Proud of Britain, British values, British workmanship and the men and women of the British Armed Forces who continue to place themselves in danger to give me the protections I enjoy.
So emotional! I'm sat here blubbering now! Fantastic end shot of Southport pier through the bomb doors. So sad we won't see this magnificent aircraft in the skies again.
Fantastic; this is how '558 will be remembered. After October, it will be time for the old lady to rest. She, and her crew - air and ground - will be deserving of our pride and thanks for keeping her going for as long as she was.
When will we see the likes again? Magnificent, inspiring, beautiful machine. I've been fortunate to see her fly and proud to be able to support her when asked. I feel sorry for those who will be denied this sight in future.
Just can't stop watching this fantastic video, brings a tear to the eye, so proud to be british. Well done to all concerned, wish it was on dvd, thanks
Thank you for sharing this video, very moving. We will all miss you XH558 in our English Skies! It has been one remarkable tour for 2015. Ever since I saw XH558 for the first time at Lowestoft Air Festival back in 2009, the back of my hairs stood up when she went for a rapid climb; whilst roaring into the English Skies. The power from those four Rolls-Royce Olympus Engines are just out of this world. I want to say a big well done to all involved in the Vulcan To the Sky Trust, from the Supporters who run the VTTS trade stands at Air Shows to the Groundcrew who had helped to maintain her to pure perfection and last but not least the Pilots who display such an Iconic Aircraft! Without all this support, XH558 couldn't have got off the ground. XH558 is really "The Spirit of Great Britain"
Utterly outstanding,,, can you imagine being at the controls of the magnificent Vulcan as the Red Arrows guide you in to one of your last displays, in this case Southport , and i was there filming it from the show. You can almost take the scene in, in the cockpits, blasting "Land Of Hope And Glory", wow made my day....
I saw the Vulcan once, in Brasil, 1973 when I was 7 years old. Unforgetable. Sadly I have no money to go to UK and see it flying again one last time. Thanks for the video and keep the irons up ! Valter Prieto Jr.
Brilliant !! My daughter, Partner and children were on the beach at Formby watching the fly-past ....what a view they had .... and a fantastic photo as a great memory !
+john doe The Vulcan is the keeper of peace (proven thus far) through the threat of what would happen if anyone threatened this nation. Pacifists all have one thing in common - the always find themselves someone else's victim. Peace through strength and mutually assured destruction.
I live in a £350k house, Have a beautiful wife, 2 nice cars and a motorbike, We have 2 foreign holidays a year, I'm retiring at 50. Far from a sad life. Instead of watching Jeremy Kyle everyday, get off the settee and go find a job. You'll feel a much better person working than taking benefit money.
Socialism., pacifists and bankruptcy go hand in hand. This country is feeding the whole world and that still ain't enough? How about the whole world look after themselves and my taxes get spent on me and mine for a change?
john doe So in one sentence you say Iv'e just discovered money and the other sentence you say I've was born into money? Any more bases you want to cover? Either way this video makes me proud to be British. Get over it:-)
Made me cry say here thinking about what she means to me and my family and my Grandad who I was with when I first saw her in 92 I thing is a terrible loss to see her Grounded but I am very aware how lucky we are to have seen her fly at all. Thanks VTTS, now get XL426 back in the air :)
XH558 will be sadly missed, but "don't cry because its over, smile because it happened" The Majestic Lady XH558 has one final flight at the Yorkshire Airshow 26-09-2015 GO SEE HER.
Am getting really choked up watching as I was there @ Southport Airshow to see this a few weeks ago n my last ever chance to see the mighty Vulcan fly n hear that howl n roar of those engines. Was incredible to see her fly with the wonderful Red Arrows n am SO gonna miss her! :(
A beautifully conceived video of a wonderful yet sad event. Yes, those of us who've been priviledged to see 558 these recent past years will be sad but it is a fact that the achievement of design FI consigns the best of aircraft to their hangars. I congratulate the whole team for their achievements and wish you well with the next, educational phase of 558's achievements.
So Amazing and so proud..Great filming and insight too...She will be so missed from flight display but not forgotten by so many..Thank you for sharing:)xx
Brilliant filming, editing and flying. Seeing the arrows pull ahead and leave her brought the tears on. thought I'd seen her for the last time, but.... I've just seen the route. :) 11th October is going to come round far too soon
well thank you...I am a blubbering mess....my fave British tune and all my fave aircraft in one shot. amazing footage. I have been bawling for weeks, cannot now believe that it is all over. Fantastic sequence of events.
outstanding guys!!!! my hats off to you all. last time I saw her was riding my bike along the a303 a couple of summers ago during august and saw her fly over heading west. was such a beautiful sight to see such an eligant aircraft that I nearly road into the hedge at 60mph. haha. I'll miss seeing that beauty in our skies.
I love the huge tailback of cars parked at the roadside from 3:48 to 3:56 and have you noticed and that NOT ONE back seat in any of The Red Arrows is empty? The Vulcan Effect!!!
HOW COME 4 PEOPLE DISLIKE THIS? A GREAT VIDEO OF 2 OF THE BEST MILITARY AIRCRAFT AND THEIR GREAT PILOTS. MANY THANKS FOR UPLOADING THIS AS THE HAWK MK T1A THE RED ARROWS AND THE AVRO VULCAN XH558 ARE 2 OF MY FAVE JETS AND THE MUSIC REMINDS ME OF THE LAST NIGHT AT THE PROMS AND IT MAKES ME FEEL PROUD TO BE BRITISH.
Brilliant! Thank you XH558 and the person who produced this video. Btw, what is the feature at 6:04? It appears like WW2 era criss cross airstrips on the beach. But that's wet sand.
The governments of this country have frittered away the expertise and manufacturing capacity and so apart from the BAC Hawks there is nothing British built in service anymore. The people of this country are rightly proud of this splendid aircraft and especially of the team who have kept her flying tthis last few years.
this sounds daft but if i won euro millions i'd get the "old Girl " flying and find the engineers to keep her there shame on all our governments to treat her so bad after the cold war
What a disappointment this video is. The cockpit and scenery aren't as spectacular as the plane, so it's too bad we didn't see more of it and less of them. NOBODY's ADD is so bad they couldn't sit through the pass with the Arrows without the MTV editing.
I'm actually getting choked up watching this. I'm going to miss the old girl.
No word of a lie but this video made me cry I feel so proud to be British and I will truly miss XH558 she is just beautiful
From an era when Great Britain really was Great !!! My chest was swelling with pride and a tear in my eye watching this !!!
Proud of Britain, British values, British workmanship and the men and women of the British Armed Forces who continue to place themselves in danger to give me the protections I enjoy.
+george385 Well said.....because if you're lucky enough to be born British, you've already won the lottery.....
So emotional! I'm sat here blubbering now! Fantastic end shot of Southport pier through the bomb doors. So sad we won't see this magnificent aircraft in the skies again.
Brilliant guys. Absolute pinnacle of British aviation and engineering.

