Loving your Motown Monday selections. This was great and reminds you how talented each of the Tempts were. Don’t understand why this wasn’t a big hit. Thanks for your great reactions. Enjoy the banter between the two of you. Great channel. 👏👏👏🥰
David Ruffin in the background seems like an oxymoron. The Temps were made for tv with their choreography and vocals that you couldn’t help singing along with… thanks, Ed for your really big shoe
Aren't these old Ed Sullivan shows the best? Plus you can't beat The Temptations and their super smooth groove and those moves!! Monday Motown indeed🎶Thanks guys!
I am very old school. I used to watch this group at many Motown reviews in Philadelphia. They would stretch a 3 minute song out to 7 or 8 minutes and the ad libs were fantastic. That song did pretty well on black radio; however, it was the B side of "My Baby": which followed "My Girl", and was the chart buster.
WOW!! What a to start off the week!! Thanks for doing the Motown Mondays theme!! Fellas, you are making me feel young again with this. Being born and raised in the D, this was soundtrack we grew up with Appreciate the excellent reaction, fellas!!
Side Note: Don't forget that Teena Marie was with Motown from 1976 to 1982. She released the albums Wild and Peaceful, Lady T, Irons in the Fire, and It Must Be Magic. Maybe you can do one or more of her songs on a Monday.
Great stuff! Unless somebody baked-in that closed caption business, you should be able to click out of it using the CC preference button on the screen.
I love the original recorded version of this. My other top Temps lesser known fave is Since I Lost My Baby. I only know them because they were on a Temptations Greatest Hits album that my oldest sister owned.
Ed Sullivan's orchestra must have been tight, because The Temptations got with their big band background sound just as energetic. Great performance and review.
Hmm… looks to me like J. Bonn@ma$$a & B. H@rt might’ve “borrowed” some lyrics from this song (2:06 to 2:18) for their “I’ll T@ke C@re Of You” song….. 🤔🫤 Check it out Gents & lmk wh@t y’@ll think.

I love Motown Mondays!! Thank you, guys! There really is nothing like Motown artists, so unique & insanely talented.
I was born in '53, and my first real cognizant exposure to music was in the 60's ... to Motown. Basically mother's milk to me.

My favorite song by the Temptations sung by my favorite Temptation.
"My favorite Temptation" has a naughty kind of sound to it, doesn't it? :)
@alconstantineau1063 yes it does!

I didn't know that this was the original. Know the Peter Tosh/Mick Jagger version. I'm learning on your UA-cam Channel.

Did anyone catch Paul's wink at the end? 😉
You have to do the battle beetween them and the supremes, on the Ed sullivan show as well ! :)

The record is nothing like this. Purely for the live performance.
The original is one of my favorite Temps songs.
