That AI austria was genuinely wild af. Like, the only time I've seen a more wild PU spree from an ai was a Spain that PU'd Portugal, Naples, Austria, and France or when I saw a sexy Savoy PU basically every state in italy and form italy in 1540
14:46 its really crazy how i started watching drew durnil when i was in 7th grade and now i have 2500 hours in eu4 and i watch your videos now and im gonna be in college soon
I don't know how you did it but by adding Ilkhanate you created a timeline even more cursed, confusing and convoluted than my weirdest playthroughs ever.
Wow this one was a wild ride all the way through, Austria's rise and fall was insane, and I ESPECIALLY did not expect the Brazilian-Portuguese hyperwar lol. Would love to see more of adding cool historical nations to 1444 to see how it shakes up the power blocs in different areas. That GP list at the end was prob my favorite of all your vids so far, a big GP from basically every region of the world.
Only the AI could drop the ball with Austria that hard after PU'ing Hungary, Bohemia, Poland, _and_ Lithuania. That'd be outright hegemonic in the hands of a player who knows what they're doing with subjects.
Youn could try the other start dates and see what happens. I know they're kinda broken and so that Could make things interesting. Another suggestion is putting most countries that normally in vanilla get great power for most of the game, Put those ones in opposite corners of the map. Spain in NZ, Ottomans in Kamchatka, France in tierra del fuego, russia in north canada, UK In iceland, ming in central africa, venice in hawaii 😈, mams in australia, poland lithuania border muisca and mexicans, prussia in madagasgar
Just things I thought may be interesting. You could maybe replace the moved countries' land they came from with all their provinces as releaseables like duchies ir regional powers, or literally just move the land with mods.
Historically, Ilkhanate was Buddhist at first and then converted to Islam which made them to sign a treaty with Mamluks. Similar to Vikings only willing to do terms with Normans only when they convert to Christianity.
@@Chewbert that depends if you screw with Ottos and Austria in your games, if you leave both alone most of the time they'll bully the hell out of Venice
I'd like to see another video with Yuan in 1444, maybe without mandate of heaven and a gov cap boost. I hope for big blobbing with that beautiful color. On second thought, a simple Ming with no mandate would also be kind of cool, I don't know what the AI China would do without the mandate. And would it do if it had the mandate but had all mandate reforms done in 1444?
Ilkhanate was weirdly the shortest lasting of the post mongol state. I'm not even sure what it's legacy might be as Persia is just crossroads between Steppe empires and settled people empires.
Because it's orange.
Best comment
mmm indeed
Wow. Now my comment doesn't make any sense.
Sorry need to get moar views 😂
Imagine being brought back from the dead just to be the most uninteresting part of your own video, tought life ilkhanate
That’s usually what happens in these videos

I love it when the AI goes off the rails for no apparent reason. Also it’s been a while since I’ve seen Egyptian Australia.
They go from desert to desert makes me have an eu4 idea... WHAT IF THE MAMLUKS CONTROLLED EVERY DESERT PROVINCE IN 1444

Time flies, man

Prussia in Madagascar, I dont know why that gives me some eerie feeling

Doing something with the Celtic Union mod would be interesting!
I'm pretty sure Austria did the thing they do everytime I ally them where they just randomly delete half of their army and then get jumped.
Love seeing an African nation be a great power.
Unpauses, instantly rebel noises.
Ah yes Poland the punching bag of Central Europe
Ever since drew stopped the AI only 😢
I just wanna say I appreciate what u do m8 🙏
IDEA: Put every formable (or at least most of them) on the map in 1444 and see what happens
Already did that I think.
Hawk Tuah, Spit on that thang!
Gotta feel bad for Venice. You know you're in for a rough ride and did something wrong when both Austria and the Ottomans are tag teaming you.
They always do that in my games tho
Venice literally always dies because they can't stand against Ottoman fleet, and Austrian+Ottoman troops
Nah not correct at all I would say Venice thrives in like 75%+ of games

@@ChewbertTrue with 90k mercenaries in 1450 xddd

I think at one point the Ilkhanate elites were Coptics

I think you can form the ilkhanate as tibet, but I could be wrong
Do more vids in this format
That western map is like some weird mesh between vanilla and Victoria 2's Divergences of Darkness mod, what the heck.
Now return the Mongol empire
What if every ruler is always militarist?
the Chillkhanate
Ming always max mandate?
Ming always max mandate.
it's been a while since i've seen mamluk australia..................
