Dude, you have a thrower used for stairs and walkways. I have the battery operated snow Joe 48 volt blower. YOu are doing it the hard way. Thats 13 inches. My blower is 22 inches and there is enough juice to do m 40 foot driveway.
Yep. We only get snow like this once or twice a year if at all. As I said in the videos, I bought the cheapest one because of lack of frequent use. Sort of like why someone would buy them cheapest version of tool at Harbor Freight. Thanks a lot for your comment and I might get one like yours if our snow frequency increases in the future.
Yeah I think Nova is right. This an electric shovel, good to do a sidewalk or a patio. But for a parking like that, you better have a real snowblower ... corded or cord less.
I bought one last year and it's super fun to use. I just bought the cordless version as I found the corded to be a bit annoying (occasionally coming unplugged and always having to make sure the cord is out of the way). Like others have said, I don't think it's ideal for a large driveway. I use mine on sidewalks and walkways and it's great. Enjoyed the video though, thanks!
We bought an Earthwise Electric similar to your Snow Joe it's corded and I love it. It's doesn't take up a lot of room. I love it versus the manual shovel but it does what it's supposed to do, Our driveway is part of the alley and nobody shovels the alley but I do my section. Then work on the other sidewalks around my apartment. Just like vacuuming the carpet on the inside. Do buy one is what I would say.
Just bought a corded electric snow shovel. Due for some snow tonight. I already decided a plan to save my back by using it across the width of the driveway, then instead of lifting it and pulling it back, will turn it and blow back to the other side of the driveway. Will see how it goes.
Always found these to be gimmicky and inefficient. Nice for stairs and small walkways, I guess. I own one now only because one needing repair found its way into my hands. Stripped the wire back and installed a cord cap, good as new. Good video 👍
I so wish I could afford one of these.. Just moved in town & found I'm responsible for the sidewalk area in front of my house or I'll get fined.. Well, I'm disabled & unable to shovel but that doesn't matter. I still have to do it & an electric blower or shovel would be so helpful! Wish health ins covered stuff like this
Great video I'm looking for a much smaller area. From what I could tell you have too big of an area for a shovel you need a blower. That handle was too high it adjusts lower for the back saving design to work. I love their shovel that has on it too. I hate the metal blade on it though. Thanks for the info brotha.
This one is too small for my driveway, but luckily we only get snow like this once or twice a year. At least it doesn't take up too much room in my shed. :)
That blower is supposed to be for 2 inches or less. Save your money and just use your leaf blower for the light fluffy stuff. That blower isn’t going to move the really wet stuff. How do I know? I bought one. You are welcome.
I'd been thinking about getting one of these electric snow 'shovels'. I'm 72 and have no balance. Hand shoveling is out of the question for me and neighborhood kids these days don't seem inclined to hustle for snow shoveling business. 🙄 I live in a condo in the southeast, not much snow here either-usually. I have a long sidewalk and a relatively short asphalt driveway. But with other living units in close proximity, is there a way to adjust how far (or near) the blower will throw the snow?
This one is very cheap and nothing special. Because there is no speed or direction adjustment, I had to keep an eye out for where it was throwing the snow.
I’m thinking about purchasing it to shovel my parking spot. There are other cars on both sides of mine. I’m concerned about getting snow on their spots. I couldn’t too much tell from the video if the blown snow goes straight forward….. Great review though 👏🏼💜
It was fairly dry for us here in the Pacific NW. We had another couple inches after posting the video. Much wetter snow. Worked ok but, snow stuck to the outside top making it a couple pounds heavier. Happy Gardening!
I'm across the river in SE PA so I can comment on that. I just tried to use one of these (a battery-powered one) on 4". The snow wasn't even as wet and heavy as usual but the thing had a lot of trouble with it; the motor just couldn't deal with it. After struggling for 10 or 15 minutes I gave up and got out the bigger machine. I just bought it so I'm still within the return period and I'm leaning toward sending it back.
Looks like it would be perfect for a ramp and a back deck. For an actual driveway you would need something more heavy-duty. This looks lightweight and easy to maneuver in snow country.
It seems fine for the smaller areas most persons would purchase for specifically - decks, patios, sidewalks....but this guy clearly needs a large snowblower for that large of a clearing area. I'm most interested in knowing about these smaller areas and the benefits of electric shovel, and less stress on back, legs, heart etc....which is why I would want to purchase. I can never seem to find if worth it. But common sense seems it would be of course.
Fortunately, my area doesn't get snow like this very often. For under $100, the thrower kept my back and shoulders from hurting too bad, even though I should have bought a bigger one.
You can't buy much for $100.00 these days. I think you made a decent purchase. I'm still waiting for the corded SJ623E 18"-15amp to arrive from Amazon - $158.72. Hell, if it compares to your 10amp I'll be happy. PEACE
Before this, I just shoveled the one or two snowfalls that we get. If I ever become a big time UA-camr, I might invest in a tractor with a plow attachment. Happy Gardening!
That is a pretty big driveway. But I can see where he is coming from. I have an old gas powered snow blower used once or twice a year at most. Left bad gas in it last year, and now having carburetor issues. I can totally see the appeal with electric. Same with weed eater.
problem is electric snowblower are heavy and hard to manoeuver around need 4 or 5 times pass on the same spot to get the snow out ... gasoline are actually better but much more expensive , electric is not as powerful as we actually think .
That's true. For my size of driveway, this one is a little too small. I only got the cheap one because we only get on or two snow storms that give me enough to shovel every year. It was better than using a regular shovel. :)
Correct. Luckily we only get snow like this once a year. Better than using a regular shovel and easier to stow than a large gas powered. Happy Gardening!
Anything electric for throwing or blowing snow on larger areas is a gimmick that's only good in theory, but not in actual practice. People who buy these gadgets will usually get fed up real quick, then buy a real gas snowblower to get the job done fast & proper.

