God, I've spent 45 years drinking to escape my pain of family rejection, and also the pain of thinking "Something is (intrinsically) wrong with me". Nothing ever was wrong with me. I threatened the broken family system with my sensitivity and honesty. You have to be SO strong to be in this role. But the truth of who I am, and who we all are, is beyond what we were originally taught. Thank you Candace.
As I connect more with my childhood emotional experience, I realize that a lot of what I was doing was grieving my parents' traumas - of having to deny their true selves and never dealing with it.
I can relate to your 'Validation' comment: "anyone who genuinely 'gets me' "... they'll get more of my time and attention because I can see they have empathy, are capable of deeper rapport/ connection, and are very likely willing to grow with self-awareness and be accountable (unlike the the narcissistic blaming and projecting types).
Totally Candace, the uncertain identity and living in an existential crisis. Being born equipped to function at 5D or being awake. Not being able to function in the 3D optimally. Being ostracized by our birth tribe (toxic family). Thank you for your wonderful work Candace. I am same, I never doubted my take, I just didn’t get why with the being so different. Love this. We came to be the medicine.
In my view now.. the abuse is designed to position the victim as the listener, encourager, advisor - everyone wants that of course! The victim would like that too.. But the person least able to escape or fight back - ends up stuck with the role of ‘giver’

Being co dependent and feeling what other people are feeling intensely at times is overwhelming and sometimes unbearable. Sometimes I can’t distinguish if it’s me or them, the worst part is entertaining that idea only to find it wasn’t what I wanted. Just myself recognizing the plans/agenda someone may or may not have sought out for me. Even when Im not spot on I’m right about a particular subject( this may sound weird)
