The armourer is mostly to blame but Alec had a say in hiring her, he had the whole crew telling him the film wasn't safe but he carried on, and he personally had bad gun safety etiquette.
Do you have a news article about the staff walking out for gun safety issues or other proof? Also blanks have crinkled ends or does this depend on the weapon used? Revolver so crimped cases may make it look wrong...

Basic gun safety dictates that you always treat a firearm as though it is loaded. To never point a firearm at someone unless it's to be used in self defense. Fact of the matter is everything he did that day flies in the face of basic firearm safety.

@@chipzz86no, blanks look nothing like live ammo, that’s why they have “dummy” rounds (ammo with no powder load in the cartridge). The test for is it live ammo or “dummy” is to shake the rounds.
@@joermnyc in movie props the do for a reason. 8 years of making movie props is my experience. there are hole dillde and fake primers are placed to make the round look real but on set it is understood that no live ammo is brought to set. this is the amours job aswell as on set producers and prop master.
