This game was really fun. A lot of references to English literature, references to Dystopian literature, themes about perception and memory, and of course the journey to discover your memories that the characters repressed and denied trying to cope.

I'm more referring to the way you always, without fail, manage to embody the feel of the games. The music is only, only half of it. I feel like the song perfectly epitomizes the game and its mechanics. We Happy Few continues to be one of my favorite games. The game may seem unfinished in some places, but I don't mind that much. Many people will attempt to tell you it's "clunky and unfinished" but, those people probably played early versions. Although, as I write this comment, I remember I was playing sandbox mode, and finding a shelter that, if you stood on top of something, the shelter was actually underwater! (This could be a result of picking unprofessional as the word generation type) Anyway, I can't explain why I love the game so much. I don't know if it's the art style, the characters, or what. I loved the DLCs as well.
We Happy Few is amazing. It's such a interesting concept and this game is insane. It's so brutal depressing and sad masked with a thin veil of joy covering up the horrible backstory of wellington wells. I think if they could eek out the game breaking bugs it'd definitely at least take be in my top 15. It's premiss is so unlike anything else out there.

Let me tell you, I’m obsessed. Everything about it is just so amazing. The storylines, acts, characters, designs, everything! I’m actually planning on replaying it again because it’s that good. There’s also 3 DLC’s you could play as well. Arthur, Sally, Ollie, Roger, Nick, and Victoria. You play as those characters. I’m sure if you start playing, you’ll fall in love with the characters. Oh yeah, Gwen is so adorable🥰

Earl McEarl I actually really liked the game! I definitely see where you’re coming from though! It crashed quite a bit ( I played it on console ;-; ) and once I finished the game and the DLC’s I didn’t really have much to do but overall, enjoyed it!
@@dipwy6125 The premise was great! The execution was very lacking in my opinion. My main complaints are: Joy was pretty lackluster. The "Pinata Scene" and the Gearbox music video for "La La La La" made it seem like Joy would change your entire worldview. Instead, it was mostly a filter. I wanted to see a horrid, terrible, sad world off my joy, and lovely rose-colored one with it. Instead, the neon street lights got a bit brighter and the trees looked better. The Pinata Scene and the music video really misled me and I think many other folks. The NPCs look identical with maybe 5 distinct models. There is WAY TOO MUCH BORING WALKING. I don't want to walk 800 meters to each quest objective which takes up to several minutes since you run out of stamina too quickly. PROS: Characters are great. Multiple endings are amazing and some are quite sad. If a AAA studio had handled this, was given a bajillion dollar budget, this would have been an instant classic. As is, it's more of a mediocre "psuedo RPG" which was fun for maybe 2 hours and a chore for the rest. I got through half of Act 2, and watched Yotube videos for the rest, as well as the DLC. I would never have paid full price for this

I definitely agree with what you are saying because it definitely isn’t the perfect game, but to me it’s really special as it helped me get through some tough times! I started to argue with my mom a lot and even though I had played the full game and the DLC’s millions of times and didn’t really have much to do, I would play it over and over again and feel comforted for some reason! It definitely does have many flaws, but all the good aspects really make up for it! Thank you so much for sharing your opinion and I definitely agree with you!

Okay I've gotta say something here. You're all extremely talented. I don't JUST mean the consistently high quality music and editing, although that's certainly a huge part of it! I'm more referring to the way you always, without fail, manage to embody the feel of the games. The music is only, only half of it. Fans of a game get a second level of enjoyment from the songs you make of those games. It's astounding, and then the fact you make them WEEKLY?

Hits so close to home for me. I was on pills for ADHD. They dulled my emotions and made me docile, unwilling to fight. I stopped taking them, and it woke me up from the robotic, dull life I’d lived. I could think clearly and feel emotions normally. I had severe depression and anxiety, but I had to pretend to be okay because it wouldn’t go well for me and I didn’t want to risk it. My life wasn’t happy. My family was abusive, but I smiled through it because what could I do? How could I be happy there?

I feel like the song perfectly epitomizes the game and its mechanics. We Happy Few continues to be one of my favorite games. The game may seem unfinished in some places, but I don't mind that much. Many people will attempt to tell you it's "clunky and unfinished" but, those people probably played early versions. Although, as I write this comment, I remember I was playing sandbox mode, and finding a shelter that, if you stood on top of something, the shelter was actually underwater! (This could be a result of picking unprofessional as the word generation type) Anyway, I can't explain why I love the game so much. I don't know if it's the art style, the characters, or what. I loved the DLCs as well.

We Happy Few is amazing. It's such a interesting concept and this game is insane.
It's so brutal depressing and sad masked with a thin veil of joy covering up the horrible backstory of wellington wells.
I think if they could eek out the game breaking bugs it'd definitely at least take be in my top 15.
It's premiss is so unlike anything else out there.

I’ve finished this game 5 times now in the course of late last year and this year. Let me tell you, I’m obsessed. Everything about it is just so amazing. The storylines, acts, characters, designs, everything! I’m actually planning on replaying it again because it’s that good. There’s also 3 DLC’s you could play as well. Arthur, Sally, Ollie, Roger, Nick, and Victoria. You play as those characters. I’m sure if you start playing, you’ll fall in love with the characters. Oh yeah, Gwen is so adorable🥰

Earl McEarl I actually really liked the game! I definitely see where you’re coming from though! It crashed quite a bit ( I played it on console ;-; ) and once I finished the game and the DLC’s I didn’t really have much to do but overall, enjoyed it!
@@dipwy6125 The premise was great! The execution was very lacking in my opinion. My main complaints are: Joy was pretty lackluster. The "Pinata Scene" and the Gearbox music video for "La La La La" made it seem like Joy would change your entire worldview. Instead, it was mostly a filter. I wanted to see a horrid, terrible, sad world off my joy, and lovely rose-colored one with it. Instead, the neon street lights got a bit brighter and the trees looked better. The Pinata Scene and the music video really misled me and I think many other folks.
The NPCs look identical with maybe 5 distinct models.
There is WAY TOO MUCH BORING WALKING. I don't want to walk 800 meters to each quest objective which takes up to several minutes since you run out of stamina too quickly.
PROS: Characters are great. Multiple endings are amazing and some are quite sad. If a AAA studio had handled this, was given a bajillion dollar budget, this would have been an instant classic. As is, it's more of a mediocre "psuedo RPG" which was fun for maybe 2 hours and a chore for the rest.
I got through half of Act 2, and watched Yotube videos for the rest, as well as the DLC. I would never have paid full price for this

I definitely agree with what you are saying because it definitely isn’t the perfect game, but to me it’s really special as it helped me get through some tough times! I started to argue with my mom a lot and even though I had played the full game and the DLC’s millions of times and didn’t really have much to do, I would play it over and over again and feel comforted for some reason! It definitely does have many flaws, but all the good aspects really make up for it! Thank you so much for sharing your opinion and I definitely agree with you!
