    (-1 + s ) is not in (1 + sT) form. It is -1( 1 + s(-1)), here T = -1.

Omaga equal to zero to infinity. We got 2magnitude and phase angle-180.why you plotted graph left side it would be in right side time10:45

If Phase angle - 180 means on left side......

Look at the angle graph... - 180 is on left side of the graph...

2 is the magnitude...... Positions depend on phase angle...
First of all look at the phase angle... Graph going to start from - 180 degree phase angle.. And its magnitude is 2

sir which angle is greater -100 or -185 degree? in an polar plot, one point is -100 and other point is -185 . Which is greater than -180? Angles are rotating anti clock wise in polar plot. so all angles are minus.

    • @tejasahire

185 i greater than 100 only difference is it is anti clockwise direction

In complex numbers, why do we add 180 degrees to our answer in angle theta=arctan (b/a)? I have seen 2 problems that the first, it didn't add 180 degrees while in the second prob you need to. How will you know when to add and when to not add?
It depends on the quadrant the numbers a and b are in and it depends if you want the result to be in the range 0-360 degrees or -180 to +180 degrees.
If a >= 0 and b >= 0 you are in first quadrant and you do not add 180 degrees. The result should be in the range 0-90 degrees.
if a < 0 and b >= 0 you are in second quadrant and you want a result in the 90-180 degrees range and unless your arctan gives you a result in that range you should add 180 degrees. Specifically if the result from arctan is negative you add 180 degrees.
if a < 0 and b < 0 you are in third quadrant and you either want the range to be 180-270 or -180 to -90 range and you add or subtract 180 degrees to get in the desired range.
if a >= 0 and b < 0 you are in fourth quadrant and you either want the range to be 270-360 or -90 to 0 range and you should add or subtract 180 degrees to get in that range.
The point is that tan(angle) = tan(angle + 180) so you can add and subtract 180 degrees to get the same tangent but depending on which quadrant the point a,b is in that might be the wrong angle. For example if both a and b are negative you do b / a and negative divided by negative gives a positive result which returns an angle in the first quadrant in the 0-90 range but your a and b isn’t there but in the exact opposite angle in the third quadrant.
