I never comment on videos but just have to say, I respect you so much more after this video. Thank you for speaking out about places that charge ridiculous prices but don't deliver on product or service. We are at a pivotal point in society where we need to start speaking out more and not being silent. I appreciate you taking the time at the end to really go thru everything. Love your videos. ❤ Keep up the great work.
It's such a change to see an honest review of Disney food. That was an awful experience. Being served shell in two separate dishes and then being presented with a dirty glass is absolutely shocking and totally unacceptable.
I’ve worked fine dining for 22 years. You are paying for the food. If it isn’t correct, send it back. ESPECIALLY if it’s so expensive! We (your servers) want you to have exactly what you order and excellent quality. And if it isn’t, we want to fix it for you. I appreciate your always honest reviews!
I love that you will be honest no matter what and it's important to you, because it's important to all of us here here ♥️ I follow a lot of channels and enjoy seeing all the fun, but only you and Rix Flix truly always tell it like it is.
I was upset the moment I saw the state of the Brie on the cheese plate, but i gasped when you showed the lipstick stains all over the wine glass they gave you. I appreciate your honesty and thank you for taking one for the team! You deserve multiple expresso martinis 💕 sending you the best vibes 😎
You are much younger than me, but these kinds of experiences remind me of a prankster show that was on tv years ago. They had people thinking they were getting great quality, unique food, but it was ordinary things. The two examples that stuck in my mind was #1 the expensive water, that came right from the tap in the kitchen, and #2 was a "French mousse", that was simply cool whip. People were raving over these items, because they thought the price meant "great", but at the end, the pranksters told them the truth. Just shows that people can be swayed by fancy presentations, atmosphere and hype. Glad you are truthful with your reviews.
Having worked in kitchens - seasoning a dish "properly" is a dark art - especially white fish. People have many different palattes and tolerances to seasoning levels. Chefs are always taught to slightly over season as some "punch" is lost during the cooking process. With that being said - the one big thing I noticed was the "thyme" sauce that was served on the plate with the snapper was an shitty color of brown - maybe it was the lighting. That unappetizing palette color really doesn't belong on a plate. I wonder if they really have a chef from France working in the kitchen....
Disney thinks they can get away with charging exorbitant prices. The food is overpriced, and the jam looks like something that you can get in a high-end grocery store. In fact, when I worked at Hickory Farms when they had actual stores in the mall we sold jam just like the one that was served.
You are 👏🏼one👏🏼 hundred 👏🏼percent 👏🏼correct!!! And those were terrible excuses for a meal over $200. I would expect those excuses from the quick service booths, but not Monsieur Paul!
Legit reviews on food. HOWEVER, regarding candles, fire, open candles. Nope! Danger. I use oxygen, you may not be aware of people with Inogen machines…I’m grateful for the battery candles! Keep it honest though! Thank you!
Thanks for the thorough and honest review! If it makes you feel any better, I think the amuse-bouche lobster bisque was supposed to be chilled because I've had definitely had chilled amuse-bouche soups at French restaurants before!
Great review! Thanks for taking the initiative to publicly display how shamelessly greedy and low bar standards the current management is treating Walt’s company. This relates to basically all guest experience in the past year or two, this company needs a DRASTIC change in management. Review 10/10 Disney Upper Management 0/10
Commandment 11 - Thou shalt not eat at a restaurant with an espresso martini on offer and not order said cocktail. Girl, this was like the first 20 minutes of “Saving Private Ryan” with a pear palate cleanser! I am exhausted, I need a nap under a weighted blanket! 😂
I’ve never been to Disney, and idk if I ever will go to Disney, but I found your food reviews a few sell weeks ago and I’ve been enthralled. I love your style of reviewing and your videos are soothing, interesting, and funny! I get to eat at Disney vicariously and save a lot of $$$, haha. In regards to this video, I’m sorry you had such a poor dining experience! No excuse at the price point!
Thank you Kristen for a high quality video and always providing your honest opinion. This restaurant should always provide high quality dishes for that price tag. You are not being overly critical. High price tag = big expectations. We just returned from Disney as AP holders for years and can see Disney becoming complacent in certain areas. Also the candle comment took me out. Hahah 😂 love your sense of humor.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ya WDMS 😂😂 sorry you had a lackluster meal. I’m not a huge fan of French food either. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience as always. Stay safe. Have fun. Take a break. Catch you next time - Brian G.🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy your honesty. The cost of the meal, has to dictate the quality. I tend to analyze a lot of the stuff that you commented on. Whenever I find shells or bones in my meal, It certainly turns me off. Keep up the good content!
