Turns out that was half of the problem. One of the messages found in the Pizzaplex explains that while renovating Roxy Raceway, they were making repairs and filling concrete foundations, only for the concrete to crack over and over again, despite their best efforts; in other words, they were trying to fill a never-ending sinkhole, but the Blob was burrowing around, causing the sinkhole to grow exponentially, thus possibly leading to this. They also traced a power draw coming from under the Raceway and found an elevator shaft that leads to the original Pizzeria, with the power draw likely from Burntrap or the M.X.E.S unit used to trap the Mimic.
I really wanted to see what the main atrium looked like probably all crumbled up but still. And I think it’s so sad to me to see “sorry for our mess, we’ll be back soon” but you can tell they gave up on trying to fix the whole place. Leaving the others to rot and still have the orders to go after Gregory. I really like the idea of Cassie putting most of them in peace. I hate to see Monty straight up turning into a wild animal, Chica just begging for her voice box back and still craving for food, Roxy desperately wanting her eyes back and getting back at Gregory.
