    The bike you showed is not street rod 750(XG750A). The bike you showed is street 750. Street rod 750 is a far better bike.

    It would have to be triumph bonneville for me because I did Route 66 and the Pacific highway up to San Francisco on one of those bikes. It was a brilliant bike and never missed a beat on the whole trip.

    The £99 admin fee is disingenuous. It costs nothing to do the admin to change the ownership details. Until such time as retailers advertise the full purchase price I will continue to boycott them and I urge others to do likewise.👎

      Quite simply, I negotiate with a vehicle dealer on the “out the door price”. I don’t care how they arrive at that number.

    • @Eddiestab
      @Eddiestab 2 роки тому

      I completely agree - I see ‘admin fee’ and it turns me off from the dealer

    • @johnsamson-snell9558
      @johnsamson-snell9558 2 роки тому +1

      I have done some more digging reference the admin fee and this is what I found:
      “The only situation in which the supplier can request the additional money is if the correct price had been discussed with the customer before the purchase. If a customer is charged more for a product than what was advertised, they are entitled to ask to be refunded the price difference”.
      So it’s a grey area but I am taking legal advice to see if this is an illegal practice. Will report back when I have a legal precedent which I’m sure there must be.

    I browsed their site a bit. That Triumph is a gem. But I would likely go for one of the shaft driven, v-twin Hondas that are well within budget. A round headlight Honda CB300R or CB125R is also a fun modern-retro standard. But such a pity they don't have any Suzuki TU250s in stock. Absolute gem of an affordable, air-cooled, UJM single.

    You didn't mention how old that orange triumph was. It looked pretty old for the design but the condition is top notch, the engines are neat and clean, the frames and the panels are not scratched up, neither the tank. Still in brand new condition even though it's an old bike.

    I think a lot of people want to see more reviews and vids on S/H bikes. Well done you and Super Bike Shop for letting you ride their stock. Hope to see a lot more of this stuff. TMF, also, has started putting out Super Bike Shop videos.
    Yesterday, I bought A Kawasaki W650 for well under 5K ( in fact well under 4K ) which is in immaculate condition. A 'labour of love' as my brother in law put it. So, they are out there, people.
    I would have gone for the Bonnie out of these three.

    I wouldn't buy a key ring from Superbike Factory, they're a charlatan company who use motorcycles to sell their main area of business which is finance. I bought a bike from them about three years ago which had a cracked engine, crudely welded together. I noticed this after a month when an oil leak appeared. I made them aware at which they accused me of damaging the engine. After a heated discussion they agreed to assess the bike. They agreed the weld was old and refunded me. They said the bike was not financially worth repairing yet the following day it was back for sale at a higher price than I paid. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

    Interesting video, but I have a Street Rod 750, and that isn't one (although the spec on screen looked correct). It is a Street 750, which has less power, worse brakes and suspension, and reportedly worse build quality than the Street Rod. The ergonomics are very different between the two - the Street Rod is more sporty (less comfortable) and a little weird in its foot position, although I've got used to it. The Street Rod has drag bars and bar-end mirrors which look great but make the bike quite wide. The Street was around longer and it is easier to find accessories; there is very little for the Street Rod apart from exhausts. I really like my Street Rod, and I reckon at under 5k would be a good deal, but I do like the look of that Bonneville.
