That bit at the end (that you said sounded like Jaws) was the introduction to "Take a Bow" which was to be released on their next album 2 years later ... Matt Bellamys songwriting talent is unbelievable, as are the band's musicality ... my all time favourite band
Holy shit that gave me goosebumps like crazy, how have I never put that together! Insane.
You think that was done on purpose? I can't think of any reason, but I really hope so.
@dotexe-kr5cm most likely, they've done it a few times, most notably with their live riff that turned into 'Psycho'
@@theminiatureparent Thank you! Which riff? Can I have a link or at least a pointer?

Quite possibly my favourite Muse song. It literally speaks to all emotions and feelings I've experienced and expresses them for me musically.
Muse' greatest song
It's so underrated!
@@tanakax25I’d say it’s pretty widely regarded as their best song
@@mikevinna2096 I'd argue everything from their early albums are not widely known by many. But they're such a huge band now
@@tanakax25 yeah maybe.. I remember Muse fans once tried getting CE into the top 40. Didn’t quite make it.
@@mikevinna2096 I dated a girl that hated Muse but only knew of their new stuff. I haven't listened to anything new in years but Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, and Absolution were all fucking great. I still love black holes and the resistance but my interest started to fall off there.
Muse are always awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻That drop was fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great request Woollyhattaker 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I can’t believe it’s 22 years since this song was released. Takes me back to the 90s and hearing of songs from the 70s. 😭
Should do the whole gig. Absolutely amazing..
God I miss this era of drama, angst and cool clothes!!!!
I was saying this earlier whilst watching a live performance from 2000.
@@GT.Bugger Times we’ll never get back unfortunately. I love them to bits but as you grow older, the angst can’t be faked and it seems like the clothes get more conservative 🤣🤣
@@natski2403 I feel like they're too serious now to a degree also. But I don't know why, their back catalogue speaks for itself. Perhaps it's just been too long since I've seen them live.
@@GT.Bugger I’ve seen them in March. Was a really great show. Wish they could play older songs but even when they do, it’s just not the same way. Would see them again in a heartbeat though
@@natski2403 I'm seeing them next month 😁
That whole show is brilliant, I personally have a soft spot for sunburn from the same set.
Absolution tour...the one I wish I hadn't missed. Passed me by before I realised I should be seeing them live!
Best Version Ever, Trust Me! 6 String Custom Manson 4:46 brief guitar improv changed a bit during live performances. Sadly it all went downhill a tad from 2006 in where they got more pop and hugely commercial & by 2009 it was over for me. I only listen to 1999 - 2009 if that but saw them 10 times but only 3 times in 13 yrs.
They’re not as good after 2006 but I think sometimes it’s overstated.
Black Holes had some really progressive stuff on it. Listen to take me a bow and tell me that song is poppy.
Resistance they end on a three part symphony.
Not saying they haven’t gone more pop, but it’s not like they’re just a pop band now.
It is a shame though.
I love your reactions! Thank you for sharing them with us!
..It would be amazing if you reacted to Coheed and Cambria - in keeping secrets of silent earth 3 (live at the starland ballroom) 😌 that song still gives me goosebumps
Please next: Muse - Sing for Absolution (Glastonbury 2004)👍
Matt’s microphone has multiple settings for different singing types, he has an amazing mid range but his highs aren’t perfect. The mic has a higher gain setting for his higher notes :)
I think some of the performances from the period sound really cool with the high gain on the mic but I’ve seen some where the vocals don’t benefit from it so it’s slightly hit and miss.