quite honestly one off the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
This is the first time I have approved of music to an aviation video, it was very moving and spot on.
THREE CHEERS FOR THE VULCAN!

Excellent ! Proud to be British.
Just can't stop watching this fantastic video, brings a tear to the eye, so proud to be british. Well done to all concerned, wish it was on dvd, thanks

+ian hall same amazing
Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!
Can you make a copy of this video - without the music please?
love the video,Could the same video to the thunderbirds theme?
3rd to comment ! Fantastic!
great video, does anyone know how to shut them commentators up.
chaeck out the shadow at 2:15
Each of those hawks was carrying a passenger...lucky sods
+Jenny Taylor
Those "lucky sods" are the ground crew, they get PAID to sit in the back!!!
+Jules Hathaway Wrong, they are next years new pilots. Ground crew flights are limited to transitional flights between venues.
+g7usl wrong I follow the 'blues' on twitter and it was them in the back seats
A sad sight... If Britain was really ever 'great' it certainly isn't now...
Deal with it? Who the deuce cares.
No problem.
4 Argentines dislike this video
Is the big one a VW?
Stiff upper lip got a bit wobbly...
Are we good or f***ing what!!!
Rule Britannia
Anyone else's hairs stand up on the back of their neck?
+Go Pie-eater Stand up? They jumped off and danced.
+Go Pie-eater Yes indead and a tear in the eye:-(
What a brilliant video and ideal music, one of my favorite pieces:-)
Well Done.
If Carlsberg did airshows :) :(

MIGs are better....
What's this RAF obsession with shitty music? Ruins the video.
