When it comes to cinematic treasures, there are few more valuable than Indiana Jones. For decades, Harrison Ford’s archaeologist has been the ultimate movie hero: a history buff with a taste for adventure, a vast knowledge of ancient relics, and real human vulnerability. Even the very image of Indiana Jones - fedora on his head, whip stowed on his hip - has become shorthand for old-school, rip-roaring, blockbuster thrills.
In 2023, the greatest action hero of all time will return for even more fortune and glory. Empire can reveal that Indiana Jones 5 finds our hero in 1969, living against the backdrop of the space race.
Starring Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Boyd Holbrook.
The new issue of Empire presents the first dive into the fifth Indiana Jones film - bringing back Ford (and his fedora), but teaming him with a new director in James Mangold, providing him with a fresh batch of allies and enemies, and pitching him into a whole different era of history.
The exclusive first look is also packed with updates from Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, to Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and John Wick 4, Pixar’s Elemental and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, all the must-see releases to mark in your calendar. - Розваги
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 👀
Harrison Ford is the best
What a stupid title!
Or not.....
ah yes the yahtzees in 1969 the often forgotten chapter of history
there’s been updates. the movie begins with a flashback to indy in the forties, at a castle in germany. similar to the last crusade. all the movies start with a previous adventure, and they wanted to do that with this one as well
Mads Mikkelsen as the villain is going to be incredible.
So cool that he was a Bond Villian, Hannibal Lector, and now an Indy villain.
Funny that the de-aged Ford looks more realistic than the old-Ford’s-face-on-stuntman
Indiana Jones and his sidekick, Maryland Sue.
We Love You, Harrison Ford ❤️🤠
I'm still waiting for "Indiana Jones and The Last Roll of Toilet Paper" 😂❤️
Thank God
Indiana Jones is back
now he looks like Howard {old man) from The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
I’m glad he’s back.
Indiana Jones and the Golden Dentures.
As long as he doesnt move it will be great
ford is very fit and bikes for miles and miles all the time he's fitter than most his age and also fitter than some younger people
Really psyched for this movie, though I’m sad that Spielberg isn’t directing it but still glad that he’s producing and John Rhys-Davies is also back
Yeah, well considering that Spielberg DID direct Crystal Skull, and that was awful, I'm fine with giving someone else a shot at it.
@@charlesajones77 I personally thought that was an okay film and pretty fun. Plus, he’s directed all the Indiana Jones movies, so it kinda sets off my OCD when all but one is directed by the same guy
@@charlesajones77 crystal skull Is hated too much, I thought it was great and I grew up with the OGs
@@charlesajones77 Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a good film of course NOT my favorite but it definitely got my approval but I’m seeing that Brad Pitt is in the Casting list and that should definitely be interesting 🤔
If the title actually turns out to be Indiana Jones 5 Dial of Destiny I’d be happy with it tbh
the title was leaked its indiana jones and the dial of destiny
Yeah sounds mystical
Thats dumb
Against the Nasties in the 60s? I suppose the 4th movie made the Champagne soc cry too much.
Harrison Ford is a stud at 80!
GREAT!!!
What is the soundtrack in the background of this video?
If it is the actual soundtrack for Indy 5, I think its awesome!
Kindom of the Crystal Skull: 2.0 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Youre gonna miss the crystal skull after this monstrosity
Back in the 80’s people were critical of both the Indy sequels as well. But kingdom of crystal skull was a let down
@@sstills951 I didn't see it. CJ x
I'm afraid no any new Jones movie wil satisfy enough becayse the first three are so deep in out hearts. Even while I liked part 4.
I didn't much care for the whole alien thing, thought it was totally stupid!!
@@RCCrawlerz209 me neither. And stupid? I don't remember if I thought that.
@@Dewebje to each their own...
