This song is so damn underrated... Tragic actually. Such a beautiful, poignant, emotional song. Not just a beautiful song, not just during Christmas but anywhere, anytime.

I didn't know this existed either until i heard Dermot O Leary play it on Saturday. It's a wonderful piece of level headed Christmas music that moves you without the saccharine sentiment that prevails at this time of year. Needs more airplay!

You don’t hear this much on the radio, same old Christmas tunes played over and over. This, whilst not overtly Christmassy is timeless and utterly brilliant. Hairs on your neck standing up good.

It's the 16th. November 2022 - I heard this song on the radio for the first time. How on earth have I missed it all these years? ?! It is fabulous. Even more relevant today - Why isn't it number One???

Couldn't agree more, I heard it for the 1st time in December what a beautiful song, it would be a fitting No1 even now.
Unlike every other Christmas songs, this really gives a sense of unity and joy. It conveys all the Christmas-y feelings and is so much better than all of the manufactured shit out there.

As somebody who spent a Christmas sleeping rough in London this song just completely caught me off guard. Thank god I was lucky enough for it to only be the one. I know people who are still there. Some who aren't anymore.

Tears in my eyes...I heard this song for the very first time last night on Night Tracks radio 3 thanks so Hannah Peel. Utterly mesmerising and astounding. I loved this song when Simon Mayo played it today on 'Drivetime' - it's definitely got a proper Christmas song feel about it, not just from the lyrics. The distant brass band, building in volume, the carol-like sing-a-long sound. Simon was praising the video to high heavens. I like it too :-)

I can't say how much I like this song, because the words don't exist. Not since Jona Lewie has a Christmas single managed to put it's finger of the pulse of the nation so accurately. X Factor winners? Re-releases to combat them? The fact that this will not be the Christmas number one shows just how far our collective musical taste has disappeared down the pipes over the years.

Yes l went to the shoot and if you look at the video, l am the person with the grey hat and black coat next to Tom, pushing the piano. I spoke to Tom whilst walking away from the waterside shoot. He is a gentleman and a very nice person. It was a really great day and one hell of a memory. I am not being bias, but this song should of definitely been No1, but because of the corrupt and commercial crap floating around, this great song had no chance. Anyway, on that note, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY.
