It's fun to change things up every so often; that's part of what gardening is all about. I love those smaller butterfly bushes, they do add ample color and are no fuss.
All the little changes just makes it that much sweeter,Just like life small changes a little at a time makes a big difference! Love the colors and the watching these transformation, dont over do it in this heat! Humidity here in NC makes it hard to breath with the heat! Be safe and keep this beautiful happy garden shining bright!
I had a golden mop that struggled too, I moved it to another part of the garden to rehab it & that location gets afternoon shade- it is thriving now, so Im just leaving it there!
Love your ideas about the new additions. Your projects are amazing. I would love to now see your garden right before sunset. Maybe a tour soon at the end of the day?
Sweet tea here in the South is tooooo sweet. Make it half and half and I can drink it. Worked 3 hours in the garden yesterday. My clothes were drenched with sweat - oh I forgot in the South we only glisten. Lol I'm resting in AC today with my lemonade. I need some of those pugster butterfly bushes -beautiful.
I live in high desert. Things that say plant in full sun must be planted as understory plants or in a well protected shady location such as hydrangeas, Japanese maples, red bud etc. they all need much more water also. I love your beautiful garden it’s so lush. Lush is something hard to achieve in high desert. Everything needs to be on drip, everything. Even drought tolerant plants and trees need extra, consistent water until established. Beautiful.
Again, you have such a natural eye for the right color in the right spot of your garden! Love Suburban. I've only been to the one in Martin City. Is that the one you frequent? Don't remember seeing golf carts there, but that sounds like a way to go! That ninebark by your bridge is perfect! Another plan to add to my long list lol. Love sweet tea half cut!
Look how beautiful that sand cherry accents your moon gate...similar colors. I agree you needed some burgundy color in your plantings. Do you have any Elderberries in your garden? I highly recommend these, they are gorgeous and that dark burgundy color. Yeah it is humid here...just a bit east of you in Washington Missouri. Looks awesome again...as usual. Black Currant Tea! with Monk Fruit.
Highly recommend you to anyone who loves gardening. Keep up the good work all over your yard.jeff

PS if I forget to water anything I plant for one day until established it is crispy. Your echinacea don’t look horrible

I'm with you about breaking up seas of green. Love the addition of the burgundy to your garden. That's something I'm planning on doing as well!

I had a golden mop in 6b Ballwin Mo. It didnt make it either 😊
Kindly tell me do these purple sand cherry grow as a big tree or they stay as a bush dwarf?.
Please tell us what kind of grass you have.
Ever try teasing the roots when you plant?
Holy cow. It doesn't even look like you cut the grass. Lower those wheels 😂
I bought me a ego weed whacker & it’s so powerful that I scalped my lawn! You make it look so easy, but how?🥱
