I know this video is very old, but I'm hoping you respond. I'm looking to modify my A&K lever action to function as a sort of Western sniper for some Wild West events my Friends are doing. Do you know if the internal Barrel is able to be swapped out, or if it's not replaceable. Thanks
hey booligan, do you mind further explaining how you did the tap/die for the barrel? I see the links for all of the parts, but what tools/process is necessary to get the barrel threaded, so that the adapter can screw on to it ?
You need an appropriate sized Tap, and you just thread it into the muzzle end of the barrel so it can cut the threads. Search for info on how to use a tap and it’ll give you details.
I wish they sold the stock separately. I want the short barrel of the mares leg, but I want a shoulder stock and can't afford to buy both guns. Why can life ever be simple?
I'm wanting to get into airsoft only using western guns they are what I'm most familiar with and this is the dream trying to get something like this and 2 revolvers to fit my 45 belts
hmmmmmmm pretty dang cool. I know this is an old video but I've kinda been wanted to do a lever action "Sniper" for a while and lever action has just enough cool factor that I would be willing to run a sniper for that reason I was wondering how hard specifically was it to add the picatinny rail section and if it could be done without specialized tools. Also wondering if the fps is above 400 therefore making it worth using as a sniper if you notice this comment and could let me know that would be awsome
Hello there! You did a great job with this modification and I would like to do the same to have an original sniper in my back. I would like to know if you knew which canon and what hop up to choose but also how you made the picatinny rail is aligned with the canon of the replica.
I wonder if they ever fixed the first 1892 or maybe you just got a dud, other reviewers never talked about gad leeks. Even so i wonder if they ever fixed that if it was a problem. Im planning on getting it anyway
@@booliganshootingsports I could see why lol its gorgeous. Do you know where I can get the m1892 stock nowadays? Cant seem to find it anywhere. Thanks alot
Hey, Booligan! I am Your subscriber sine the Dan Wesson 715 review. I have a question: can You do this to the Dan Wesson 715? I want to use it with a tracer unit. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Performance is unchanged since I got rid of the "power up" inner barrel extension. I plan on replacing the entire inner barrel setup down the line though.
Maybe the gas process would be faster if you use a quick detach suppressor. The flashhider by itself might look cool too. Something like this if you don't catch my drift: www.evike.com/products/61695/
This video is giving me ideas
why don´t you use the inner barrel of the old leaking 1892
We are putting on a monthly Cowboy Airsoft event called “The Chronicles of Grizzly Gulch”, come join us!
Man that is absolutly beautiful! I will start a bidding war for that piece of art!
You had it right the first time. Threading is done to the outside diameter. Tapping is done to the inside diameter.

Just ordered all the parts, I’ll have to see what to do about the stock though, I refuse to buy a brand new 1892 just for the stock lol
any idea how can you get the full stock?

If you use 12mmx1mm tap and then use a 12mm cw to 14mm ccw adapter boom baby
Serenity!!! Oh, the gun is cool too.:-)
As a beginner, what is the best way of making the barrel threadable that way you can mount a suppressor?
Insert a threaded barrel adapter. You’ll need to cut threads in the outer barrel itself to insert it.

+SonicViperGaming your best bet is to find one from a boneyard since these constantly broke.
just make one
@@booliganshootingsports I found a real wood 1892 stock on brownells, would that fit on to the mare?
JOSEPH SEED, I HAVE WARRANT ISSUED FOR YOUR ARREST, WITH THE SUSPICION OF KIDNAPPING WITH THE INTENT TO HARM.
What size tap did you use? M13x?
Is there a way to recreate the rifleman rifle ?? Please let me know 🙏
Man I wish I could buy the Mare's Leg and buy the long stock straight from Evike but instead I would have to buy 2 guns which is a shame

You just need a drill and a tap set to mount the rail. And this short model I reviewed shot about 350 FPS.
@@booliganshootingsports thanks for the reply you answered my question :D
I don't remember subscribing to you but oh well your content isnt bad
That's pretty rude.
Hey booligan, I was wondering how accurate these mares legs are with the factory inner. I found one used for fairly cheap

Was wondering if they make a mares leg that shots rifle pellets rather then bbs
did you paint over the orange tip or were you able to remove it and add your own compensator?
I removed it.
What type of inner barrel would you suggest to get
with this gun you could do a western version of Boba Fett
Could the lever from the mares leg work on the full size? I'd like to just swap it.
Yes, I think you can.

Gas leaks were a hugely common problem with the first models. That and broken action pins and levers.
Looks like what you would do Payday 2
Reminds me of my old fallout Las Vegas days.
Would you be willing to sell this gun? I'd be interested.
Already sold it a while ago.

Too bad evike doesn't sell just the 1892 stock separately

Does the gun still shoot at the same fps and does the suppressor make the gun more accurate?

Where can I get a red dot like that? I have a rail mount and I wanna put some use to it
This is the one I run: www.kineticconcealment.com/product-p/rd-01.htm
That's pretty neato
I am aware this video is pretty old, but I was wondering what tap and dye you used to thread the barrel?

It would, but I'm a sucker for that offset pistol caliber can design.
How does that suppressor stay perfectly upright?
+sogerc1 it uses a rotating base with a locking lever.
Thanks for the response, I had to check the images on evike to fully understand what you said :) Do they use a similar system on real supressors too?
+sogerc1 it’s basically a direct copy of the system on a real Osprey suppressor.
Cool!
Looks like a fallout 4 custom gun
spinxtercell Well Fallout 4's Far Harbor dlc does have pretty much this exact gun so you're not wrong.
Uuuuuuuuugly!!!!
SELL ME THIS IF YOU STILL HAVE IT!!!!!!!!
It’s been sold already
What an embarrassment to an iconic gun
