladrome).
Least favorite: SC 430 (crowned the worst car in the world), RC F (reviewed negatively by Clarkson and pretty much every other reviewer I've heard)
Never got the hatred for the RCF. It’s not as good as LFA, yes, but it’s still a decent car
The big reason though that they selected the SC430 as the worst car in the world was specifically because it's a Lexus. They'd been developing the LFA around the time they made the SC430, so they could do so much better. There are far worse cars than the SC430 but the kicker is that the SC430 was made by a company that "knows better"
Funnily enough, the SC430 and the RC F became Race Cars. The SC430 raced in Super GT's GT500 and the RC F currently races in GT3!
Yeah the RCF is assed. Compared to the M4, its more of a boat and less balance. For sure the M4 provides stiffer handling but RCF sure does make pretty darn prestigious V8 noise like its imposing-looking exterior (and I'm occupied in Yamaha to unleash a hydrogen-fuelled variant of the 2UR!). Toyota should give it some carbon fiber cylinder head, a manual stick, improved infotainment, a supercharger & lighter chassis 🤷♂️ Unless I'm proven wrong
LFA was the most un-Lexus thing made by Lexus, with that sound note, unarguably one of the best sounding cars, pause, in the world
These episodes and the lore around LFA are now making that car become a instant classic. Adding hundreds of thousands of dollars to it's cost.

It's a pity that the IS F got such a brief mention at 3:42. It was the very first model in their F Sport line, and frankly, I think it remained their second best (after the LFA) until they made the new IS 500 F Sport Performance. That's why the IS F and IS 350 from the same generation are on my car wishlist.

The LFA is an excellent car but I firmly believe the LS400 is the best car Lexus ever produced.

There’s also a line from Clarkson that says “LFA was so good, Lexus forgot how to make it again” when reviewing the RCF

So the Lexus LFA is one of the few super cars that I've got the chance to drive, just for 2 hours. I fell in love with that car, it's easy for me to say that, but for Jeremy to say that it's astounishing

@@theroyalcrown9165 What he says is true though, in fact the Toyota Gazoo Racing team that now inspires alot of Toyota's sports cars was, at least in part, originally established to develop the Lexus LFA and enter it into the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring, where it was being developed.
Also don't confuse the Volkswagen Group with the Volkswagen car manufacturer. Owned by the same people, yes, but the other is simply a holding company and the other makes the actual cars. By that logic it means every car made under the Volkswagen Group umbrella is a Porsche cause Porsche SE (another holding company) owns the Volkswagen Group.

There is a long running joke within the UK that there is a certain type of man. Normally middle management, obsessed with self importance and his view about how our country is better than anyone else's... Masonry is a hot bed of these types of fat grey men, constantly banging on whilst, having a semi on.. that they're a very important thirty-fifth grand wizard of the beer gut lodge.
So frustrating hoe everyone talks about how it can rev from idol to Redline in such a quick time. But there is not one video, I can see or find. Of this thing being fed gears clicking along at anywhere near redline. Everyone changes gear at like 4-5rpm. So disappointing!
