Hey Everyone! At 5:59, the food card with the text 'return this' means that it should be return to the card stack it came from. I discarded it. This will be corrected in the next one and doesn't impact gameplay. At 19:40, I missed the symbol at the bottom of the card which indicated to replace the card with the gold version. I will do this at the start of the next video to ensure we don't miss out on it. Thanks for watching and make sure to vote on what you'd like me to focus on next! Cheers! :)
Thanks for your feedback! Please don't misunderstand me - i only want to give some guidance - not to discourage you. My suggestion for the next steps: Do all actions on card 14. Then head north (to the card with the seagull) and do ALL actions there! At that point you have pretty much seen everything on this island so finally head west.
Hey Adam! Take another look at the 139 card that you found when searching the body of the dead sailor, and then look at the map on the Voracious Goddess card. Notice the "FT 16" on both cards?
May I just add a couple of comments: 1. Food can stack just like any other item. As it has the same keyword, the dice on it increases. This saves you some item slots. 2. I highly recommend to check all actions you want to take on a location card before you leave it. Card 14 could have been checked before you went back to the fire. 3. Whenever you spot a hidden number, take that card first before you do any other action on that card. 4. Remember that you can do some actions on location cards multiple times. You might actually want to do so in your very next video. 5. I would, personally, recommend not to "hoard" too many items in your hand. Towards the end of this video you decided to rather keep the charakter cards - these are much more valuable as they often provide an ongoing effect.
6. I fully agree with you to keep one remember as a backup. However, watch out that you hand does not get to blocked by all the permanent charakter cards. You will need room for cards like "knowledge is power" (which are only good if you have at least two of them). By the way: try collecting them to gain some XP :-) 7. This is only my personal opinion: You may want to explain/describe a little less all the possible options. Otherwise this first curse will take you at least 30 youtube video parts to make. 8. I would recommend to only make a fire immediately after you have made a hunt. The main (and maybe only) reason of doing a fire is to salvage the food better. 9. Don't worry too much about your charakters state (eg. if terrified, bloody etc.). If things go worse you can still use a remember card to pull the splint out of your discard and heal easily. 10. Also don't worry too much about the costs for walking. For example: There is little reason not to head back east for eating. If you don't, you would have to set up a fire somewhere else (which will cost you not only an item card for making the fire but also the cards you draw to get the stars). Walking one space to the right and one back is costing you much more cards...
Hey DL! Thanks for watching and the great feedback! #1. That's right! This will be important as the game progresses and I craft more items. #2. I agree with you. There are certainly a lot of different actions you can take on a turn. Some come from the continent and are more obvious, others come from combos within your hand. Adds a lot of possibilities for sure. #3. Bang on DL! Depends on 'when you see the hidden number however. If you spot it up front, it should be pulled right away. However, if you spot it later, its within the rules to resolve it at that point as well. #4. As long as it doesn't display the one time use icon, you're correct! More options is never a bad thing. :) #5. That's the plan! Near the end I decided to continue to hold onto the character cards due to their great ongoing effects. I have a card or two in hand currently which I plan on using in the next one to free up some hand space as well. :) #6. Exactly, there are five character cards and I don't plan on hoarding all the character ones. I'll have to discard ones which don't make sense for the moment as we go. #7. I'm actually going to continue for a little longer, but at a certain point I'm going to leave it for everyone to discover on their own. The purpose is to give everyone an idea on how it plays and flows. I'm enjoying showing off this fantastic game, but I also don't want to spoil too much. So there won't be 30+ videos. ;) #8. Right on. That's a great strategy as well. Another one is to lower the cost to move back to a critical junction of map tile which has a high movement cost to return to. Fires are one part healing and another part movement reduction. #9. Very true! #10. Totally, however based on my lack of knowledge of what is coming when I head North and then West, I wanted to have as much action cards back in the deck as possible and also wanted to show everyone how eating along with moving back into a campfire location works. But I agree with you 100% DL, best not to back track as I mentioned in the video because you don't get as much benefit out of eating in that case. :) Cheers!
11. The movement rules are really confusing. For now it is straight forward but you may want to re-read them carefully (and also the FAQ on the official website) for when you proceed in the game. There will come a time when you need to head back a LOT of location cards and then there is a special rule for this. 12. also another general "tip" from my side: having one item for fighting/hunting never hurts. You do not need specific stuff (like the rope) often but having the blowpipe ready is always good. Not to mention the Bolas - they are just amazing for every hunt! Get them back with a "Remember" card and you have can consider yourself a decent huntsman :-) 13. Remember your item limit of 4! This is, indeed, a pain as there are so many items you want to craft. However, certain items are only helpful in specific situations (eg. you do not need snowshoes unless you see snow...) while others can be used immediately (eg. the walking stick). 14. you can decide to save food cards for later. However, do note that they eat up one of your item slots! Hunting places appear regularly so do not worry too much.
Thanks for watching Daniel. You're right! I had a lapse there and thought it was 6 for some reason. However, I caught myself and discarded down to 5 a bit later ;)
Hey MM! I haven't determined the point that I'll stop just yet. When I know I'll let you guys know during the video. I won't be doing the entire curse as not only would it be a large amount of spoilers to do so but the time to play is estimated at 1-1000 minutes. I don't have that much time! haha Plus the vast majority of the magic in the game is discovering things for yourself as you go.
You kept on wasting cards from your hand. You had the experience card in hand for ages and never used its action to actually gain experience. You got the splint but didn’t craft it so the next spot action you took you again hit your hand size limit. All those “blueprints” won’t get you any good if you don’t spend some time actually crafting those objects. An remember to combine items that share a keyword you you will enhance the combined item durability and won’t hit items limit 😉
Great thoughts here! This was one of my earlier attempts at the game so the strategy wasn’t all there yet. Thanks for the feedback! It’s a great game :)
@@RollingSolo Yeah I know. I just discovered your playthrough and even though I'll be spoiling the game by watching it, I don't know if I'll ever be able to play it myself. Apparently I was stupid enough to miss BOTH kickstarter campaigns and now I'm hoping there will be some leftover copies after backers fulfillment up in Serious Poulp's online shop. The art looks gorgeous and the feel of loneliness, survival and exploration is great, even from a video 😊😊

+der LoAd Thanks DL! I love all the suggestions and comments. No discouragement taken here. Keep them coming! I like that plan by the way! :)

+Aaron Brennan Very cool indeed! Good catch :)
Psssshhhttt...!! Don't forget to use your magnifying glass ; )
nvm I commented while watching :p
Nothing wrong with that! ;)

At 5:16: „check hand limit. Its 6. its perfect“ ???? Huh? You have to discard 1 to limit of 5 ... or not?
Thanks for watching Daniel. You're right! I had a lapse there and thought it was 6 for some reason. However, I caught myself and discarded down to 5 a bit later ;)
nice video again and as others did say i also would have examend the 016 card right away and at the voting option i can't select the 016 013 and 015
Thanks Gert! I agree with you, I need a time machine...stat! ;P
Adam - I may have missed this. How long do you plan on playing? Are you doing the whole curse?

korrok The EU shop is supposed to open next week. I’ll see if I can grab a copy of the game and its expansion
