    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you will not find more thorough and complete campsite reviews like this anywhere. And the drone footage is spectacular!

    Jenni, this is my first time watching one of your camp site reviews. Holy Smokes! You have taken reviews to a whole new level & certainly blow any other camp site reviews away by a long shot. Your unbiased detail is right up my alley.
    Sending my best to you, David and the 4 legged family members!

    I’m a “local “ in PDX & have camped in the area numerous times. As A Scout leader took boys into the Lake X-Country skiing for winter camping. Never knew this spot existed . I’ll have to RV up their in early Fall when the crowds are gone. THANK YOU !

    Wow you really helped me out! .. I was looking for a spot to camp for a couple of days so i came on youtube and typed in Camping near Mt Hood. I was only 5 miles away from that GPS Location and remember seeing the sign for Trillium Lake. It was noisy at night but it was free and i got well needed sleep.... Thank You!

    I have a suggestion about your titles. Maybe you could put the city and state first. It makes it easier to find a camp site if your looking for one in a certain place or state. And...since you and David are now full timers, and trying to cover most if not all states, I was hoping you'd find and tell us about more then one BLM site in each state. I know this is a bit of a tall order to ask, so I'll understand if it not possible or if only some is. Thanks, and thanks for making these really great informative video's.

    Looks like a nice spot. I was wondering what was your original source for finding this spot? I know you are trying to keep the campground reviews under a certain number of minutes but it would be great if you could spend a few seconds in each review saying how you initially found out about the location. Learning new ways on finding sites is extremely helpful. Thanks.

    Could you offer suggestions for successful boondocking for those starting out with a travel trailer? There are different considerations than a small class C or van, owing to the turning radius. How do you plan for that? Thanks!

    I have so many questions, how do you handle mail, license renewal, renewing the plates on your vehicles (my notices come by mail). I have decided to take to this lifestyle as soon as the lease is up on the house I am renting. If you have covered these things in another video please direct me to it so you don't have to rehash it all here. Thanks. PS I grew up camping with my grandparents every summer, all summer and only went home just before school started. It only stopped when he got to his late seventies.

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  6 років тому

      We actually have all our mail sent to David's parents house and they open it, take pictures of it, and send anything to us that's important. So Indiana is our permanent address. But you can be a part of something called a mail forwarding service. They are all over the country so you'll want to do your research

    You blow me away at how great you are at this! I would imagine a professional company would need to consult with you on how to do what you two do so well. And the relevant information you provide is impressive! One small question I have that i always ask myself when I see a sci-fi is “Where do they poop”? can you dig a hole if you’re tent camping? Or like our camper, it only has an 8 gallon black tank, so we would opt to digging a hole if permitted if there is no vault toilet. Sorry don’t want to be gross. Thanks

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  6 років тому

      You will have to check with the forest service on this particular campground but we're pretty sure others just dug holes and then covered it

    Love you guys.. but boy are you wrong about this site... if you are in a large 5th wheel this is a very risky site for you to camp at.. First the grade getting down into the area is pretty steep.. manageable but steep.. second if the area is full, or like us you miss the turn off to get into the airstrip.. well.. you are stuck.. just stuck, stuck hard.. bound up in ways you cant imagine.. took us well over an hour to get out of the bind we were in after missing the turnoff to go left into the airstrip area.... its not impossible.. but its risky imo.. too risky if you care about your RV..

    Looks like a great site.
    I was watching several videos from another UA-camr (here is the latest - ua-cam.com/video/g_NijQjAo4Q/v-deo.html - seek to 6:00) where they use campendium and other apps to find free camp sites. Upon arriving in the area roads are closed and there is no turn around. He is in a RoadTrek so after n turns he is able to get out but for a trailer this could be a real problem. Like you I have a very short trailer, just under 23' for me, but when you add in the truck at over 19' there is no way I could turn around in the spot. How do you guys avoid such problematic sites?
    Several years ago I flew into Oakland, CA and drove to Tahoe. From there I tried to drive to Yosemite via the Tioga Pass and after driving a couple hours I discovered CA shuts down roads - sometimes for months at a time - but I think the CA department of transportation has alerts on the closings. Kind of wierd for an East Coast guy. I drove back to Tahoe and fortunatley the road reopened the next day. I was visiting in October. Maybe there is a master index of closed roads on the Internet.
