These are the American films that hinted at what would become the New Hollywood that started in 1967.
Criterion's curated selections always impress, but this has to be my favorite selection so far.
The World's Greatest Sinner - a film included in this lineup - should've been in this trailer. It's the closest thing we got to a visual adaptation of a Jack Chick comic and is totally bonkers. Glad to see it in its restored print on the channel!
Love Point Blank (1967). Lee Marvin at his hard-boiled best. Perfect neo-noir.
60s cinema is the peak of cinema. Everywhere around the world directors went totally ballistic and made stupefying movies at that era. You cannot go wrong in the 60s movies.
70s is the peak
@@randywhite3947 that's for hollywood.
@@mahzunyuzlu535 The rest of the world as well
Shock Corridor is a masterpiece and Samuel Fuller is supremely underrated
hell yeah. i love samuel fuller.
"Seconds"! What a movie. And so underrated.
Brilliant movie, loved it so much. Rock Hudson is perfection.
Highly recommend Pretty Poison - Perkins is perhaps a bit typecast, but he and Tuesday Weld have great chemistry
Classic movies 😊
