Usually when there's 2 songs it's a double A-side single! So for the Queen one, it was Bohemian Rhapsody w/ Days of Our Lives because it was released just after Freddie Mercury died of complications due to AIDS.
If two songs are paired up together (like January 1992), it's because they were from a double A-side single.
Bwitched are Irish
There are a few moments in that where I feel I must apologize and explain. Cultural television events took over musical taste on more than one occasion. The most relatable to you would probably be the "football's coming home" phenomenon when the World Cup was on. Mr. Blobby... "Unchained Melody"... They had reasons beyond music that got them there. Mostly TV charity influences that, like sci-fi worms buried into the brain, make us unite somehow.
Yes, Mr Blobby and Robson and Jerome are embarrassing anomalies of the UK market for which most of us Britons have to apologise to the world! The Teletubbies too.
I refuse to apologise for the "Three Lions" song though, because that was fantastic! For me, it's the best football-related song ever made - better than the New Order "World In Motion" single which also featured. I know some debate which was better, but they were both actually decent pop songs in their own right, IMO, with catchy melodies and choruses. Certainly far better than a lot of the bland R&B and boy/girl band stuff that came later towards the end of the 90s and into the 2000s!
Maybe react to the most popular song each month of the 50's, 60's and 70's too.
9:44 The song was timeless before the singer went to jail
💯
The Joker is a 70's song and was a big hit in the 70's. Also being the most played song in january 1974 in the US.
In the video it shows Bryan Adams song was the most popular for 4 months in 91, impressive
wasnt it 16 weeks at number 1 or something?
Yes, it still retains the record for longest continuous run at Number One in the UK. And the Wet Wet Wet single is second at 15 weeks. Both records still stand after more than 30 years!
Where's the 70's each month in europe. It's the best list so far. Although a lot of young people don't know who knows know.
genie in a bottle must have just missed it
Blue - Eiffel 65 was the biggest selling single that month it topped the charts end Sep and 2 weeks in October. Same month when Genie In A Bottle hit No.1 in October.
