This is kind of crazy that the game has detail like this. The only other game that I have seen where you can imprison people is dayz but here its only temporary. Hopefully they add more of an incentive to have a high bounty. What do you guys think of the feature have you seen a player bounty, been captured or captured another player yet?
Captured a grinder that was following a friend, honestly the guy was an ass like any grinder but a fair one.
Pretty much went like a duel with him ending up in jail.

Bandit role will fit perfectly high risk high reward in being a bad guy. Maybe increase the timer for 5 secs per dollar. Like 20 cents a second. But at least for now there is nothing much to do for your 20 dollar bounty. Rockstar needs to add it where you can only pay the bounty every hour for the post office. It makes players try not get too crazy and be realistic. Like come on now you killed 100 lawmen and they don’t mind you spending 10 dollars for their lives.

A few days ago i reach a $10 bounty, a message appeared saying that other players could captured me.
i have a 1 cent bounty that i cant pay off, hopefully rockstar doesnt just make it no restrictions, itd be a waste of time for us all lmao

I agree I think it should be 10$ because once you start getting the npcs chasing you everyone always goes ahead and pays the bounty.

I want to see public executions in free roam where the player gets executed if they have a high bounty.But the player will respawn normally with the bounty cleared after that.And also we could make it so that random players or your posse could shoot the noose and stop the execution, making the player escape.

@@golden1_1dragon12 it should be if you're in defensive mode and fishing or hunting and you get a rolling block to the head, you should be able to press charges and give the griefer an immediate $20 bounty. That should light the player up like a Christmas tree so everyone around knows he has a bounty. Then whoever kills them first gets half the bounty, or if they capture them and jail them the get the full bounty. Then us decent players could rally together and fuck the dude up. If they server hop, the bounty goes with them, so they're never off the hook, and if they exit the game it's there waiting when they log back on.

They should change the threshold or even rework this feature. Having charges pressed 3 times or something like that (without the ability to reset like bounties) would be nice.
And the reward is laughable. This mechanic should be a way to combat griefers while making people have fun doing it, not this high difficulty no reward bullshit

This is awesome! This game keeps surprising me since the update, I didn’t even know this existed! One thing I will say though is I hope they focus a little more on beefing up the game for those who want to play the outlaw. Hopefully next there will be 3 “outlaw jobs” like horse thief, bank robber, highway man, etc...I dunno. As of now there isn’t too much incentive to be an outlaw other than griefing. It would be awesome if there were more non-griefing outlaw jobs to do.

I don't see any reason for having a high bounty, if they brought out train robberies or heists that made you wanted with a high paying incentive, so you have almost like an "outlaw" role, I could see this actually being a really cool game mechanic, I'm picturing bounty hunting posses verses robber posses, that would be awesome

Listen nobody gets the exact 20 dollars bounty. If people go on killing spree it will be 100 and such.(in rdr2 it will be 900 never went on a killing spree on rdo)

The highest bounty I ever got was $0.40 simply because the game charged me with horse theft when I mounted my own horse

I would like to see more outlaw stuff in the game like robbing trains or stage coaches and with big payouts but big bounties if the law see you.
If my bounty even gets to like 2$ I immediately reset it. You'd have to dedicate like an entire day to killing NPCs to get to 20$ bounty.
To not waste your time they get a reward as it’s a new challenge and you can let normal NPC’s take you in so you can get the buckle, xp and pay the bounty off for free for waiting few seconds

It would be great if Rockstar changed the one second in jail per dollar to one minute, that way you could have your friends or other players break you out and keep your bounty.

it really isn’t, the majority of people don’t have a bounty higher than 10 dollars. Especially since you only have to pay half of your bounty. All I want to do is bounty hunt players but practically everyone has less than a 20 dollar bounty.
I feel rockstar will do an outlaw career path so it counters the bounty hunter so you can continue down either path of good or bad
So much for this being to help with griefing like Rockstar claimed. This actually means nothing for the game
I'd like the opportunity for a high noon style gun fight if you come up against a bounty hunter under certain circumstances. If the outlaw wins, bounty mission is over, if he loses, he stays out of jail but loses the bounty amount.
I really hope if Rockstar gives us a Police Update in GTA Online we can having something like this of course instead of bounty hunters you will become a police officer and you can actually arrest players.

Also if Player doesnt want to surrender you can knockout them in fist fight and it should still count by game like he was alive
You can also knock the bounty out when the bounty is tied up, they won't respawn and they wont be able to break free

Now we just need an outlaw branch along with some other ways for players to interact aside from pvp. I think a player run town would be interesting, or at least establishing a trading settlement would be neat. Players could buy things from AI shops or other actual players. Outlaws should be able to set up camps wherever
This would be hard to do though, it would be so easy for them to break out, like they could easily cut the lasso when you tackle them

Thanks for the vid. It’s just a shame that the person who has the bounty really doesn’t suffer at all. They should have to pay like a $200 bribe or spend a full game day in jail. This is not going to stop trolls at all.
You can also surrender to NPC bounty hunters and get away free, just lock onto them and surrender and they'll take you to jail.

Before the update Im pretty sure it took the full bounty out of your account for surrendering to npcs. Did the update change this? Or am I remembering wrong? I only did it once, and its been a while. I thought you lost your money upon release.

