I would love to see the second season......
I had no idea that big guy is so much bigger than the other guy in real life (the characters names elude me at the moment, judge me not). Sitting next to each other, the contrast is so distinct, size-wise.

I think Daniel sits kinda crouched. I noticed that in that one scene where Laszlo and Sara sit next to each other on the park bench, it looks like he's shorter than her, when in reality he's taller

Apart from the harassment, it’s also still relevant in that there are certain people who could be killed in the street and barely anyone would care.
One of bestest show right now amazing quality and details put up really looking forward to for season.
The show is a must watch! Everyone does a great job!
This is one good series of great acting and terrific performances and storylines

please that shot of the corset marks on dakota's skin pissed me off sooo much. though i do believe that they actually used a chemise when stevie dressed as a girl.
I just finished binge watching and now I am waiting and longing for more..I just hope that they keep the main cast,and do not go overboard with trying to fit 21st century lifestyles into the 19th century, and believe me it has been tried on other series which sadly failed..

Yeah, pretty bleak, huge anti-climax but it''s supposed to be. The idea is that Lazlo is left with nothing and the whole mission was for nothing. He didn't get to study the killer's mind, which was his entire motive for pursuing him.
@@Oliver-ub4gc but also the whole talk about "we believe we could be greater than ourselves/what nature intend" is just a bit too pandering to "positivity" and just counter to the character itself who's supposed to be this edgy "negative" "weirdo" 'anal perfectionist" who through to the end always placed the blame on the society because of it's apparent bigger impact than what one person can be held acccountable for

You need to rethink your whole 'blaring background music' sort of situation.
Loved the show! But the ending was a bit disappointing to the build up of the plot.

Long legs, shorter torso, less muscle, bad posture as well as being a few inches shorter. So yes, he looks small compared to Evans.

Daniel is wrong when he says "psychologists". Alienists were medical doctors, some sort of primitive psychiatrists. And Freud was a neurologist with interest in psychology, not a psychologist. I find it weird that he didn't give it much thought, since there's an episode in which he's making a physical (gynecological) exam to a girl -that's obviously something a psychologist wouldn't do.
To be fair he does have a language barrier so he may have meant psychiatrist rather than psychologist

The first season was so brilliant but the second season left you underwhelmed because Dakota's character was given more importance and the whole theme felt like pushing feminist agenda down our throats. I like strong women characters in a show but to focus solely on Dakota and the feminist ideas were so obvious and boring. The story is about the Alienist, he should be the main focus! I wish we got more of Daniel in the second season.
Omg I agree so much. I’m all for women’s rights, but not everything has to become feminist. Kreizler is just more interesting as a character than Sara (and while Fanning is an awesome actress, I would say that Brühl is even better). Season 2 really suffered from focusing so much on Sara.
