This video is great just a few things i might mention to anyone wanting to run the steeple. if you are running for the first time DON'T hurdle every steeple as you won't have the bone density and you might not have the enurance to. secondly you don't have to hurdle everyone you can do the same action as on the water jump but on dry instead. finally when you are doing the water jump yes it is good to jump outwards as that is the way you want to go, but it is better to push upwards as this will pull your body up and you will go further and you don't have to worry about jarring your legs. This isn't hate this is just my knowledge and my coaches knowledge who represented australia. other then that it was a great video
im running one of these for a college meet this saturday...for my first time lol im so nervous since im running the 1500 before it and on top of that ive never hurdled/jumped ever haha this should be good
You should run 8 laps open, then on the 9th and 10th laps do hurdles every 100m. Have the hurdles in lane 2 and run into lane 2 when you hurdle. Then on the 11th and 12th lap, use the water pit as well as the hurdles
Thanks for uploading this tutorial. I'm going to run the 3K steeplechase this year and it will be my first time can someone send me the email for this coach plz

How was it?
@@RhettMashburnhow you gonna ask him 9 years later💀
@Ohsonikefresh she won't be disappointed. What high school does she hail from?
@kylepeevler I guess in different places steeplechasing is the same as hurdling.
you demonstrate hurdling by studdering before the hurdle, but you really should keep your stride up because the studder step slows you
great job! :) You helped me a lot !!!
ohhh now i see why they jump like that! I just jump normal! But umping like this gets you over and done much quicker and you stay in balance!
Hahahahahahaha! The best of all was the end... xD Very good video, thank you.
I'm sorry but, is that fresh water in the pit?
CHiCO STATE!!!!!
that's weird, i didn't think patrick could speak without being sarcastic
ha it was on purpose. but it was great acting.
Next time make the decision before you cast a video if you want to share speech or share music.
