Great to hear some classical music in your channel, the dynamic contrasts of it are of great help testing gear, aside from being of great emotional content.
Stunning speakers, unbelievable amps, a fabulous sound impossible to appreciate on my iPad. But for a complete system costing over 800k, it’s only in the ‘I can dream’ category for most of us long-suffering audiophiles
Hope you find the CH Precision room. Glad you've gotten to listen to systems playing complex music for a change, with full range, high dynamic sound. The multitude of textures, tonal colors and dynamic shadings are far more than you listen to on your home system. Also love that vinyl is on display and being played. I'm guessing about $150K for the Ultra 7's?
Jay, great post. And glad to see some tone controls on the rear of the Von Swhweikert speakers. Amazingly envolping sound even on my computer speakers. But one production suggestion: Slow down on panning the camera--too hard to follow without a headache.
Hello Jay, Manny here, it was nice to greet you today at FL Audio Fest. Keep up the superb job you’re doing for all your followers. BTY, have you ever had the chance to listen to the Holo May DAC or the PS Audio BHK Signature preamp. Be safe.
Thanks Jay, I think you are the only one will bring live broadcast to an audio show, I felt liked I am there. It seems the Von speaker has the ability to fill a big room. Von used MDF as the cabinet materials, do you feel you really need Wilson or Magico or Rockport- metal or x or f materials to dampened the speakers. Could u please see if you can touch the speaker while the music is playing to see if you can feel the vibration.
The speaker cabinets are complex including a layer of crushed stone, resin material, damping material etc that together measures more inert than aluminum and x material designs, you can see less cabinet distortion on oscilloscope with VSA design. I own VSA speakers and even in the loudest music your hand on cabinet feels no vibration
Thanks Jay. Was me or did it seem like you were somewhat disinterested in seeing or listening to that gear? I know your video clip doesn’t show everything, but I do hope you had a chance to sit down, find a sweet spot, and listen to different selections of music for say 30 minutes or so. I’d love to get your opinion of what you heard - good, bad or indifferent. In any case, thank you VERY MUCH for swinging by that room, and taking a look and listen. I look forward to seeing more clips of your adventures. Again, thank you!
@@johnnygohard315 Yeah, hah! I love Von Schweikert speakers. Unfortunately, I can't responsibly afford the Ultra 5-7-9-11 speakers, nor the newer-ish VR-55 speakers, so this leaves me with the previous generation of speakers. In my current rig I'm running VR-4 SR Mk III and Focal Mezzo Utopias. I tell ya, the VSAs are just all immersive, atmospheric, and emotion evoking speakers. I run several amps with them... my fave is the Lamm ML-1.1 tube amps, and that is followed very closely by my Esoteric A-02, and then my custom built Sonic Frontiers Power 3s running Tung Sol KT-120s with some Telefunken 6922 signal tubes is just glorious. The Lamm's REALLY make those VSAs sing in a way that a non-dipole speaker would have a hard time replicating, although the Focal Mezzo Utopias I have as a 2nd pair of speakers also have that wonderful refined, atmospheric, ultra fast, and that lit from within sound I enjoy so very much. Maybe one day when I win the lottery, I'll have a pair of VSA Ultra 11s, and these crazy VAC 452 tube amps, and a whole suite of those crazy Esoteric front end components.
Seemed like the source was coming from the turntable - wouldn't have minded a closer look at - but I still very much appreciated the tour around the speakers, cables and the rest of the VAC offerings - so far, one of the better rooms - thanks!
This is Greg Roberts of Volti Audio I listened to this system twice over the weekend. It's a good hi-fi system. I couldn't help but remember way back in my younger years when I was buying vintage gear off ebay and in local classifieds, and how many times I enjoyed the music from those systems in much the same way as this system.
1st price in clasical music reproduction from utube....i have never heard this before....oh my god...tell us more about your experience...thank you a lot....
Why do they have these huge power cords going into a outlet box that has what looks like ordinary black 14ga wire going to it? Are those huge power cords needed.
I’ve been watching some Jay videos and I’m beginning to notice a theme…omission! Jay either does not have the ability to describe music reproduction effectively or he chooses not to mention the most important information that anyone would need to decide on a particular piece of audio gear…How It sounds!!
"What orchestra song is that" - UA-cam answered that, see the video description. Jay recorded enough of the music for UA-cam to recognize it, though I don't think the algorithm got the actual performance correct.

Smearing…. You realize that microphone was never centered directly BETWEEN the Ultra 7 speakers, and not positioned in the designated seating area where proper listening occurs. The entire time, all recording was done at severe off axis recording angles where speaker projection is the least effective.
Jay, this is pointless, you can not possibly point a mic at a hifi and expect us to hear anything - we need you to tell us what you hear - these recordings are terrible and utterly useless - you must know this?
Love those ULTRA 7’s! ❤️❤️❤️
Very rare to listen this quality of reproduction with classic music, and when it happens it's really magnificent!

Excelent sound...love Classical - Tchaikowsky Nutcracker

Great coverage Jay. Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks SIR PHENOMENAL SOUND.

Serious rig and those speakers sound pretty amazing in that Huge ass room!
Excellent sound, first time i'm thrilled from music played in youtube
Beautiful equipment
...wow, I got the chills even from UA-cam and my tiny earphones...
Another AWESOME display and demo 🥰👌.

I’m curious to hear your opinion on this room Jay. Sounds spectacular through my headphones.
Wow that's a beautiful system
Incredible sound

Wow - Beautiful.
That is some smooth sounding strings!
Like the sound of that setup, really nice.

Will be very interesting to hear your thoughts on that rom afterwards.
Got to love the Nutcracker!

One of the better sounding rooms at the show, for sure. But, no, you cannot tell that over UA-cam!

Sounds good here, I bet sounds exceptional there.
This is Greg Roberts of Volti Audio

Purty Cool Man!!
looks like a flip flop , Birkenstock sandal and khaki shorts convention !
Warm weather in Florida…

Over my iPhone this is overly bright, how did it sound in person?
Does michigan have something like this?
What db level do they normally play the songs at in these shows?
What song is this?
I love how the price is always hidden, can't be found on the manufacturers websites. $150k amp. Pure insanity.
What orchestra song is that I've heard of many times I don't know the name of it anybody out there let me know
"What orchestra song is that" - UA-cam answered that, see the video description. Jay recorded enough of the music for UA-cam to recognize it, though I don't think the algorithm got the actual performance correct.
..no comments er what you heard? Kinda strange..
The white cables cost more than most systems!
Don't put too close to the side wall and front wall. That the trick.
Instead Of FOCAL, but Vonschweikert!
Why does anyone buy those v.S’s. apart from big discounts. Not because of looks and reputation…not because of sound …maybe because of a lot of chassis

Now that sounds really nice! There's a tad of smearing in the lower midrange but overall pretty good!
Smearing…. You realize that microphone was never centered directly BETWEEN the Ultra 7 speakers, and not positioned in the designated seating area where proper listening occurs. ..ha ha..you’re a funny fellow 😎😂
..a tad of smearing in the lower midrange eh?…smh..LOL😅
Maybe I came in at the wrong song, but I was not impressed at the least.
Jay, this is pointless, you can not possibly point a mic at a hifi and expect us to hear anything - we need you to tell us what you hear - these recordings are terrible and utterly useless - you must know this?
YOU COULD’NT GIVE ME THAT SYSTEM.
..I don’t think VSA has any plans to do so, so you’re safe