Really like all the Indy Films Games and Books . Huge Fan! Infernal Machine is my all time favorite 👍🏻👍🏻🤠
Is this music in the Background part of the Indy 5 Soundtrack? It sounds cool 👍🏻
If Spielberg had been wise, he would have made this part in 1992. Because Indiana Jones was the most fun in the 1930s. Look, he's now fighting Nazis in 1944 and then it jumps to 1969. In my humble opinion, this shouldn't have been done. Ford is too old to play Indy, despite the CGI gag and masks that have been used. But I'll give the film a small chance anyway.
Well well, hello dear Indiana, you looking goood...
I hope the big fight between Indy and Voller is just two old dudes punching each other for 10 minutes. just throwing left hooks on sight.
Inanna Jones 5 qué genial qué genial
Vou assistir no cinema q dia q e a data pra ano q vem 2023?
What is the background music?
The Rolling Stones and Symphathy for the Devil (1969)
@@rolfagten857 your funny 😆
Papy Jones!
Huge Indiana Jones Fan. I am totally excited to this movie. I have been a fan of Indiana Jones since I was kid😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊I can't wait to see the 5th chapter
Same here! Hope they somehow make the games Fate of Atlantis, Infernal Machine & Emperors Tomb canon. That would be so nostalgic for both of us 🤠
Just an Easter egg!
Hope Im still alive to see this
Indy Is Back, damn goosebumps
DIAL OF DESTINY
To be perfectly honest, I think it's time to recast Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford is 80. I'm afraid the movie will be more everyone else acting around him, than Indy himself doing much.
Don't be silly. He will have done as much physical stuff as he could and his younger stuntman will have done the more difficult stunts. It's a movie ffs
I hope they do a better job last 1 was below par
I shudder seeing these new pictures. Just please stop. I love Harrison Ford, but this is just sad. I would love to know how much Disney had to pay him to do this. I am perfectly content having the first three to watch.
@TombSpiriT BM, makes sense. Plane fuel isn’t cheap haha.
Another franchise ruined, guaranteed.
i heard they shot 6 different endings and each one failed horribly .... this may be insanely bad
I'm afraid of it too!
So basically we have another Kindom of the Crystal Skull.
Let's hope not.
We all know it will not reach the heights of the original trilogy but if it can overwrite the mistakes that Crystal Skull brought to the franchise, it’s a success as far as I’m concerned.
When Sean cannery played his dad he was 56 a bumbling old man, now Harrison Ford is 80 he's playing the same lead character. It's going to take me out of the immersion if he does anything remotely athletic. He's just too fucking old now. It should just get rebooted and bring a fresh face to the character. Imagine if they kept casting Michael Keaton in every batman movie that's been made, it would be fucking ridiculous.
not the new trailer
I forgive Germany. NOW LETS FOCUS ON THE CORPORATIONS AND WHOS RUNNING THEM. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE.
My money's on this being average. The only good thing in its favour is James Mangold, an writer/director with a very impressive filmography.
Ford looked comically old in Indy IV fifteen odd years ago. Kathleen Kennedy, ugh the SW:ST, and the British woman I don't know much about aside from she fleshed out the last Bond movie with allegedly comic elements. But it's a very poor Bond film. On par with the never to be rewatched QoS.
You're insane, son. This will easily be more memorable than every Bond film made after Connery. If it's goes beyond expectations, it'll be better than every cookie cutter Bond film ever made. The Indiana Jones trilogy havr easily accomplished this for more than 30 years. Crystal Skull was a misstep, but seeing all this really shows that they're back to what made the series perfect. Get your head of your ass, and accept it. Once the trailer hits, your thumbs will bleed from the constant apologies you'll be typing out to everyone.
Its gonna be anti male white hero the message garbage
I agree with everything but No Time To Die on the same level as QoS??? Please relax
To be fair, Kathleen Kennedy has actually been a frequent collaborator of Steve Spielberg and George Lucas going back to the first Indiana Jones flick and she’s been a producer/executive producer on films such as Back To The Future, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List and has received eight nominations for the Academy Award for Best Picture, which is the third greatest number of nominations behind Steven Spielberg and Scott Rudi
Supposedly the test audiences hated it
Ohio Jones
Is this real?!
