The captions in Sasha's flashbacks are 100% correct. Her village was a bunch of podunk hunters in the woods. They live out in the country, so they have a Japanese country accent. That's why it says stuff like "huntin' " and "a-changing" and "cause more people be a-comin' ", etc. It sounds different cause once she joined the cadets and general civilization, she purposefully hides her accent. She hides it and speaks very formal Japanese even to her friends when you usually only have to towards your higher ups. She only ever lived in the boonies with her family, so she was afraid of "outsider" people in general and wanted to fit in once she joined them.

The reason why they were put in house with no gear, is because they were suspecting that the female titan is in the 104th cadet. they weren't sure exactly that it was Annie yet so it must be one of them. This is happening a lil before Eren's fight with Annie but still on the sameday.

I love this mangaka and how he writes his strong female characters. I love how the weaknesses of the female characters is not physical weakness but mental and social weaknesses. It’s so real and raw and I relate to it on so many levels. This is one of my FAVORITE side character archs. Sasha is such an underrated character!

Don't worry about catching up, the new season comes out with weekly releases and will probably come out in 2 parts with a 6 month break in between so you'll have plenty of time to catch up before the major shit starts going down.

About the titan not immediately going after Sasha, ONLY GUESSING... I think its because the lady was still alive when the little girl was there. Then when Sasha took the girl out, the lady died relieved the daughter escaped. And the Titans only attack living people so then he chased them.

They were no where near the interior. They were still in wall maria up in the mountains away from civilization thats why they have their accents
