Brands making foundation samples available to purchase is a good thing, IMO, especially for those of us who cannot go to makeup or department stores and look at colours in person and get samples made. The problem I have with the Haus Labs discovery sets is that you don't get to choose which three shades you want to try (and yeah, where's the set for the very light peeps?). Even if they went the Kosas or Lisa Eldridge route, where you can buy sample cards with little sample sachets, that would've been a better way to go about it.

so my mom's father is missing (well, he went missing at age 80 in 1960-she was 20, very old dad, so he's definitely gone) and buying her both of these would crack her up so hard😂😂😂... he was a real 💩 and likely had a quick, accidental end, so it's not horribly tragic (at least to us). I know this sounds bad, but hopefully it makes someone else with a truly crap dad have a chuckle...

My mother's father was a missing person (technically still, but he would be 120) and a real POS abuser & tormenter of my disabled mom. I am seriously tempted to get her both perfumes, our family has a very wicked sense of humor about the whole thing... It probably sounds terrible ...unless you have an abusive nightmare of a male parent in your life ...

I agree with you about $40 for a blush stick being ridiculous but then remembered I paid the same price for the Haus Labs blush. However, in the courtroom of my mind my defense is that I'll hold onto a powder product for longer than a cream product (I'm more likely to ignore the expiration date on powder products).

Why does latte makeup look so damn good? (Prob low contrast for me, at least) I mocked latte makeup, i even left snarky remarks all over, it's not much fun to apply - too quick & easy, which ofc is actually great 75% of the time. I was planning my vacay makeup bag & i get intimidated in the rich part of my state, so i didnt want to look creative, i wanted to look like i cant possibly be the person driving that 03 minivan. 😂 Latte makeup is it, dammit. Btw, the dark neutral af94 eye crayons make it stupid easy to create a gorgeous latte eye, as do the less long lasting ioni chubbies at dollar tree. Ive never been so illogically mad lol...

Every time I see HLP use one of those Chantecaille singles I think "Wow so pretty" but then I see the stock photo packaging and something about it just says it's 2003 and I'm in 4th grade just discovering clip art. And I just can't get past it.
Yes, on top of that if you use the products in person or feel the packaging.... I swear these youtubers are lying because it is no where near worth that price or experience. Especially for me to be looking at a jpeg on packaging!!!! No.

Love your tepid takes! I do love me some mini makeup, especially 100pt perks or gwp minis. Love trying makeup in a small form since I never finish anything 😂.

I love the Fenty blushes! people don't seem to understand product by volume vs external packing lol
3 grams is pretty small for a cream blush! For reference, my Mac and Nudestix blushes are 7 grams, Tower 28 are 4.5
Oh my goodness I love the Yensa bc foundation! It’s like the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream but in better shades. ❤
I absolutely love the look of the Prada eye shadow quads! A head to toe runway fit of Prada is usually A LOOK. This makeup actually makes sense in relation to the clothes. Like maybe the people who developed it were actually paying attention to what makes the fashion house unique, which I think is nice to see from a luxury beauty launch.

I bought the Haus labs sample pack for several reasons: I wanted to try the foundation, I like having little bottles of fuller coverage products so I can adjust my ideal coverage, I needed to know if I actually am the shade I THINK I am, which I am, shade 050 light cool is a good match. I am not going to buy a full size as I don't love the way it wears.
Idk if you know but KVD is putting out a tubing mascara 👀 I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Unfortunately almost all makeup is highly over priced, we continue to purchase. they will continue to charge it. We are the ones in charge, we just need to stop buying until they at least make the price reasonable. That is my rant for what it is worth and probably will not make an impact;) Thank you for what you do and your honest reviews.
The thing that appeals to me about the Natasha Denona mini palette is that it looks like Athr's Rose Quartz... which I already have, so I don't need this one.

Oh jeeeez sol de janeiro. One time i put on their lotion in my room with my door shut and the fragrance gave my mom a migraine downstairs.
I bought it once, applied it to my legs, sat for an hour and then gave in and washed my legs and the pants. I returned it the next day.
I’m excited to have Pat coming to Ulta, because i can spend my points on her products! ☺️
Fenty got rid of drama class, which saddened me, but so many brands have similarly colored blushes like drama class so not too upset. 😊
Tower 28 ($20), Kulfi ($28) and Honest ($20) have purple cream blushes in case anyone wanted to try them!

@euphoria4502 Thank goodness!! I'm so glad I got it when it first dropped! Cause I love that blush! I'm a cool toned girlie, and mauves and purples look good on me. I've been so happy to see that purple getting popular and I was sad when I lost mine and it wasn't available anymore. I just got so much longevity from the Fenty one.

Meh. Hourglass has pretty much lost me forever. They took their sweet time to address their issues. The Tiktok kids can have them. I’m not interested. Haus Labs is hard to shade match for everyone. I had a hard time finding a match but I did eventually. And I love the foundation itself so ultimately it was worth it for me. But the way they describe the tones and undertones is just off and weird.

I think the Melt powder is like the Huda glowish powder. The only person I've seen use it is Theresa is Dead and she liked it so far.
I got my blush stick from Charlotte. Its a tiny NUBB of a product. Why aren't we getting more for $39? Its the size of my thumb nail.
It’s funny you mentioned phyto bronzers early on because right as the vid started I was like “wow Kackie looks like she just came back from vacation she’s so glowy and tan” haha
I’m fair skin and found haus labs foundation not hard to determine my color. It’s actually my favorite foundation I’ve tried in a long time and I’m SO picky when it comes to foundation. I have color 220. I will ALWAYS recommend going into person to test foundations.
I got the Valentino lipstick/blush in Highway To Plum. The color is way outside of my comfort zone, but it's gorgeous on the lips and doesn't feel drying.

I’m done with Chantecaille releases too. Over priced. I love the lip chic but sticking with the regular colors I like so that I can buy again. The eyeshadows are nothing special. I have a deep regret quad I’m thinking of getting rid of.

I realized watching you talk about the Prada foundation shades how lucky I am that I have a light olive complexion. I have to mix every single foundation with Temptu green color shade adjuster so I don’t stress too much about shade undertones. I get a fair or light warm toned foundation and I’m generally good to go as long as it’s not too dark. (Formulation is another matter. I have oily/combo, sensitive, acne prone skin even at 55. 😐I was told I would stop breaking out and be less oily after menopause. It was LIES!) I do love the Haus Labs foundation. I think it’s great!

I really like the Jones Road bronzing gel too. It looks very natural on me and I use the silvery bronzy miracle balm with it and it is a perfect summer face.

Please try Trixie's cream bronzer! I saw her swatch them (shocking, I know): they look like they blend beautifully. And the lightest shade is definitely a more saturated warm tone than were the muted offerings from your most recent 'finger-painting' session.

The d-bronzi drops are a GREAT mix-in for mineral sunscreen and I've yet to find their equal. The d-blooper rose drops are straight-up frosted pink and conspicuously too light even on my fair skin; I'm unsure of the target audience for that one.
I like the look of those new Fenty blush colors (the price never seemed wrong to me, either) and am very curious to see how that Glossier foundation is received.

You can even get cute contact paper involved on top of the magnet sheets if you want it to feel a little more special (I made my Lucky Strikes one metallic gold so it goes with the rest of the case’s interior). I don’t travel with them, but I love them so much!

As far as powder that isn't powder I've heard that the Uoma "water powder" or whatever it's called is like really really wild and unique to the market. I haven't tried it but I'm very interested come winter 😊
