    Hi Sandra, I did a 1:1 Coaching with you last summer. I was so pressed to get a job and really tired of the applications. In our session we went over my resume, and you give me some helpful tips about how to get more attention on my applications. Mainly following up on linkedin, reaching out to other employees of the company, and writing the dreaded cover letter (i wasnt doing this before). These were the most helpful tip I received because I started to get interviews, it was still a long journey but I finally got a great paying job as a SR Info Sec client liaison. Thank you, money well spent!

    Hi, Sandra! Your videos explaining your role in C.S. jobs have convinced me to switch to a BAS in Cybersecurity at my college :) I was wondering how helpful you think the Network+/Security+ certs from CompTIA are when it comes to landing a high-paying job right out of college? I graduate in Spring ‘23 (hopefully) and would like to do either a summer internship or begin a career immediately 😊

    I have two questions on the subject: 1- In 10 years, can AIs replace or take over many vacancies in cybersecurity? 2- Do you think doing comptia+, NDE, DFE, cloud+ would already be enough certifications to enter the market as a junior? what salary to expect?

    Just found your channel as I am currently studying for Security+. This along w the rest of your videos has been reassuring on what I want to do since I graduated college in Computer Engineering last May. Besides watching tutorials online and using hacking training websites you mentioned, I am curious if you have any other resources you'd recommend that can help people like me, because even though I've done some work in SQL and Wireshark during my undergrad, I'm still fairly new to the networking/cybersecurity game and would like to learn more about it while making sure my resume/cover letter is tailored on what recruiters want. Thanks a bunch Sandra! 🙂

      Hey Kaleb, thanks for watching! So for students, I say summer break you always want an internship preferably in the area you want to go into when you graduate, during the semester - the best choice is to get a Teaching assistant role in a class relevant to what you want to do or a workstudy that could be relevant to your major, if not then an off campus job like IT help desk, technician (I worked at a computer repair shop throughout college and it taught me a lot!), or anything else relevant to your major is perfect, good luck!! 😁

    Great video! Quick question, let’s say one gets an entry-level job as a cybersecurity intelligence analyst and stays for 2-3 years doing just that as you described. Wouldn’t this job, since it is not technical, hinder future opportunities in the field if cybersecurity? Sounds like there wouldn’t be any upward or even lateral mobility to other field because of lack of experience. Thank you!!!!

      For sure! Most companies are moving away from degree requirements as long as you have the skills for the job, which could come from using the tools yourself (many cyber tools are open source or freemium to use), certifications, online tutorials/trainings, free CTFs, or bootcamps

    is there a difference between Network Security Analyst, and Information Security analyst ?

    • @colud_5446
      @colud_5446 2 роки тому +4

      A network security analyst designs, plans and implements security measures to protect data, networks and computer systems. They are also in charge of preventing data loss and service interruptions.
      Information security analysts typically do the following: Monitor their organisation's networks for security breaches and investigate when one occurs. Use and maintain software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
