- On the night of 12/26, New Jersey Transit's newest heritage unit made its official revenue debut. GP40PH-2B # 4208 now bears the classic light blue Conrail scheme with the "can opener" logo, as well as a Leslie RS3L. Having been released during NJT's Family Day (a private event for employees only), it has been a long time coming. 4208 was tacked onto 4908 to lead train # 67 to Port Jervis, until it ran into issues. A long while later, the issues were semi resolved and the train was underway. Enjoy : ]
It's so cool to see a conrail heritage unit with an actual conrail horn.
Yea Boi the Leslie RS3L Horn is back
Glad to see 4208 lead for the first time seince becoming the conrail HU. Great documentation of the first revenue run! That RS3L sounfs great
So happy it has a special horn.
That Conrail locomotive is So Cool! The horn of it is real cool! In regards to the sound.
Nice to see a Conrail heritage unit with a matching horn. My personal favorite horn for Conrail is the Leslie RS5T but nonetheless, this unit looks and sounds great. Definitely a home run.
Wow glad to see the Conrail Hertigage Unit in service.
Im so happy to see conrail back on the line again
That horn is 👌
Nice. They even got the horn right.
Great video well done!
And the award for heritage unit of the year goes to..
Super!!! Heritage units are terrific!
i used to live in sloatsburg!!! wish i could see 4208 😂😭
Fantastic catch and video!
Wow impressive indeed 😊
Hey, i love the sound of the Diesel Horn on Conrail unit #4208,0:23
Nice work mate thanks for sharing a😊😊
In case anyone was wondering, this train was going to Port Jervis
According to an employee of NJT, he said 4208 began smoking oddly, presumably because it was towing 4908 and the set on its own. Once 4208 was detached from the front and moved to the rear, the issue went away.
Fantastic!!
4208 is a NJT GP40X. Nice to see the loco as a CR heritage unit.
It’s a GP40PH-2B, not a GP40X
@@yeahman70Mandated Passenger Variant™
@yeahman70 ,Ok, thanks for the correction.
NJT #4207 is in service. I hope it's horn doesn't get stolen by a thief though
#4208's Horn Is Op!!!
It would have looked better without the white sills, at least it does not have the word "quality" added.
Why in front of the 3C though? Were they too lazy to detach the F40PH?
It had some issues like it said in the description
Very pretty
Not an M7
@@amtrak706 It’s blue with a Leslie. Hudson line run when?????
M-7’s only run on actual Metro-North east of Hudson territory, not west of Hudson service that is run by NJTransit under contract.
