Making a red oak self bow using hand tools. The bow ended up drawing 35lb at 29". I designed the bow specifically to use a big knot as a arrow shelf. I really like the outcome!

Wow this is amazing is it possible I can make a bow like this with out finding a piece of wood that has a hole from a branch (the Cyclopes eye hole)

Glad you like it! Yes it is possible but knothole works better as the grain surrounds it making the whole thing reinforced

Thank you! It requires a bit different aiming for sure and avoids archer paradox. Need to do more tests on this design but I think it will perform as a normal bow.

Every one of these videos I see for these Cyclops Bows are always slow motion and they seem to be very loud. How are they is hunting Bows and how much poundage do get out of them as well as what is thier range for killing a whitetail deer? Thank you for your time.

Bow hunting is not allowed here in Poland so I don't use my bows that way. But as far as I know self bows for whitetail hunting should draw at least 40-45lb.