I am finding a lot of Disney restaurants disappointing. Most are way overpriced for crappy food. My husband and I are foodies and we love Flying Fish, Narcoosse’s, LeCellier. We’re finding some of the best food in Disney Springs. Thank you for saving us money, we’re never going to Monsier Paul’s
Kristen this is very entertaining. I will be watching twice. Shells are too much. I was a waitress. I used a crumber. I walked people to restroom. While they were gone, I refolded. Ritz Carlton training. You are on point.
Well, this is kind of a bummer of a meal, Kristen. I appreciate your candor about in which circumstances you will send something back to the kitchen. I know that makes you uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your honest review with us! 💜
This was painful to watch. I feel bad for the poor waiter, glad you didn't penalize him for the failure of the kitchen. I'm sure he gets the burnt of it on the regular.
Really is starting to seem like the quality and service has all fled to the Cruise Line, doesn't it? I'm betting that the service and quality at Remy is far superior to ANYTHING in WDW these days.
Wow that's so sad... I went 10 years ago and it was a fantastic experience (for half the price or 2 Dining Plan credits + $20!) Can't believe standards have fallen that much. Also, it's called Monsieur Paul after Paul Bocuse, a legendary chef in France, if not the most famous French chef ever, who was one of the investors in the restaurant when it opened in 1982, with some of his classic dishes. After he died, his son became involved and I hope that's no longer the case as he wouldn't be happy with this. I'm French myself and omg Paul Bocuse is literally credited with inventing French fine dining so this is so embarrassing 😢
You have 100% control to do whatever you feel you need to do for yourself what you do for your video is your choice also and when you’re paying that kind of money, I’m sorry they (the restaurant) shouldn’t have any shells or anything that shouldn’t be in there and if it’s supposed to be a hot soup, it should be bloody hot. Unfortunately I run into the other problem of things are over salted but I don’t use very much salt at home. I tend to stay away from it for health reasons. I don’t personally have this problem. I’d rather be able to season my food rather than not being able to use the salt shaker. 🧂 Like minds think alike. Before you even said anything about the cheese platter with three grapes.🍇😵💫 I was thinking wow they really outdid themselves with not only the three grapes but also the tiny cheeses, and I understand it’s a sampling, but it’s sad.🤯 $ that’s pricey of a meal, they should have homemade jam too. It’s not hard. It’s just a little bit of sugar with a little bit of water and fruit. They could even spice it up or use champagne or something to make it more special. 😳 The sad thing I’m not French and I’m just thinking off the cuff of things you could do. I’m not saying it’ll be spectacular, but it would probably be better than jar of jelly you can get from the grocery store. I don’t know if you should laugh or cry at this point a time.😂😮🤑🫶🏻 I will stick to what I do know the café in France is great whether you’ll get a sandwich or a dessert or you go get an ice cream or you go sit at the restaurant in France you get a good meal so I will continue enjoying, and saving myself a ton of money by not going to Mr. Paul’s. Believe it or not that’s the first thing I look at when getting a glass of wine is seeing if I can see a person‘s lips on the glass because the dishwasher has not cleaned them off and they don’t clean them off. Thank you for taking the hit there Kristen so we don’t have to.❤
@@wrightdownmainstreet Yes. Why not? Everything at WDW is marketed through product placements - Werthers is another Showcase example but there are many.
@ Everything at WDW is expensive. Just to get in the park is outrageously expensive. My favorite restaurant is Flying Fish. If you don’t like the price, stay home.
Thanks for the honest review! In defense of the candle, I think I had a fake one at V&A too? Like there were other real ones but the table one may have been?
I always appreciate your honesty. What a sad experience, 195 for a meal should be serving much higher quality food, that would not be acceptable to me . I’m glad you spoke up and said something !!
You did an excellent job of going in with a positive attitude. Sorry the restaurant was such a disappointment! For those prices, they need to do much better.
I knew you were upset when your face was so flushed. What a complete disappointment. The dirty glass…I hope you forward your thoughts to the management of the restaurant and Epcot proper. Unacceptable.

