Pete is the absolute worst. He thinks he's the lifeblood of the group, but in reality he's thrown away a massive source of food. He feels he needs to lead the group, but he's the worst survivor out of all of them. He even killed the pig, while trying to prevent the others from killing it. Then he directs all his anger from his failures on the group.
The pig practically gave it self on a plate and they waisted it. Pete is not a survivor.
in real situation, hes killing his friends too.
I don't know that Pete killed the pig, it was planted on th island, and each 5 days or so they got a large amount of protein, I think producers did it.

I've been so excited for this episode with all the previews making it look like Pete had his fingers bitten off. Pete keeping all 10 fingers is almost as big of a letdown as watching that pig sail out to sea.

It brought a delightful sweetness to my heart as that Shark beat his hand for the stupid decision to give the Pig away. The Brain damage Pete does not want to kill and eat a pig but he killed and ate a Shark, hypocrisy.

What a great experience!!! It's funny to me that nobody really looked for any food and then the pig comes along and won't eat it but puts a leash on it so it strangles itself. They were starving because they didn't really try to find anything but yuka and fish. I enjoy watching this series.

When the fire and shelter are sorted (day one) from them on the men hunt CONSTANTLY the women forage for berry’s, yuka etc. get a fkn grip

I've had worse injuries from a pike in a park pond.
Watching this just after eating roast gammon with Yorkshire puddings and gravy. There's no fvcking way he would have stopped me cooking that pork. Not a chance. Even if it meant me moving into my own camp to get away from him... Let the smell of crackling start drifting down the beach and see how many people would have been so sheepish about tucking in. By the time they'd be done they would have been eating the chaps and trotters.
So I would say this last thing, send Pete back in the water as bait lol. Maybe a bigger fish could be caught ha!!

These people never ever learn from the mistakes of past seasons. They continue to repeat them season after season. But sending off the pig was the stupidest and most disrespectful mistake I've ever seen in a survival show! It's disrespectful to the starving people and to the animal. They should honor the life of the pig by making full use of its meat.
I bet if Ray Mears was on this Island things would be way different.

I don't care if they will or have lasted the month. They have already COLLECTIVELY (not just Pete) FAILED Bear Grylls' test and missed the whole point of not just the show but the lesson of survival itself by not eating that staged pig (it wasn't a wild pig). Sorry but there is just no room for delulus or wokes in a true survival setting. This season was a waste of time for viewers and for the participants if I'm being brutally honest.

You know what would've prevented both of Pete's WONDERFUL injuries. If a big black pig walked in to camp over and over. And was basically saying "KILL ME FOR FOOD" Pete is the worst survivor I've EVER SEEN. The others were basically ready to fall over. But 5 month Vegetarian said no to killing the pig. If I was on that island. He would've left the island...TRUTH

It's like they lost the drive to thrive and just aimed to survive. Gotta take away the "we're coming to get you soon" idea from them. Or incentivise them in some way without money.
Maybe give the castaways a puppy to care for at the same time. Or a tiered reward system at the end - "I was on the island and got the top rating and the best shelter award but got the rock of incompetence for putting the net in the fire"

So weird to see the camera operators were basically excluded from the whole plot, always talking about the 7 people on the island, even though they were 9 the whole time.

You won't be catching nothing sitting on the beach talking about what isn't science. The more time you spend actually fishing or setting traps or making weirs, the more fish you'll catch. Your odds go up.
