Excellent fly, and excellent video/instructions.
Excellent tie. Thanks, William
The dubbing is a custom blend of Matt's, it's a mix of burgundy, gray and brown rabbit fur. There are plenty of prepackaged Isonychia blends to choose from as well.
tightlinevideo I can't find burgundy rabbit dubbing

Hey
Thanks for all these great videos. I've found them very helpful...the best I've seen.
I like the music too. If you ever want some old-time banjo music behind one of your videos, I'd be happy to send you a couple cds.
Great fly.
perfect
Sorry about that, it is called "Zelon." Umpqua Feather Merchants carries it, but Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, MT is the real source (they have an online store). Check out their other materials and videos while you are there, they have really good quality stuff.
Can you do a video on groberts ISO blend
Great video from you guys as always. But I was under the impression that Isonychia nymphs crawl out of the river and hatch on the rocks much like a stonefly. Thoughts?
Exactly what I thought and I've seen with my own eyes they dont emerge in the water they emerge on rocks right on the bank I personally have iso dun patterns cause they do occasionally land on the water when they are flying but most of what I fish is a iso spinner
What kind of dubbing is used? It looks kind of mahogany. Is it a blend that can be purchased or mixed oneself?
What's the difference between this and an x-caddis?
yoursweatersux Nothing !
What color would you say the dubbing is?
what is the tail made of? I'm hearing "z-line" but can't find that anywhere.
