    I appreciate that you pointed out how the increase in tempo made you uneasy.
    Bo taking us on the journey of the internet in just a few minutes and utilising the tempo to make us feel both comfortable and on-edge. It’s a pretty genius tactic.

      The camera zooms as the tempo gets faster which makes you even more uneasy as you lose control of what you're watching

    Bo knows how to deliver absolute truth hidden inside of ridiculous theater, I don't think most people can even comprehend his brilliance.

    An interesting little detail that I haven't seen anyone pick up on yet, he doesn't say "put the world in your hands" but "hand". So not actually giving any power to users to change anything, like we'd expect, but just giving us the tools (smartphone) to observe the world change, powerless to affect it ourselves

    We humans are not emotionally ready for everything that the internet is. There should be classes for grade school kids on how to handle the pressure and the pitfalls that they will encounter growing up with internet being a major part of their lives.

      Time has changed but the education system didn't, creating a gap for people who like you said, don't know how to use it properly. The internet can build ones life if used correctly or ruin it, I agree with you 100%!!

      Our brains, as amazing as they are, simply did not evolve for this and are thus literally incapable of handling the constant, undiluted flow of pure information and stimulation we have created. It's utterly overwhelming, and apathy is our defense mechanism against that onslaught. But that very apathy makes it so we don't fight the temptation as we get sucked deeper and deeper into the thing that's killing us physically and mentally. A viscious cycle.

      I agree and disagree, kind of sort of lol, IDK. I think or maybe wonder if the internet is actually just another step in our collective evolution, think of where were going? what's instore for humanity on the next level? could it be one day human communications could one day turn into our ability to telepathically communicate and if this is true, imagine goring from our current barbaric communications to telepathy, now that would be a hard transition, the internet would be aa transitional phase in the grand scheme of all tings.
      Now, will we evolve at some point to having the ability to use telepathy to communicate??? who knows, but the possibility certainly exist in fact their are already signs of this happening already on a very small scale. their have been many controlled scientific test and proof that it exist. so again who knows.
      I also believe humanity right now is going though other very big transitional phases, l mean, look at the state of the world, it all seems chaotic and bad, but what if there is a logical reason, maybe it has to be this way in order to move humanity to new understanding and direction, after all, our evolution never stops, we evolve all the time.
      Think of it this way, day by day nothing ever seems to change but in looking back we see nothing is as it once was, it's literally a never ending journey, we humans have for a large part have been so surprised that it's sometimes hard for us to see a possible future. it's all understandable and on a cosmic level, it's pretty cool when you step back and look at things from a 40,000ft perspective and get out from the day to day little dramas that often keep us limited in mind..
      IDK, and I don't think anyone knows for certain what the future holds in store for humanity, but a great philosopher once said, if you ever wondered if something exist or not, if its thought about it exist somewhere. remember, all of creation always and in every case stems from thoughts, it's just the way the universe works, prove me wrong. so with this in mind, in a world with unlimited potential, anything becomes possible.
      Just some of my thoughts on all this, again, I do know the answers, only the questions.
      What I do know for certain is... Nothing is as it appears to be on the surface and it never was, most everything is a creation of someone else's illusion. what is real? what is truth? what is? and are we sure it's any of these things? Do we want to know or do we want to simply believe? that is the question.

      @@TherapeuticReactions It's a common criticism (and rightly so) that the current US education system is basically a hold out from the reaction to the Industrial Revolution ("we need more workers"). It's the answer to "How can we get kids to be OK with rigid structure, adhering to rules from above without question, a long day often not filled with stimulating content and still teach them enough to be good workers?" Most modern jobs (tech, CAD-based architecture, even modern medicine of all stripes) don't fit this criteria and are far more fluid - it's why our education system so properly prepares people for remedial jobs and so *improperly* for modern jobs.
      How to handle the modern world whether it's the Internet, technological misinformation (deep fakes, spin/propaganda networks), physiology (staying healthy in sedentary lifestyles) and even modern finances should be basically required classes each *year*, in my opinion. Realistically, you deal with those things on a daily basis so why shouldn't they be included as core curriculum vs. trigonometry or learning a foreign language you'll likely never use?

      @TherapeuticReactions  3 роки тому

      @@Femtastico Oh spot on in my opinion, followed by the evil laugh and the sentence "and if we stick together who knows what we'll do" that makes your point even stronger. When together we have the strength to push forward and succeed. When thinking we're together (social media) yet actually alone and apart, that is an illusion of power that only favors the people at the top

    Watchable as in the wearable devices

    • @chrisgoss728
      @chrisgoss728 3 роки тому +4

      I interpreted "watchable" as a reference to the generation of content creators. Bo has talked about all of us being performers, "performing" a version of ourselves on social media, tiktok, UA-cam, etc... a generation of literally watchable people.

    • @marcocalatroni
      @marcocalatroni 3 роки тому +2

      @@chrisgoss728 I totally agree that probably is the main perspective, mine was just to get to the wording from another angle. I guess that's the cool thing about him: with such wit and sharpness Bo has so many levels and double-triple meanings that you catch something new and different and special at every listening .