Will someone please hire a caretaker for Harrison Ford? He runs into dangerous situations in both his acting roles and his personal life. I’m not emotionally prepared to hear a breaking news story about Harrison Ford passing away via bodily injury circumstances that he could easily have chosen to avoid.
Great ,really 🤣. Kennedy is killing indy and replacing him with that bad actress!
Screw this garbage! Bring on #1932 ! That's what is worth waiting for! ✋️
indiana jones and the 6 failed endings lol
Rumor has it this is a time travel movie. Indi visits his former selves, and in the end gets the young Indiana killed. Fleabag grabs the hat and becomes the new female Indiana Jones (Franchise Woke-booted!). If that ends up being true (and it sure looks like it) this franchise will have officially jumped the shark. Disney REALLY knows how to ruin franchises.
Indiana Jones and the Lost Bottle of Geritol.
They are scarred to show us it as guess what its the message garbage
jesus christ don’t bother deaging him come on i swear kathleen kennedy or whoever she is letting run amok with this technology has never heard the term “suspension of disbelief”. better call saul is the most well received series of its generation, and it’s a prequel that uses zero de aging. the audience just pretends. the actors just act. it is such a simple thing.
A youtuber who is really good at deepfakes was hired to do the de aging it will be the best ever seen in a movie , 100 percent
@@Abugamers2254 who the hell cares? de aging is the absolute stupidest technology of the modern era.
Harrison Ford moves like an 80 year old man. No way to de-age that with CG, and no way anyone can believe him playing a younger version of Indy.
It's not like 58 yo Bob Odenkirk pretending to be 48 years old. Better Call Saul is not an action adventure series, heaving with stunts and fight scenes. I'm not disagreeing with you that deaging is bad, I'm just saying that a new Indy movie at all is a stupid endeavor.
He is too old. Yes. Too old to begin the training.
It'll be woke! I'd rather have Chris Pratt be the new Indy!!
Last Crusade was it for me. Harrison looks so pitiful now. Test runs for this film were bad, This is going to be a disaster.Kathleen Kennedy should just leave already.
Those test runs are just rumors. There are literally no credible sources with that. Even the Director denied it
@@RussellGreerOfficial We'll find out won't we? Kathleen Kennedy is a terrible producer and constantly has fights with directors. Why do you think episode 8 and Solo had fallouts? Because she's just terrible. She should have been fired years ago but her woke influencing is just too powerful.
@@cgamer9089 Kathleen Kennedy also produced films like E.T, she’s actually been a frequent Spielberg collaborator since Raiders of the Lost Ark and has since produced most of his films
@@samuelbarber6177There are many instances when one loses connection with their past self. Kathleen is no exception, in fact she's the primary example of that. There are so many sources saying that she's going to get fired. I hope it's true.
@cgamer not necessarily that she's being fired, more of a retirement. She's done a lot of good, but definitely massive screw up with the star wars sequels. The shows were a success though. Shes definitely about to retire for sure. Also for the record I hated the sequels lol. This Indy film will probably be hella good. Too many people just want to see religious artifacts only in Indy films.
He is back, but this is his last one, and then they will put a woman to play Indiana. And they are going to ruin it like they ruined many other movies starring men.
Pls stop
Get ready for the wokeness
I've noticed that every other movie (at least for me) is good and then the others in between are... not so good.
Raiders of the lost Ark: Good.
Temple of Doom: Not good.
The last Crusade: Epic!
Crystal Skull: Bad.
Indiana Jones 5: Good?
Of course, that's just my opinion on it.
New York? Not good. Ain't no ancient culture or religion there.
Ruining Indiana Jones even more than the Crystal skull.
Shia LaBeouf ruined the previous film for me, he's character was fucking annoying!!
"Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull" (2008) I think it's a complete train wreck courtesy of Georg Lucas and his Martians.
I enjoyed Crystal Skull, it was fun!
Shia LaBeouf had his Sam Witwicky attitude which is always a fun time 😃
