The beginning of the "clanky metal grating" voiceline is also used when you are damaged by a hot floor like those seen in the Fire Tower.

Yes you are right this quote was from Thief 2 Metal Age! I guess they didn't get a chance to use this line in the first game
Who ever made the decision to cut 90% of the tutorial text, really saved the immersion. Why would Garret need to tell himself about obivous stuff to himself. Yeah, maybe I did learn more from mistakes because of it, but at least I felt I earned a cool line from Garret after furthering in game.

12:55 This is either a left-over from Thief: The Metal Age, since they developed Thief: Gold after that one or it was already present in Thief: The Dark Project and was simply put to good use in T:MA - either way, that line can be heard at the very start of the "Framed"-mission, if you steal bottles from the pub in front of the police station.
"could you possible be any more helpfull" is meant for the guy in front of the well in the first level, since hes drunk, mostly alone, has the key for the well, and has his back turned to the well door and the direction you came from

I think that 7:30 "Hmm, few too many to get by here" was used in the game, when you look into direction of guards near Lord Bafford's Manor entrance.
Some people with the game don't get that line, like me. Same goes with many other lines.

7:37 "Here we go" is also used when you pick up Bafford's scepter. He'll always say it, but it'll get cut off on normal difficulty due to the mission ending right then and there since getting out onto the streets isn't an objective.
Many more of the "unused" quotes actually do appear in the game. Such as, positively located: "oh yeah...he's gone" (drunk guard at the well right in the beginning); "What sort of a lunatic...these things as pets" (burricks in Ramirezes basement); "time to...raid some tombs" (guess where); "...any more hammers" (Hammer factory in Cragscleft); "this is not good"- not that sure but Strange Bedfellows? Wonder though whether there are any more differences in this respect between standard TDP and Thief Gold apart from the obvious "one down, one to go" (in TDP there are two talismans each in The Lost City and Undercover, so logically you wont hear this one (I am sure as the Builder its from the former in TDP) in Thief Gold.
Can confirm. "One down, one to go" is from the Lost City. I played the original Dark Project for many years.

That one is in Mission 14 Strange Bedfellows. Garrett says it when you hit an insect-beast (the mantis things) and you trigger the objective of killing all insect-beasts in the level.
I bet he was pissed enough to finally start killing shit.

As much as I love Stephen Russell's delivery I'm glad they took out a lot of the expository lines to maximize immersion, and it's more satisfying when Garrett does have something to say. So hard to pick a favorite line, I love grabbing the wine bottle in Thief 2 Framed: "Ahhh, my favorite year." 🥰
Mix this with an A.I. voice cloning software and presto, you got infinite Garrett lines with the content you wish (for fan missions)

Hey everyone! Here’s an update on the new videos. I’ve been working on the Hammerite video that should be coming out soon. After I’ll be working on the Servants, Mages Thieves guild and Opera singers and then making videos for Thief 2 and 3. If anyone is interested in the in-game lines such as Guards attacking, I could make those as well. I also had an idea to make a video about the books and scrolls in Thief if there is any interest?

Sounds like a horrible ASMR readings. The game itself is fun (though zombies and supernatural stuff isnt what i would call stealth game) think its mainly fun when you sneak around, knocking out guards trying to not get detected by clever means
