PINIPF26 In the book, if I can remember correctly, they're only 12 or 13. Finding an actor who can portray a lot of emotion at that age is difficult. Dylan O'Brien, despite being 22, looks younger. I think he's a great choice!

I've watched Dylan in this, the underappreciated romcom The First Time, and even in Teen Wolf. Heck he even killed it in The Internship. There are BIG things in his future. He is a legit actor. I'm talking Golden Globe/Oscar type future. Him and Logan Lerman are definitely people to keep an eye on.
To be honest, at first I only went to see it because of Dylan O'brien.. But it actually turned out to be a great movie! You're confussed for most of it, but at the end you will understand everything and it really makes you think! I guarantee the second one will be a lot better. More action for sure. ^_^ The first one is more like the build up to the climax.

Exactly the same mate. I watched this first and few years later watch teen wolf. I felt that I've seen Stiles before but can't remember. Then I read that he appeared in Maze Runner. I thought he one of the supporting character. He actually the PROTAGONIST! His face looks different than I first saw Maze Runner, but after watching the trailer, he is indeed Stiles XD

I was a little sad about the changes but some would have been time consuming. For example, the way Thomas solved the code, would have kind of boring in the movie and a long process. But there is still a code so :)

I read the whole maze runner series a couple years back and fell in love. I'm so excited to see the movie, and the fact that Dylan O'Brien is Thomas couldn't be more perfect. He is such a great actor. And the fact that he's a babe is a nice bonus.

Hot tip: don't read the book before watching the movie, you'll be disappointed cause they're MIGHT be scenes you loved in the book that wasn't in the movie. Read the book after you watch the movie and imagine what gone wrong or how the movie could have went imstead.

to be honest, before I knew about this movie I didn't know anything about the books, Dylan O'Brien, Teen Wolf, and I liked Skins but I wasn't obsessed with Effy and kinda forgot who Kaya Scodelario was until I saw the trailer in the movie theater and thought "This looks so cool. Oh, she's the girl from skins. I have to watch it". And then I ended up watching the movie like 4 or 5 months after I saw the trailer because I was bored and remembered I wanted to watch it. And that's how I got into this unhealthy obsession with the Maze Runner books and movies + I also started watching Teen Wolf and now I'm obsessed with Dylan O'Brien.
Dang it. The grievers are completely wrong looking. And they didn't have a flipping model of the maze in the book.

Actors are really good and it's pretty much the same story Suzanne Collins wrote. About " The Maze Runner", please go see it, not because the books are awesome, but because we don't talk about "barely known child actors" here. Dylan O'Brien is one of the best actors I have ever seen in my life, make you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. I don't know or love Kaya Scodelario that much but she made an incredible Effy in Skins. And Thomas Sangster ? Games of Thrones ? You really need to at least give this movie a chance.

I finished the first book and currently on the second book right now, and this trailer truly captures the horrific atmosphere of the Maze. I have a feeling that this movie will hit it out of the park. The shock factor in this story if baffling. I hope that they genuinely follow the source material.

That's how I felt when I saw The Internship because I was like that's not Stiles! I really didn't like his character in that, but towards the end I was like he's still hot (especially in glasses and a beanie) lol. You should watch his other movie The First Time with Britt Robertson, his current girlfriend. That's a really cute movie. I was kind of hoping that the Nogitsune would survive along with Stiles into season 4 because that would've been crazy to see it continue. Dylan's acting was phenomenal as Void. I bet Jeff and Dylan didn't expect the fangirls to be like OMG, VOID DYLAN IS SO HOT! I'm scared and turned on by him at the same time, because really that's how it was for me and my friends and basically all of tumblr.

For someone like me that hadn't read the books before seeing the movie, I thought the movie was amazing. If it were never a book and someone came up with this exact screenplay then it would have been one of the best movies released in 2014 yet. But because so many of you have read the book, you're comparing the film to the books, therefor making a judgement on the creativity of production. Everyone knows they can't add or put the exact scenes of every book into a movie. Even with the authors permission, it would still be copyright and they obviously don't want to take away the credibility of the book. But, that being said, the movie has made me want to read the books and I'm excited for the rest of the movies to come out in the future :D

Didnt want to watch the movie, cuz there wasnt any HQ videos. But when i finally did, i must say: it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It kept me glued on my chair till the end.

When I was watching the previews for Divergent (Opening night, :D) I got through 11 seconds of the trailer, when Thomas was going up the shaft/elevator thing and freaked out like a nerd, saying "Maze Runner! AAAAHAHHAHAHAAA!" I said that in my mind, not out loud.

This is probably the only movie based on a book that nobody's read before.
Because everyone's criticizing the ending, and if you have read the book, you might figure out that it was exactly the same.
What i love about it is the Maze's design, it is exactly how i created it on my mind while i was reading the book. The CGI are amazing, and the cast is refreshing, because none of the actors (apart from Kaya and Thomas) are worldwide recognised as they were Shailene Woodley and Jennifer Lawrence when Divergent and THG were released.
Can't wait for the second part... it's gonna be really exciting, and i hope people might stop complaining about small things.
