Rich Rebuilds has an i8. The battery died and the entire car is locked up with no way to get in. He took it to bmw and they refused to work on it because the warranty was expired. It would cost him way to much to get it fixed. My opinion is that this is the most unreliable electric bmw ever made

My first tune up on a bentley continental was 18.5k. A pothole breaks an airbag 20k. Hit the brake pedal too hard once, 10k+. 1 of the Turbos break, 20k. Engine pops, 50-75k. Oil change, 500-700. 1 tire, 650-700. 1 headlight bulb, 1200. Plugs n wires, 3-5k. Your bill from anyone who sees it, add 50-100% 😅

The I8 brand new in the USA still costs roughly 130-150k, I’d say you are pretty wealthy if you can fork out for that.. but they depreciate like hell, and over here in the uk we can get a used mint condition low mileage one for 45-50k, still a significant amount but much more affordable overall.

The Vader cost 15,000 for the kit 11,000 for the actual car and if you want to get the kit applied to the car without having to do it yourself that’s another 10+ thousand dollars
Fun fact. That maserati quattroporte costed over 100k at its retail price. But now cost from 8k-12k due to it being a terrible car to maintain. Making it one of the least reliable cars. You’re better off buying a newer Maserati for 60k-100k if you want less maintenance.
the kit isn't 15k anymore sadly :( the guys who sold the kit sold their company to someone else and now they only sell the whole car and not the kit. It is way more expensive but it does include very good engine upgrades and stuff. I think that there is a different company selling the kit but you would have to research it :)