I agree there is no excuse for shells in your food but it was worse for my daughter who found plastic bits in her alfredo sauce at Tonys. Did you ever mention the lip print on the glass? I guess I'm lucky I ate at family's homes instead of restaurants in France if French food is the way it was at Monsieur Paul's! Thank you for your honest review. I really hope the restaurant staff meaning more like upper management sees this review & cleans up their act!
That blows my mind the outrageous prices they charge for such miniscule portions. I challenge you to do a video series of the top 5 worst and top 5 best videos across all Disney property lol 😂
Thanks for sharing, wow!,,, definitely not what I would expect for that price!!. Dirty glasses and cheap candles! The pathetic cheese pllate with prepackaged jam in the jar. You are so good at food but what also what could be better or other options.
Why didn’t you complain? Not that I’ve had any reason to complain at Disneyworld, but if I did, I would not be shy about it. They can’t improve without criticism. It may have saved you some money as well. It’s your hard earned cash, so you have a right to get the best service, and they’re obliged to make you happy.

Inexcusable!!! 😏 Looking at your cheese plate I was just thinking you could have gotten a much better one at Baseline Tap House or Jock Lindsey's. So glad we never wasted our money here. When the food at Le Halle is leaps and bounds over what you were served 😂
I am so sad that you didn't have a good experience at that restaurant. I do not plan to visit there, but may go back to Chefs de France. I would say that it is worth another shot one day, you know, in case it was just an "off day" but at that price, it is hard to do that.
Please review Bern's in Tampa. I went there once only for the desert, which was good. The service was amazing. Their Hazelnut icecream is mind blowing. The price was less than $40 for two.
I saw that Bonne Maman jam in like every grocery store in the EU. Prolly 1 euro for one that size. Honesty the head chef of this restaurant has got to go
Wow you have been very reasonable far too reasonable in the circumstance. I definitely would have sent most of those dishes back and left. I agree with you that for that price it should have been a much better standard of food.
Thank you for your honest opinion. I would die if I got shells. Won’t be going there! When you held up the drink my first thought was that is watered down!
There are so many good places to eat at Epcot that I really enjoy, this is very disappointing to see. Chefs de France is always so good and so much fun. Thanks for the review.
If you like taste..more taste…please ask for salt and pepper. You’d be surprised at how many people don’t like salt and pepper and love these dishes as is or can’t eat salt and pepper. You had a lot of complaints this restaurant. Most people love this restaurant. Are you trained to eat foreign foods? You’re a nice person but you are not a professional to tell the world what’s good and what’s not good. Again maybe study more about the food before you go into each restaurant. Sincerely, Cindy
I haven’t ever had the desire to dine there.. thank you so much, now I know I will never go. I just got my “Delicious Magic” t-shirt yesterday and so excited to wear it to Disney. I was also able to get the sticker pack, with a Country Bears Jamboree as well as “I Need A Bev-er-ahge” sticker !!!!! Thank you for all your content and food reviews. We have been going on all your recommendations… and we’ve been enjoying all the places we would of never tried 🎉
The worst customer experience with the Restaurant is that they never reduced the bill!! They should have apologised to you….but they are French….enough said 😂😂😂🤞🏻
Even the presentation was nauseating. I would be pissed if I went there and was served that bull 💩. I would have demanded my check be reduced. Gross. Who smothers a steak in thick sauce? Wow, so disappointing.

I thought the same thing about the sauce with the snapper. Gross!
The Chef probably had to Disnify the dishes to make it palatable for their guests.
Disney thinks they can slap any price tag on anything they want because they are Disney. Crazy the direction the company has taken since Eisner.
Thank you for the refreshing, honest review. WDW has become unaffordable to most and they deserve to hear when they’re not meeting expectations.
I see a new shirt coming, the baby grape and jar of fig jam 😂
Omfg the cheese plate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The dirty glass is hilarious
Disney thinks they can get away with charging exorbitant prices. The food is overpriced, and the jam looks like something that you can get in a high-end grocery store. In fact, when I worked at Hickory Farms when they had actual stores in the mall we sold jam just like the one that was served.

You are 👏🏼one👏🏼 hundred 👏🏼percent 👏🏼correct!!! And those were terrible excuses for a meal over $200. I would expect those excuses from the quick service booths, but not Monsieur Paul!

I just looked it up true French food will have limited amounts of salt compared to the fatty salty cuisine of American food.

No thank you
Can’t believe that place is still in business all the people that been there on utube said that
Place sucks and cost too much money
I know how you feel, same thing happened to me at Le Jules Verne.
The price of takumi tei or Victoria and Alberts makes sense for special occasions…this place however… not so much…
Ya let's stroll but that's way to much but I love watching appreciate you
Looks like the service is great and is getting screwed by a lazy kitchen. Such a shame.
275 for a bad meal is waaayyy beyond my budget
Holy crap.. that cheese plate is disgraceful wtf

Do you pay to get into the park before checking out the restaurants? Or do you have a season pass to get into all of the parks?
More disney dining disappointments…. Every place is over priced and sub par now
I could get that meal in Paris for $50 euros and it would have been 10x better. Wow another Disney Corp. way to rip off people. That meal was awful
Even the presentation was nauseating. I would be pissed if I went there and was served that bull 💩. I would have demanded my check be reduced. Gross. Who smothers a steak in thick sauce? Wow, so disappointing.
Would you collaborate with Ordinary Adventures and Theme Park Express?
They have a better-looking cheese plate on Spirit Airlines. Yikes.
I would agree and I haven’t eaten there! We won’t go there especially with a 9 year old child lol
My favorite reviews are when you hate things
Isn't that everything?
Totally agree biggest Meh I ever felt so so good for a foofoo price
Kristin, do you get a discount with an AP here? I won't be eating here, but just curious.
I left in such a rage that I forgot to ask 😂 but if I had to guess, no
I would complain. I don’t understand how they can charge that much and have so many 👎
I do not like fish almost any kind ( shrimp and while fried fish mild is ok)