I thought about the cordless one but I do have too much driveway, I would have to recharge too many times and the snow would pile up. 😀
Do you think I could use this in a 25 ft driveway?
Great review, thanks. I picked up a corded one as well mostly to clean off the deck.
Glad I could help!
The best review in youtube for snow joe 323e. Thank you sir.
Just tried to be honest and let you decide. Happy Gardening!

Your right, it is just like using a vacuum. Happy gardening!

Sounds great! Hopefully you don't get too much snow!
I have 3 of these units. They work GREAT. You just cant abuse them
I do like it. So much better than trying to start a gas engine in the cold damp winter.
Great and Honest Review! Lots of snow at my place too!
Thanks and stay warm! Happy Gardening!
Nice review! Stay safe and warm! ⛄️
Thanks, you too!
Thanks for the REVIEW!
My pleasure! I know a lot of people are probably looking to buy one after this week.
Always found these to be gimmicky and inefficient. Nice for stairs and small walkways, I guess. I own one now only because one needing repair found its way into my hands. Stripped the wire back and installed a cord cap, good as new.
Good video 👍
Thank you!
I used to live in the PNW. That snow is wet. I now live on Colorado. The snow here is light and dry. That tool is all I need.
Glad I could help.😀
I so wish I could afford one of these..

Nice review! Thanks
Thanks for watching! Happy Gardening!
Bought one used for $40, should be perfect for my thirty foot long driveway.
Way easier than shoveling manually.
Good deal!

Nice video, it’s seems to be ok.. I need a snow blower really bad..
Thanks 👍It is cheap enough.
Is the scraper plastic and how did it hold up?
Just the one nick shown. Have used for 4 snow storms without any other nicks. Just took some practice.

It is cheap and only throws the snow forward. The more expensive ones have directional throwers. Hope that helped.
thanks
No problem!
what extension cord is best used in cold weather with this shovel ? 100 ft ........ 12 or 14 gauge ? thx....cheers from Canada
A 14 gauge cord is the bare minimum for 100ft 11-13 amps. A 12 gauge 100 footer will keep the cord from warming up. Happy Shoveling!
Looks like a dry snow, I wonder how it will do in wet snow like we see here in NJ?
It was fairly dry for us here in the Pacific NW. We had another couple inches after posting the video. Much wetter snow. Worked ok but, snow stuck to the outside top making it a couple pounds heavier. Happy Gardening!

The electric snow shovels are mainly intended for small surfaces like decks and stairs. For more serious work you will need a snow blower.
Thank you.
Looks like it would be perfect for a ramp and a back deck. For an actual driveway you would need something more heavy-duty. This looks lightweight and easy to maneuver in snow country.
Definitely had my whole body sore. Felt like I did a full workout in the gym
For me, it was better than using a regular shovel on my long driveway. :)
Could of paid a snow service to plow it 1 time for the price of it! Good deal cause it pays for itself after 1 time..thx for posti ng!
Unfortunately we don't have any snow service in Western Washington. County docent even get all the roads plowed until 3-4 days after the snow stops.

Because I this I byu it with electric no battery it's butter and long time do work 🇺🇸🇱🇧

Hopefully you only get the snow that looks really nice and not the storms that shut everything down.
it throws the snow almost straight up! Hilarious. They didn't design the "chute" very well.
It works for the couple times a year we actually get snow.
Then this will be perfect for my deck. It has mostly closed see-through panels so I was hoping it shoots the snow up into the air!
Driveway that size is not at all meant for a thrower
Before this, I just shoveled the one or two snowfalls that we get. If I ever become a big time UA-camr, I might invest in a tractor with a plow attachment. Happy Gardening!
@@CMooreStarts just get alil battery powered 1stage snow blower
That is a pretty big driveway. But I can see where he is coming from. I have an old gas powered snow blower used once or twice a year at most. Left bad gas in it last year, and now having carburetor issues. I can totally see the appeal with electric. Same with weed eater.
Yea I'm pretty sure these are ment for decks/patios etc

If we got more than one or two heavy snowfalls during a year I would have probably gone for a gas powered one.
I mean not for nothing, but with the size of your driveway, that’s not what that was particularly designed to do. I mean Mayb for walkway or porch
That's true. For my size of driveway, this one is a little too small. I only got the cheap one because we only get on or two snow storms that give me enough to shovel every year. It was better than using a regular shovel. :)
That isn't for such a large driveway, and certainly not for a compressed gravel driveway.
Correct. Luckily we only get snow like this once a year. Better than using a regular shovel and easier to stow than a large gas powered. Happy Gardening!
This is not for driveways to be fair, this is more for sidewalks and small areas that a regular snow blower cannot get through.
Very true. The problem for me is we only get one to two small snow events a year. It worked as designed. Happy Gardening!
Anything electric for throwing or blowing snow on larger areas is a gimmick that's only good in theory, but not in actual practice. People who buy these gadgets will usually get fed up real quick, then buy a real gas snowblower to get the job done fast & proper.
Luckily we only get that type of snow once or twice a year. ❄🌨⛄ Otherwise, I would have bought a gas one.
When you're done throw it in the trash will ya! 👎
I am just glad I bought it off season and it was cheaper. Happy Gardening!
