I've only played the demo and am really excited. These tips seem genuinely useful. Thanks. Sometimes tips videos say "don't ignore the mini map" or "make sure you eat to get buffs" thank you for respecting the audience a bit more than that. 🤣
This all seemed totally useful. I'm pretty early on, mask just broke, so I'm sure I have time to incorporate all this into my playthrough and have some positive effects.
Another great video. Many good ones, like #9: sometimes beneficial to equip a weapon with less basic stats IF it boosts elements you are strong in because it can give you a bigger damage boost. This is the type of thing I often miss in a game, where I am just equipping the highest basic numbers and not realizing the nuances.
Honestly love the combat, reminds me of FF7 Remake. One thing I like to do in both games is when casting any move that has a long startup time, boost strike, or boost attack is to switch to a different lead character immediately after to combo along with the move that you casted, does massive burst damage, is efficient, and looks badass
So you mean that once you initiate such an attack as one character and it's to the point where you don't have to press any more buttons or do anything else to let the move or combo or whatever, actually go off and do what it's supposed to do, that's when you switch to another character while the long animation or cast bar, whatever is happening? Cuz that's genius and one of those things I wish I had thought of myself lmao. The animations are flashy and cool and all, but yeah you could absolutely get in lots more damage or healing or w.e with this method. Thats awesome. I'm not a very bug JRPG player though, so I guess that's something I shouldn't be too upset with myself for not thinking of right away lol. Most of the RPGs I play are western, like I've really been into the God of War series lately. The 2018 one and it's sequel Ragnarok. Before that it was AC Valhalla and AC Odyssey, those kinds of things.
@@Zakhar597 yep, take advantage of the long startups to do other actions with other characters. Jrpg have so many game mechanics and are so different and take a lot to get used to but if you like this game I would recommend final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth, similar battle mechanics but more real time gameplay and encounters
Wow. This was an incredible video with a ton of super helpful info. I hate waiting my time googling every little thing, especially stuff like mechanics and mini games, and every tip in here is genuinely helpful
loooving this game! oddly not too big a fan of the demo, seemed overwhelming, but man, the full game is fantastic. feels like a mash-up of the FFVII remake and DQXI
Fishing tip: Try to notice where the fish is going, that how you'll know if you're which bumper you'll press (left = L1/LB, right = R1/RB), you may also just hold down the "reel in" button while getting your catch.
Holding down doesn't do anything, tapping once very early after every input (left/right, L1/R1/R2) does however help. If you're very safe in the low green you can tap the reel button repeatedly for more reel effect :)
I'm just getting into this game. Got about 5ish hours into it and just "met" the 3rd party member. These tips are gonna be very helpful. Thanks for this!
Always come to your channel before starting my new games to see if you have any tips, and this one is beyond helpful! You always knock it out of the park Alex, keep up the amazing work!
Normally, I hate these "XX Tips" videos for a new game, since most of them are full of: False information, bloated "tips" and things, the game tells you anyway in a big box. But the videos on your channel never disappoint! You surely are a rare case of bringing up actual helpful tips!
First of all, those costumes looks sick. I can't wait to start mashing around and simply losing myself in such gorgeous combat. All these tips will come in handy, thx for all of em. On a somewhat side note, do you plan to make combo montage later on, when you get all the skills to make one juicy vid? Both single character and multi going bananas all around. I think such video would be nice. Cheers
@@BoomstickGaming I'm gonna go ahead and say that such video would be a very good idea indeed. Showcase different bosses with different combos, what's not to like
I've just got into the last town now and i just knew u could target big enemies' weak spots Thanks for your tips, it's helpful, i'll try to juggle my characters as well to try doing more combos
I just reached the realm where the coliseum is. I thought I was hot stuff and was gonna be able to do the Alphen trails solo. What a rude awakening that was. I’ve been button mashing this whole time. These tips really helped. lol.
1 mistake I made (I'm on Area3 right now) is selling weapons, due to not having much Gald. I've only sold maybe 3-5 weapons, will this effect me later on, as I only sold a few of the elemental first weapons...I know its something about upgrading them..? but are the first elemental weapons the ones which get upgrades? I'm hoping I didn't mess up...Thanks for the Tips & plz tell me if I'm fine or should be worried now
Yeeeeess! That's what I said! So many "tips" videos out there, it seems like the video playing is just like, useless background footage or the poster showing off or something. Point being that they don't usually show what they are talking about in the audio section, and it makes no sense to me!! Why make a video at that point? Just post your voice part to a blank screen, because for me at least, the video is super distracting because I'm looking to see if what's going on in the video is what's being described in the audio, because that's another, and easier way for me to learn, is if I can see what's being described
Thank you for teaching us things the game actually doesn't tell you eventually. I've wasted a good amount of time watching "tips the game won't tell you" videos that the game actually does tell you, so first of all I thank you for that lol. Lastly, I want to thank you for actually using the video portion of this post, to coincide with what you're talking about in the audio portion. Again, other videos I saw, the gameplay they were showing was only vaguely, if at all related to what they were taking about, and most never had clean breaks between sections so you could easily tell that what was going on in any part of the video, actually related to what you were saying. I award you +50 internets for this video, my good sir. 😂😂
I'm usually super sceptical about those "Things you need to know"-type of videos, 'cause i don't think you actually need to know EVERYTHING, especially before starting the game yourself. But your tips-montage is pretty great: On point and actually useful
I’ve always been a hard mode player on games and this game kicks my ass!!! My AI buddies take al the damage and I haven’t maxed out arts maybe need to grind some in next open area
@@BoomstickGaming Now that Im further into the game, I would like to ask for some advice; is there a way to give orders to my partners or a kind of good auto set up? I say this because Im fighting the mantis, and although I truly believe I could beat it at its same lvl, I myself avoid its castings and huge hits, but my partners usually get hit at least once. any tips regarding this?
I played the game on moderate and by mid late game I started messing around with different set ups and noticed a huge boost in damage if I used the book of the element I used and then put 4 15% of that element for rinwell. She was destroying everything. Even if the book has better stats I was still doing more dmg with the dedicated book
Thank you again for useful tips. I guess the game doesn't tell such things. Unfortunately I have to wait two more days until the game releases here in Europe.
It does tell you about at least half of these things, there are just so many things to know and do that some details might get lost in it all. Other things are if you ever played an RPG before you would be aware ie: using elemental affinity for more damage, special ability equipment, farming certain items for cash
I still need to test this properly, but as far as i noticed, if you encounter a golden glow enemy and fast travel to a nearest camp after defeating it, you can go back to the same spot and fight it again. Repeat as many times as you want.
hey! You think you could make a video on good custom strategies some time? That would be awesome, since the bosses in this game are kicking my butt way harder than I think they should.
I just started today beat the first boss I'm lv 12 and I always wondered how to switch it said it in the beginning and I totally forgot lolll thank you
