I was wondering if you could do a video about knowing when a basketball play has started or how to initiate a play? I really struggle to understand the flow of the court and tips would be much appreciated thanks!
Just cut to the basket when ur teammate looks stuck, don’t cut when there’s a pick and roll happening or if it looks like ur teammate has an open drive. Basketball is all about spacing sometimes spotting up in the corner is the best thing to do. It’s honestly pretty confusing but it’s all about cutting when it’s available remember that. Especially if ur defender isn’t looking at you look to take advantage of that
To all my young players, what's most important in attacking is to attack an OPEN SPACE...i wouldn't worry so much about the defenders top foot. I appreciate the vid...
Another topic I’m sure there’s a video on but I didn’t t find it was defeating screens. When moving with the person you’re guarding always tuck your shoulder down and away from your blind side down and in words the direction whom you’re defending and lift your leg on your blind side expecting that a blind screen is there waiting for you. This allows you to move most of your body out of the contact zone and gets your leg over top of theirs (even if you don’t see it) and it’s basically a foul called on them every time if a foul is called, and most importantly you can keep up with who you’re guarding with little effort. Most of the time no one could ever have success with screens against me when I played ball.
Thanks, I was searching ways to transfer or be inspired by basketball moves in handball! Sorry if I did write wrong or if you have difficult to understand ( I'm not English speaker), once again thanks!
Daaaaamn bro I've been goin to that side since Monte Ellis said its hard to move your hips and ive been blowing by people with that, but iam looking at this video attacking the bottom not the top foot is better, and as a corner bk u never want to opening the gate for a wide receiver it's an easy path, make sense love this video
You breakdown some good stuff man 👍🏿, I quit playing basketball but ima recommend your channel to some people I know who are trying to play college or pro.
@@CoachFrikki Thanks for your answer, you must live in Germany? Please answer my question, do you think that I can use what you teach on yours vídeos in Handball?
@@carlosbaptista2615 I live in Iceland. There are definitely things here and there you could apply to handball. Moves, footwork, IQ, passing & defense.
That Kevin Porter Jr shake and throwdown was 💥...skills on top of skills (although he did carry with hand under ball or more than half way down the ball 😂 lol).
I like seeing videos like that. Also basketball videos skills, will you have videos with other sports like soccer and other more? This question is curiosity only.
cant wait to apply this in game. i have a question tho, how do you blow by defenders when they're facing you directly, they're not forcing you to one direction?
@@CoachFrikki really good I am practicing almost everyday for 45 mins to an hour and 15 mins and practicing ball handling on walks and stuff but overall well
If you haven't used your dribble, make sure the ball is out of your hand before your pivot foot touches the ground. This is a travel and will get called every single time (unless you're in the NBA).
Each time I attack the top foot the defender steals the ball 😅 Any Tips 😊 Also if the defender tries to force me to my strong hand should I just take it and drive
Trying to stop middle is a good thing, because if your opponent tries to go middle he has every option possible. He can shoot, he can pass either direction and the help defense cannot come to help, because then it's a easy three. If you let your opponent go baseline (not middle) then the help defense can come from the corner (weak side) to help you. And the opponent can't pass where he wants to. I hope it helps.
I can't believe A LOT of people don't recognize that a lot of these players are lifting their pivot off the ground whether jumping or moving toward the basket, before putting the ball on the floor... That's a FU88N travel.. All day. I hate it sooo much. Playing basketball by the rules is difficult and it's even worse when refs don't know the rules.
Come to Christ. He is real and loves you died on a cross to save us from our sins. Through Him we have eternal life with God the Father in Heaven. This is true. Hebrews 9:27 says, “People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” Those without Christ will unfortunately die twice. Death is the judgement for our sin while life is a gift that we get through Christ. To receive eternal enjoyment with God after death accept Christ as Lord and saviour and repent. He wants you to come to Him and is willing to forgive you. Don’t let bad habitats continue to hurt you, evil is separating you from God. Pray to Him sincerely and He will hear you. Seek Him, He loves you. God Bless.
great vid; just wondering so do we attack opposite direction of top foot? i thought u had a video where we should prioritize attacking top foot. when do we not attack top foot? thanks
Sometimes you attack the back foot, sometimes you attack the top foot. Both have their pros and cons and situation is different. In this video we´re faking attacking the top foot into attacking the back foot. Which can be insanely effective like you can see in the clips.

Gotta make a full Avatar basketball video. So many things you can learn from that show, especially lessons from the GOAT uncle himself.

Exactly. Top foot = Front Foot = Foot closer to the ball handler.

Defender jumps right anticipating the middle drive. Many coaches have a no-middle philosophy because it's hard to help on middle penetration.