Rolled into valentine with my brother to turn in 6 bounty targets and noticed a $22.50 player bounty and saw a player in the bar so I figured it was him he went in the front while I went around back and caught him off guard from the side as he watched the stairs for my brother. We had him back to the jail in less than a minute from starting it felt pretty great as our first player bounty.
Pretty sure he logged off never saw him pop back out of the jail and couldn't find him on the player list anymore. I'm pretty sure he had built up the bounty in valentine there was alot of dead lawmen outside the bar when we showed up.
I was always wondering what would happen. A friend said you lose all your money so at first I was deathly terrified of getting caught. But at least now I know he’s a fuckin idiot. Thank you for relieving some of my anxiety about this. Liked and long time sub.
This is one of the reasons why I enjoy Rdr2 more than gta.

@Gerry Buckets Tons of griefers in red dead? That's a bit weird, I've only seen a couple of them. But that's my experience, and I do agree with you on gta. It just that the community kinda ruins it, and don't get me started with the mrk2 oppressor. The nerf definitely helps make it much more balanced tho.
System is great but numbers are way off, bounty needs to be 5 and up for npc bounty hunters and 7.50 and up for players. Also the would be surviving bounty needs to be paid well upon surviving the bounty hunt in order to incentivize getting the bounty in first place, Also rewards for bounty hunter need to be way better. Already payout of tier 3 bounty
What happens if you get the invite and it doesn't work? I tried three times and still can't capture the player.

So what I’m hearing is.. you get get huge money if you and your friend trade bounties. One person gets big bounty, the other turns them in and gets the money and vise versa

Here's a idea: If you survive the Bounty hunter timer as the outlaw, your bounty is doubled, but you get paid the amount your bounty is. And you also gain 0.4 gold depending on the size.

YungPhilly- // someone on reddit posted the times of the public events for each role in Pacific Standard Time and the bounty hunter events are really rewarding when you complete them without failing.
Also I’m at a really low rank so I don’t know everything there is to know about bounty hunter. There might be a method that gets you more Role XP consistently instead of having to wait 2 hours in between each bounty hunter free roam event
YungPhilly- wait out the clock to :30 seconds & do 6 man bounties with a posse, if you get all 6 alive I think you get like 2k bounty XP which is a whole lvl
Just do bounties.
Find a friend who can do tier 3
($$$) bounties, then go around every board to get those, do the single person bounties fast, if you have a wagon and multiple people in a bounty, either wait until 2:00 or :30 remaining, or take them to a further away towns/citys sheriff office to burn some time. Always use reinforced lasso if using horseback, if one is escaping and you can't catch up, either shoot them in the leg/foot with a weaker weapon then tackle and hogtie them, or kill them if they are really close to escaping, so long as you turn them in you'll at least get some xp.
Also if you have a weak lasso but a good horse, drag them until the turn unconscious, you may drag them a long distance afterwards if needed, just beware of any pursuer because if that body gets trampled...
Also don't let any escaped bounty steal another npc's horse, that npc will kill your bounty at all cost.
This takes me back to when I got captured in ark lmao.
it would be nice if you got someting like outlaw ranks, like a ranking board of players with highest bounties, and if you survive you get more bounty, just to make an incentive, like an ironman mode of sorts... just an idea to make the survival part of the bounty more fun.
They should make camps for outlaws, and a posse perk that allows you to rob stage coaches and trains or ransom townsfolk
I think they should make it 10 seconds per dollar. That way it's actually a little more significant. Because right now it's ironically like a get out of jail free card for bounty costs
Anyone else doing the collector maps and have a message saying “this map can’t be used right now. Try again later.”?
I just started collector, but you need to only open a collector map when you are planning to do the collection in that session. When you open them up, then open another, it "cancels" the first one. Probably the same for opening one then leaving the session.
Basically, you have to do them one at a time or the game gets confused and locks out the other map. Not sure why. They should just be available anytime they are in your inventory

This update really made the game fun again, it got boring after a week before the update came out, but the game is fun as fuck now.

The Kingsta I’d say big wagon, the hunting wagon is a bit pointless if you set up camp in a place with lots of animals around (like the heartlands) then you can just drag the animals back, the hunting wagon is only good for longer distance stuff or places where animals are further from the camp and you can manage to bring down more then 2 before they run off
The problem with this is that theres not really an incentive to go after bounties either. 20 dollars is absolutely, utterly, nothing. The effort required to hunt down a player and take them to jail is just not worth it in any way shape or form unless their bounty is like 100 or higher
They should make it so players can get executed by the law in free roam by hanging if they have a very big bounty.
Should i buy red dead?
Kind of surprised they are utilizing the player bounty hunter system like this. I would be hoping it would be utilized better for the bullying troll type of players who get their kicks on tormenting lower ranks or harassing other players. Don't make it to where anyone can place a bounty on anyone but if they are being way over aggressive within a certain time frame then have there be an all points bulletin to be turned in- no safe camp space, no paying off the bounty and if they leave for another lobby, their bounty carries over and the time of them being wanted goes for as long as a day in game which is at least 24-30 minutes.
