    The thing about the “hearing your own voice in the other room” one is that the vibrations traveling up through our bones mean we all hear our voices differently than they sound to others, so most of us probably wouldn’t recognize a mimicked sound as our own voice. But, on some level, that fact makes this even scarier. … It means the monster is reading your thoughts.

    • @Grim_sights
      @Grim_sights 11 місяців тому +125

      or, in my opinion as something worse, is that the monster is smart enough to consider the way someone’s voice could be perceived differently.That scares me more because, whom a monster reading your thoughts is scary, the idea of a monster that can not only mimic your voice but also have the critical thinking to manipulate it to better trick you is downright menacing

    12:32 not good supernatural advice, but good sleep advice. If you look into a dark mirror for too long, especially if you’re tired, you’ll start to experience minor visual hallucinations that make your reflection’s face not look like you. There’s nothing actually there, but it’s a scary effect and probably will make it harder to sleep

    • @lobodesade6780
      @lobodesade6780 4 місяці тому

      That's not supernatural, and them hallucinations in the mirror can work when you're fully alert, if you look at your reflection too long it will shift and even look demonic at points. It's not supernatural our brains do it for a reason but I'm too dumb to remember the reason so yea, but definitely not supernatural.

    This is what makes your videos so different. Other UA-cam channels that explore scary content always have weird music, or the creator is like, "This video was uploaded to the dark web, some say it's a college student's art piece, but other pointed out that the red substance is consistent with how blood coagulates and isn't red paint drying..." Or "This phobia has a long history associated with mental disorders..."20 minutes of talking about said phobia while having creepy music and a few jump scares.
    Meanwhile you: We're gonna look at scary videos of scary things, and we're gonna have fun. Watches something that's genuinely creepy: "110% fake."
    Like the video where the person hears their own voice in another room, would naturally creep me out. Any other youtuber would analyze it and somehow make it worse and creepier, going down any number of rabbit holes from it being a demon to it actually being you from another dimension/universe/timeline. You though, "It's a creepy thought, but you can also fake this." Me: "OMG! You're right, I guess if a person is really good at ventriloquism."

    If there is any tiktok voice over the video or text on the screen, I'm immediately unable to get scared. Skits can be creepy, but if they are trying to play something off as real, but asking the question "why would you be recording right now" makes you realize it's nothing genuine, then it's also not scary to me

    See the thing is with the "spooky baby ones" thats what babies do, with the waving one to an empty hall, my baby brother bounces his hand and shakes his hands like that when he's excited, the one with the baby "being pulled" the little dude just fell, and when the baby hit the Bible into the water, babies swat things, they hit things, it wasn't some demonic baby trying to stop itself from getting baptized lol. I used to actually get freaked out by those, but it's just what babies do.

    I’m completely new to your channel, but the first video I watched I was relating to what you say so hard I subscribed instantly. As a kid (still sometimes) my imagination was so over reactive I would get scared taking the trash to the dumpster at night because I’d imagine horrifying faces watching me over the fence. The last video I watched you mentioned being on the 3rd floor and not wanting to think about seeing a face in the window, hard relate. I wanted to say that the clip at 8:00 whether it’s fake or not, I legitimately have had disembodied footsteps both run up on me upstairs and outside on a trail with my cousin, he heard it first racing up behind him and came tearing past me, and I was confused but also heard footsteps approaching rapidly, stopped, turned, saw nothing, and they were still coming so we booked it. Love the content, keep it up man

    I generally feel that if something makes you feel chills then it very well might be real. It's sort of my lie detector. I've been having conversations with someone and they will be telling me something disturbing. If the hair on the back of my neck stands up or I get chills, that's them telling the truth. My family's 2nd home had a basement and it did freak me out. The only way I was able to get over that fear was me moving into the basement and turning it into like a studio apartment sans toilet and kitchen. There was ONE part of the basement though that NEVER felt right and I still stayed away from it. THEN, I had to conquer the attic. Not a normal attic. It was the sections on either side of the rooms built into the attack that were ... not right. Had to block the flimsy wood panel doors with furniture to feel okay and safe.

    If I had to take a guess, the trapdoor in the cupboard is so that maintenance/electricians can still get to the walls when the wires or pipes need fixing.
    As for the "dungeon", I used to live in an old house that had a large storage room similar to that "dungeon" room instead of a basement because 200 years ago it was way easier to build a big room instead of digging a basement.
    So it's most likely just an old building that got refurbished and ended up looking creepy.

    The 'go somewhere else after a funeral' thing is interesting, some cultures believed that ghosts and demons could only travel in straight lines, so they go to and from graveyards in long winding paths so that the spirits can't follow them home.
