Maybe if those BLM demonstrators were home studying all the time like all others that get into schools of higher education there wouldn't be this problem. Instead they would rather spend their days conjuring up fake racism, fake victimhood, which leads to nothing but hopelessness and despair. I didn't get accepted by any of my top 10 schools I applied to. I didn't cry about it and play the victim. I understood there were more qualified candidates and moved on and made the best of my situation. If one of my top 10 schools said they would take me based on my race and not my merit, I would've turned them down in a heartbeat !!! I would've been mortified!!! Listen, only the best make it to the highest level of sports, and schools shouldn't be any different.

Jim Crow laws destroyed several generations of black progress. AA was meant to try to help remedy those destructive laws. Comparing sports to school is apples to oranges to say the least. Any school can prepare a student to achieve greatness in a sport while other students at these inner city overcrowded underfunded schools will never be prepared for state college yet alone an Ivy League school. Since this has passed the black student population is down 50% at Harvard. Students that have gone to private schools will now have more seats for them and the poor will return to the hood to remain poor and work blue collar jobs and then they will come up with something else stupid to help blacks out. Yah started this crap with Jim Crow laws. Until they fix schools k-12 in inner cities.

I was denied entry to Michigan State Police academy in 1987 because I was not black or female. Got an 89 on the entrance exam, and was told I need a 97 percent because I was a white male. When I asked the Sargent at the police post why I was not accepted, he said that's affirmative action for ya.

That was also a time when whites owned over 90% of the country’s wealth mainly because of Jim Crow laws so cry me a river

For those upset with the SCOTUS ruling I would ask you to look at a calendar. You will notice that it's NOT 1965

Schools were still segregated after 1966 and good schools were racist and bullied blacks and threw rocks through their home windows to scare them out of good neighborhoods and good schools having an entire generation of uneducated blacks creates another generation of uneducated blacks. We are only three generations removed from such times meanwhile there are elite privilege whites that are fourth and fifth generation private school graduates now you have the nerve to talk to me about merit.

Diversity and equity has nothing to do with an SAT score. All people are equal. We have many laws on the books that prevent racial bias. Free handouts based solely on race should not exist in America. There is no need for them. The people who have the best merit should get the scholarships period. Quit downgrading your own race by saying you need a handout to get ahead because you are a certain race. Have some pride and confidence in your race.

It is very beautiful. It’s even more beautiful when it is not forced upon us and happens naturally. In 2023, we should not have any better chance of getting into a school based off of race than anyone else.. regardless of what that race is. That is true diversity, when everyone is truly equal and isn’t made to feel like they need a handout or free pass to get ahead.

Affirmitive action was necessary when it racism was a problem for our young growing country. In todays America the only racism one needs to worry about is on the news. I can’t see how people are upset that now people can only get into college based off their grades and scores and not get a free pass because of their skin color. I’m mixed half white half black and I got no free pass into college but a 26 on ACT was high enough to get a few grants and loans that I’m still paying back might I add. These young ignorant kids don’t realize that affirmitive action is only there to fast track young people into owing the federal government money. Tell me it ain’t.
