You have all the information in the forum: www.losviajeros.com/foros.php... ✈️
In a short distance we can go from the beach to heritage cities. climb snow-covered mountains and enter the fascinating desert. It is a country of contrasts if there are any.
How to get to Morocco
The two main ways to get to Morocco are by plane and ferry.
Morocco has very good connectivity with Spain, numerous airports have direct flights, not only to Casablanca, but also secondary airports in the country.
The country's main airport is Casablanca, which often acts as a hub to receive international flights; Marrakech, Tangier and Fez are also important.
As for ferries, people usually arrive mainly through Ceuta and Tangier, more rarely through Al Hoceima and Melilla.
The port of departure from the peninsula is usually Algeciras.
Visas and passport
Spanish tourists do not need anything more than a passport valid for more than six months to enter the country. You can stay up to 90 days in a single stay, without the need for a visa.
If we enter with our own car, they will give us a receipt that must be presented at customs to take the car out again. Be careful, don't lose it.
Currency and SIM card exchange
In Morocco the currency is the dirham. The exchange rate is quite stable over the years: In 2024 it is about 11 dirham per euro.
Card payment is usually only accepted in higher-end hotels and restaurants.
Money can be obtained at ATMs located in most major cities and tourist sites.
Exchange houses are usually very widespread and hotels also usually change currency, although the exchange rate is usually worse than in exchange houses and banks.
SIM card with data and calls for mobile
The best operator option is Marroc Telecom, the national operating company.
Getting a SIM card is easy, there are stores everywhere.
Don't even think about using the roaming of a Spanish operator because it will cost you a lot.
The haggling
In Moroccan culture, haggling is common, even among them, but let's not go overboard and screw up, there are also fixed prices.
To haggle you always have to be friendly and smile. Haggling in Morocco is an art.
Health
There are no mandatory vaccines to travel to Morocco. Covid restrictions are no longer in force. Private medical insurance that includes repatriation is advisable. Remember that the European health card is not valid in Morocco.
Security in Morocco
Morocco is a relatively safe country. There are usually no violent robberies because, among other things, they are punished very harshly. That does not mean that we have to be cautious, especially in big cities.
On the main routes there are usually controls at the entrance and exit of key locations.
Roads in Morocco
Morocco has an extensive road network, but the state of maintenance and quality of the roads varies greatly from one area to another. The national roads usually link all the main tourist destinations and are usually a road in good condition.
The highways are paid but the price is ridiculous, it is not worth using alternative roads if there is a highway.
Roads and tracks in the Atlas can be closed by snow in winter or by rain in spring.
There are also numerous dirt tracks that cross both the atlas and the desert and that delight off-road lovers.
There are usually numerous police checkpoints and radars, both fixed and mobile, on the roads.
Morocco Accommodations
Accommodation in Morocco is of a wide spectrum where we find very very luxurious and expensive things to very humble places.

As saalamu aleikum
No me atrae .
